An intense Saturday abs workout!
Deanna E.

This is the best gym I've ever been to! I decided to give this place a go since I had seen the Groupon and I wanted to get in shape before my wedding. I can proudly say I've lost 2 dress sizes in the 6 months I've been going here. I've toned up and found I can run faster and carry more. Jake and Leah make it a priority to make you feel welcome and to encourage you. During my first class I couldn't even do a sit up. The dedication they have is amazing. The way the gym functions is not like a regular gym. There's a lot of support from the other people in the class. Each day is a new work out so you never get bored! If you can't do something Jake is more than happy to help you modify it while still working out and building up to the actual workout. The gym is very clean! I highly recommend joining!

I know every time I show up I'm going to get a great workout. Katie and Joel are very personable and create a fun environment to workout in.

How is the atmosphere as far as bigotry? I just can't take any more of those places where people make random digs about any group of people, whether it has anything to do with me or not. I enjoy a variety of people including ages and personalities.

Our gym is a very fun, supportive, family atmosphere. Everyone is accepted here.

From your schedule it looks like you guys offer childcare. Is this accurate? If so, for what ages? Cost? TIA

Yes we do offer childcare Mon-Fri for the 9 am class only and then in the evenings from 5-7pm. If you’re doing a promotion with us its $10 per child additional and that covers the entire promotion. If you become a member with us then its $10 per… Read more

When I…read morefirst went to the informational meeting I was beyond hesitant because of the "temporary cost" it would take me to begin my challenge. I say temporary because if you put in the work, the time, and follow the plan 6 weeks down the road that money is all yours. I saw everyone around me sign the contact and I said to myself, if they can commit, why can't I ? So moments after l, there I was signing away. Day one of working out I puked and I thought ... am I made for this? Can I even keep up? And the answer is yes to all your negative thoughts, you can do it, you can keep up, you got this! And when your negative thoughts come back to you, the staff is there to remind you what you're capable of, to motivate you, and to get you to accomplish your goal! I LOVE all the trainers, they motivate you, push you, and are there every step of the way! The staff is amazing and very helpful. Lastly, the members are also with you, they're also going through challenges or workouts, and motivate you every time they push you'll want to push too. We're all there for the same purpose to bring one another up! To cut this story short 6 weeks down the road I stepped on the scale and just made the 20lbs. I had options when it came to my money and getting it back. My decision was to use the money for the membership because the camp got me started... now the camp will keep me going Thanks The camp Menifee!

It feels like people overlook the obvious: this is a small (by LA Fitness standards)…read moremembership-based gym, and you really do need to read your contract - any contract. That said, my girlfriend just signed up, and honestly, the terms were pretty straightforward--nothing complicated. I've been with LA Fitness for over 20 years across three states and even in Canada. It's not a boutique gym with luxury perks like spa treatments, dim lighting, or personal attendants--it's a high-volume gym that serves all kinds of people. They offer a solid range of amenities: classes, yoga, aquafit, core workouts, cycling, and usually a pool and a basketball court. Some have sauna and whirlpool. The Menifee location is on the smaller side, so yes, during peak hours it can be tough to access equipment. But that's just reality--you can only fit so many people into a limited space. Several nearby locations have more size and thus more amenities like a sprint track and weight sled. Not so at Minifee ... they just don't have the space. Understood. Sure, a deep clean every now and then wouldn't hurt, but it's not like the place is neglected. Staff are regularly cleaning floors and wiping down equipment throughout the day. Moreover I've always found the staff the be friendly attentive, and they answer the phone. At the end of the day, it's a busy, compact gym with decent machines, enough free weights, plus pools a basketball court that offers several fitness classes. If all that isn't worth about $1.50 a day to you, then maybe it's time to look elsewhere and see what that budget gets you.

I had a really disappointing experience at LA Fitness. The gym itself is often dirty -- equipment…read morelooks like it hasn't been wiped down, it's a small location, and the overall cleanliness feels neglected. For a place people come to improve their health, the hygiene standards should be much better. What made the experience worse was the sales staff. The membership salespeople were extremely pushy and made the whole process uncomfortable. It felt less like they were helping and more like they were pressuring me into the most expensive membership possible. When I said I wasn't interested or couldn't afford certain options, the attitude changed and it felt judgmental, like being financially shamed for setting a budget. Not all the employees were like that, there were a couple of respectful workers who were kind and professional but unfortunately they were the exception. Overall, between the poor cleanliness and aggressive sales tactics, I wouldn't recommend this location.
