A small, yet abundantly powerful stage showcases performing acts in vulnerable ways. It's hard to believe bands like the White Stripes, Soundgarden and Mastodon played here in yesteryear. Standing room only is essential and Club Downunder delivers on that front, but if you're looking to take a breather on a couch be prepared to have your line of sight blocked (ground floor or the balcony). A minimal bar has rather cheap beer for the most part. Crack open a PBR tallboy and enjoy the show \m/ There's really nothing to bash here. For an on-campus hangout, Club Downunder is as cool as it's going to get.

The sound was good, not sure if that was due to the venue or the bands themselves. There was somewhat of a strict dress code being enforced that night which didn't allow my cousin to enter due to the fact that her dress was made of a mesh material at the bottom, which is why I deducted a star from this review. After driving home to change and making it back to the club, the entrance fee had increased a whole $10 which was outrageous!!! We went ahead and paid the fee since it was her birthday but $30 per person is a little steep for a hole in the wall type establishment in my opinion. It took forever to get drinks since the place was packed wall to wall with people. Thank god one of the girls I was with knew a guy that pretty much let us squeeze in next to him and a few of his friends at a small table. After about the second drink I began to really feel myself and let loose. The Dj played a great mix of older R&B and Hip Hop hits that had the whole club singing along. I'm not sure if it was the drinks or the fact that I had hardly eaten anything that day but I was overly intoxicated after just two cups. We called it a night after I knocked over someone's plate of chicken wings and became a personal dancer for a random group of guys. Overall I enjoyed my night in the Flite and will most definitely be returning in the near future. Just a tip for the ladies, do not wear anything mesh or see through or you may be denied access into the club. Also try the wings since I've heard such good things about them from everyone who has mentioned this spot to me.

When I went, it was to go see Fluffy live, and well, while traffic did not compare to big city life, for this small city, it was quite a lot. We had floor seats all the way at the back, so we could see the show rather close up, but nevertheless, we could have gotten better seats. At any rate, the show went off without a hitch. They even had a cart for some drinks, some of which we bought and partook in. I don't remember what I ordered, but it wasn't half bad. Would return to this venue no issue.

They had live music for a while, but no one was really there and the band was just alright. Not the venues fault, but on the ad they said that they would be doing line dancing and bull rides starting at 11:30, which was a lie. Once 11:30 came they only played pop music and absolutely no line dance music. I asked the DJ if he would be playing any line dance music and he got rude and said "we don't do that here on Fridays, sorry bro" I guess the place just isn't the same since I moved to Orlando. It used to be my favorite spot, as the moon charges money to go line dancing. Really unfortunate. Used to be an awesome spot for line dancers. Now it just seems they're catering to college kids. Maybe it was just a fluke that night but I'm not sure.

Me, I did my part to follow in my father's footsteps by standing in front of the speakers while Grand Funk Railroad and Sly & The Family Stone played. If the sound level at the movies is any indication, then any regular movie goers are doing their part to keep hearing aid providers in business. When I have to remove my hearing aids because of the volume, then I think it's safe to say the sound is too loud. My wife had to wear her ear protection headphones as well. I still go when my wife wants to because she enjoys seeing some movies on the big screen but if it was just me then I would be happy to wait for any movie to come to streaming. When you only understand about 25% of the dialogue it's pretty hard to follow the movie and at home I can stream the sound into my hearing aids and control the volume. Plus there's always closed captioning if needed. Just like our previous experience with Oppenheimer, I will watch The Odyssey again when it's available for streaming so I can hear the dialogue. If the sound volume wasn't bad enough, there's the cost too although we did ok with a senior discount on our tickets for the 1 pm show. We did miss out on getting the "deal" on 1 large popcorn and 2 large drinks for only $27+ because we were running late and didn't want to miss the start of the movie. I thank my lucky stars. Spent that money instead on a much more satisfying meal at Sonny's BBQ after the movie. :-) This movie theater complex has been here awhile now and has already been through a major renovation when they installed reclining seats and other improvements. Now all of that is wearing out and another renovation is probably needed. The hydraulics in the first reclining seat that I tried wouldn't hold position and kept leaning further and further back. I have seen other seats that were marked not available, probably for the same reason. There are other signs of wear and tear as well. Despite all these things I must say that if they dealt with the loud sound level issue I would be inclined to come to the movies more often, at least during the day when I can get a discount on tickets. Still might have to stay away from the "deals" at the concession stand though. P.S. Our son is working as a well paid projectionist for the 70mm version of The Odyssey and says that the sound level is mandated and can't be turned down.
