It looks like they put chalking or something over half the crack and then painted the ceiling. When we got back from out of town, there was paint drops on our floors, they did not paint the vents on the ceiling which are now a different color and got paint on our ceiling fan because they did not take it down and just painted around it. Our house smelled like smoke and had to open the windows for the day/night to get the smell out. Ceiling looks good but it's poor how they didn't paint the vents and got paint on the floors and ceiling fan.
