I've had such a positive experience at Fitness 19 in Menifee. The gym is always clean and well kept, and it has a really comfortable, low-pressure atmosphere that makes it easy to come in, get your workout done, and feel welcome. I especially want to recognize Curtis. I spoke with him after my workout today and he was incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely went above and beyond to help me. I actually didn't realize until afterward that he runs this location, which made the interaction even more impressive. He was just a genuinely nice person providing great customer service without making a big deal about it. Everyone I've interacted with here has been friendly and helpful, and you can tell that the atmosphere of the gym reflects the way it's managed. Whoever answers the phone (today at least) is super rude! I got a text today TELLING ME TO CALL IN AND schedule my welcome workout because I just signed up online yesterday. So how does the guy who answer the phone sound upset I called lmao YOU GUYS TOLD ME TO CALL, then when I tell him I'm trying to schedule my welcome workout he gets rude and says "uhm just come in" uhm well why send a text telling my to call as if I should schedule it?! Rudeeeee yo a customer who hasn't even came in yet and just paid for a year membership!!! You should be nice to a new member instead of make me regret this membership before I even step one foot in that gym. This is by far the dirtiest gym I've ever been to. Restrooms have mildew rings around the toilet, walls are covered in dust, filthy sink. You're lucky if there's hand soap. The lockers haven't been wiped down since this place opened. The machines are dirty, massive dust balls everywhere. Dirty paper towels between machine cords. They need a daily cleaning crew ASAP. It's gross to be in there, no one comes in to deep clean. You need a tetanus shot after leaving this place. read more

I've been a member of this gym since 2013 and over the years I've brought four memberships with me, so this review comes from long-term experience, not a one-off visit. Unfortunately, the decline in equipment maintenance has been extremely disappointing. Multiple machines are broken or only partially functional, and some feel unsafe to use. Loose cables, worn-out padding, and constant "out of order" signs are far too common. This isn't a temporary problem -- it's clear that proper maintenance has been neglected. To be fair, the staff is friendly and helpful, and they genuinely seem to feel bad for members who are paying for memberships while dealing with these conditions. That said, there's only so much they can do when the real issue is higher up. I've also tried repeatedly to contact the corporate office, and there appears to be no clear or effective way to communicate with them, which only adds to the frustration. For the cost of membership -- especially for loyal, long-term members -- this level of upkeep and lack of accountability is unacceptable. "Temporary out of service" I have been a member for over a decade and have seen Menifee grow. A successful business needs to grow to continue their success, listen to your members, keep your place of business clean, with equipment that works, and have it operated by great people! Unfortunately, Fitness 19-Menifee is choosing not to grow with Menifee. Equipment is constantly broken and they have brought in a two pieces of new equipment ; only after EOS opened and memberships were being lost. The eight stair master machines they do have need to be replaced. Over the last few months 1/2 the machines have the "temporarily out of service sign" . Please replace your equipment, your members would appreciate it and not have to close our membership for other gyms growing in the area. read more

If you're looking for a gym that doubles as an endurance test for your immune system, Fitness 19 might be your spot. The bathrooms are consistently filthy--like "did anyone ever clean this?" filthy. The toilets alone could qualify as a biohazard training scenario. Most of the equipment is either dusty, broken, or both, which really adds to the rustic, abandoned-warehouse aesthetic. Weights are never put back in any recognizable order, so every workout starts with a scavenger hunt. The 3 AM morning staff seems very committed to socializing--with members and each other--but less committed to things like taking out the trash, wiping down equipment, or addressing the science experiment happening in the bathrooms. Watching conversations continue while trash overflows and grime builds character, I guess. Overall, if cleanliness and basic sanitation matter to you, this probably isn't the gym. If not, congrats--you'll feel right at home. read more

Not too bad of a gym...most of the teachers are nice except for Tatiana. Scary lady. Very aggressive. Yells at you but not in a good way! She says she has been there so long "they'll never fire" her. Meh.. idk why this location seems small (or maybe it's just always crowded?!), but it's alright. Parking is decent, and the staff greets you when you check in. I like that, but one of the young guys with dark curly/wavy hair doesn't seem to know anything. I asked him 2 or 3 questions, and he didn't know the answers. I'm not sure if he's new here, but I would have him shadow someone until he seems confident enough to make a good impression to members. That was not good. The machines are usually occupied, so you're often left to wander around until one opens up. You could always use one of the 3 rowing machines while you wait. I don't ever see anyone on them, and last I went, 1 was out of order as were a few other machines. I haven't been to this location for a few weeks as Murrieta is more convenient for me. Idk when I'll be back, but I hope the broken machines are fixed. The red light therapy booth is usually available, but good luck with the hydromassage tables. Most times, they work, but other times, they're down. I also didn't like the attempt to upsell me on personal training sessions. I did the trial as it came with my membership, but I declined. After I declined, one of the managers tried to "cut me a deal" so I would buy into it. I didn't do it. I dislike pressure to buy when I am already firm on my decision. I understand having to make sales, especially if you work on commission, but yeah, noooo thank you. All in all, it's a notch under the Murrieta location. I forgot the one girl's name who was really nice and helpful, I think it starts with a K. Anyway, she knows what she's doing, and she's the one you wanna go to if you have questions. I don't even know why I still pay for a membership here. It's such a waste of time. All of their stair masters are constantly down. Today, out of the 10 or so they have, only 3 are open. And it's been that way for months. Always changing which ones are available. Curtis, Jamie and the entire crew at Fitness 19 are awesome and really nice. They are very welcoming and always have a positive attitude and energy when you walk in. The Trainers are great and carry themselves in a professional manner. Even on its busiest days, never had an issue with parking. Members ages all vary and I've never seen any drama, I haven't seen any social media influencers recording or witnessed any one toxic. I have witnessed members motivate each other, push and inspire one another and form friendships. Hands free water fountain and cleaning stations are all visible and always stocked so you have no excuses not to clean up your equipment. Gym is clean and offers a variety of classes. Squat racks with mirrors all around and a HITT type unit in the middle with TRX bands and green turf for those who love to do sled drills like I do. They even offer an area for your kiddos to play in while you workout. I recommend folks of all fitness levels come and give fitness 19 a try! This is the way! read more

Unethical gym that's stuck in its ways and isn't changing with the times. The amount of paperwork they have you sign has you feeling like you're taking out a car loan. My wife signed up, and after being told she can get out of the year-long contract for moving out of state, ended up having to pay the full contract value. There aren't that many locations, which adds to the lack of value. The selection of machines is on par with what you'd find at any LA fitness or 24 hour fitness, yet they charge significantly more. I don't understand what the value proposition is for a gym with fewer locations, similar equipment, and yet locks you into an ironclad contract at a higher rate than your average gym. Do yourself a favor and stick with something like GymPass. Easy activation, month to month, and no BS cancellation. Antiquated gyms like Fitness 19, with predatory business models, will eventually die in favor of these newer gym memberships. read more

Somehow I got signed up twice for a membership. I went to the manager after it charged me and asked him to cancel 1 of the membership's so I'm not double charged. Instead of just doing it right there, he wouldn't look me in the face and said he would get to it. I even CALLED 2 days later and spoke to him, to double check that he canceled it. He hadn't but he said "yes I'll get to it." But not surprisingly, I got double charged AGAIN today. That's just pure laziness from the management team.
