I truly enjoy working out at Default Fitness. I have tried 3 other gyms in the Murrieta and Temecula area, but none were as welcoming as default. I really appreciate when coaches take their time to actually include everyone in the warm ups before workouts. It does not matter if you have been here for a month or 4 years, coaches and members will always go over stretches and lifting techniques before beginning the workout. They make sure you are lifting appropriately with good form, and will motivate you to keep challenging yourself and meet your goals. All of the coaches are mindful of different fitness levels and what will work best for members. Have an Injury? They will accommodate! Can't do a push up, sit up, pull up, or have a bad knee? Do not worry, the coaches will see what works best for you to be able to complete the workout appropriately. read more

This place is more than a gym, it's a fitness family. Coaches were welcoming and took time to teach proper form and give useful progressions so everyone (beginners to experienced athletes) can get a great workout safely. The class schedule is flexible, the small-group setting keeps the attention personal. The facility is clean, well-equipped, and the workouts are challenging in the best way -- What stands out most is the community: people cheer each other on and coaches customize workouts. If you want a supportive place that will push you and actually teach you how to move better, Default Fitness is the one. Highly recommend! read more

Default is hands down my favorite place to train. The Hyrox classes are intense, well-structured, and perfectly programmed to build real endurance and strength, while the CrossFit classes are top-notch with knowledgeable coaches who truly care about proper form and progress. The community is incredibly motivating and welcoming--whether you're a beginner or an experienced athlete, you feel supported and pushed to be your best. It's more than just a gym, it's a community and a family. If you are competing in a Hyrox, there is no where around town that will prepare you for your race other than default fitness! The Saturday 0700 classes are a perfect Hyrox simulation style. 10/10 would recommend read more

I joined 6 months ago after having 2+ years of my life put on hold due to a serious issue involving my spinal cord. To say I was scared and very timid is an understatement. I explained in detail my concerns and relayed what my neurosurgeon said was acceptable as to what I could do. Rita (the owner) made me feel comfortable and assured me that modifications to the workouts can be made. I did my first class (which was free) and it was the best decision ever. In these 6 months, I have lost over 20 lbs and I'm stronger than I thought possible. They have a variety of classes (Functional Fitness, Lite Fitness Deka, Hyrox, CrossFit, and others). All the coaches are knowledgeable, personable, and their instruction as to proper form and technique is paramount (they keep a close eye on you). This is a great gym. No egos or attitudes. Welcoming to everyone and where they are at in their fitness journey. read more

Great gym / crossfit box. This place deserves over 5 stars. Its a small niche Crossfit Box. Once you join you will feel like it's your second family. I was originally a bit hesitant on crossfit as there were some rumors of high injury rates. Well this place this isnt the case as they heavily focus on form and making sure you can handle the exercise before doing it. What you get is a daily WOD (workout of the day) and if you cant do the exercise they will find a modified version that you can do until you build up the strength and flexibility to do the full version. A big benefit is that when I work out on my own, once I'm a bit winded, or tired.. my mind goes ok..good job and I'm done. The thing is that's your comfort zone.. and for the majority of people that comfort zone bar is set really low. You have a lot more..you.can usually do. Well when you are in a group class.. with.an instructor. There is this competitive nature that comes out, and the instructor will gently nudge you.... as well as your teammates so you go past your comfort zones... and will see big improvements in yourself. The gym has a focus on getting you to improve. The coaches will motivate you, but so will the other crossfit attendees. Another benefit is the social aspect here. They will have excursions outside their local box. A hiking/camping day, a pool day, and many others. 5 stars read more

Default CrossFit is not like any other gym! Here you will find new friends who become family. I started at this gym almost 2 years ago with 0 knowledge about CrossFit, it was the best decision I ever made! Everyone pushes and cheers each other on, from the person who just got a new PR to being the last one to finish a workout. I've worked out at other gyms and boot camps for a couple months then gave up. At default the coaches will hold you accountable and will make sure you're always motivated!! I am addicted! Not just to CrossFit but to Default CrossFit. I 100% recommend this place to anyone and everyone. No matter what gender, age or athletic level. I have never been a gym junky or really enjoyed a workout- that is at least, until I started here. Danielle teaches most of the classes throughout the day and is an amazing coach/teacher. Very knowledgeable, friendly and pushes you to your max but also modifies to your ability. Workouts vary everyday and are very approachable. You are never bored! The members are nice and always welcoming to new people. read more

A great place to work out, learn proper techniques and achieve goals. Even though the classes are for groups, Danielle works with you individually on proper technique and goal setting while working through your limitations. Default Crossfit is a place where the people you workout with become your friends and supports. You get amazing coaching from Danielle and the other coaches all while having fun with your new tribe. Yes, I said fun. You will be doing a very challenging workout but you'll finish and feel so good and proud of yourself, and your body will thank you. This is not an intimidating crossfit. Don't be nervous. There isn't a single person there that will make you feel out of place. Everyone genuinely roots for each other's successes. Being that it's in Wildomar and right off of the freeway, it is a nice central location! Murrieta, Temecula, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Canyon Lake, we've had peeps from all over! Don't wait, check it out!! read more

After reading Rochelle C's post I could agree more. Safe and supported is a great way to describe Crossfit Default. The best Crossfit in the Temecula/Murrieta/Wildomar! The age demographic is about late twenties to late fifties. It just makes me feel more comfortable when I walk in. Got kids? there is an entire play set just like Check E Cheese. I which I had a place like that when my kids were little instead of handing them a phone the starting the workout. Nothing like trying to finish a workout while your child is screaming your name. read more

Great Workout. I like the atmosphere and everyone is super friendly and supportive. I have enjoyed every single class at DFCF.

Danielle is incredible. It's personal training and nutritional training all in a safe place. I've had back surgery and had heard nightmare stories about the "safety" issues of Crossfit. Now my back is stronger than it's ever been and I can lift weight "they" said I could never lift! And it's due to Default! I love it!! read more

I took my first class today and I'm hooked. Danielle and Yen were so kind, caring, and helpful. I wasn't intimidated in the least and the whole class was supportive and uplifting. I highly recommend Default Crossfit. read more

I was interested in trying CrossFit, but it seemed kind of intimidating. You know, all those "buff" people throwing heavy weights around, I was like woah. I was not fit and I've never really kept up with working out regularly until I started at Default. As soon as I got there I felt welcome and realized not every CrossFitter is crazy buff. The WODS are scaled to fit your abilities, and Danielle helps you figure out what you need, all while pushing you to give it all you got. My favorite part has now become the friendships that are made, the laughter that is shared, and the muscles that are built. It has given me a different perspective and changed my life for the better. read more

I love this place. Great atmosphere. They have a great play area for the kids that's fenced in.
