In the planning stages, Alyssa was very helpful with suggestions about items for our menu and for amounts we might need for our gathering. We really didn't know how many people would come. Set-up was quick and, as I expected, cheerful. We appreciated her providing table tents (cards) to identify the ingredients in the dishes. All the food items were awesome! Thank you, Alyssa and Mickala! We received many compliments from our guests about the delicious food, especially the fresh fruit platter and the desserts. The grilled beef sliders were very popular. The dressings and dips were excellent, too. Twisted Whisk - outstanding in every respect!

*Review is strictly based on her customer service…read more I called to inquire about catering for my wedding next year and spoke to Kristen. I gave her all the details and she wrote everything down and said she would pass it along to Ashley who would then give me a call back to go over everything in more detail. After about a week of not hearing back from them, I gave them another call and left a voice mail. That was a few weeks ago and I still haven't heard back.. After reading some reviews it seems like this isn't the first time they've ghosted people. If communication is this difficult in the beginning, then I can't imagine how it will be leading up to our wedding. No thank you.

When you first walk in, the atmosphere is just perfect and you just want to walk around and look at all of the beautiful and interesting artwork (and the pastry case!). The menu items for July/August are so enticing that it's almost impossible to pick but we ended up getting the tomato tart (one of our favorite bites of the night), the zucchini fritters and caprese gnocchi soup to start. For our main course we selected the lemon ricotta pasta, the chimichurri steak tips and the sea bass skewers (you don't see sea bass on menus often and this one shouldn't be missed- it's incredible) . We were all so happy with all of our delicious meals (I even took bread to get every bite on my sea bass entree). We were shocked when we saw our check- surely they had missed an item or two- it was such a low price. What a bargain. I'm not a great photographer but enjoy some pictures from our evening. My excitement made my sister make a quick turn. We walk in to see a small display case adorned with various pastries. I'm a sucker for a good flaky pastry, so of course I tried the chocolate croissant. I also LOVE chocolate chip cookies! Both were delicious. The cookie was the perfect combination of crispy and chewy, there was a hint of salt, it was nicely browned. The croissant was perfectly laminated layer after layer, and the pistachio mixture that was in the center; it reminded me of a Fifth Avenue bar. Only negative thing...there was too much filling, I'm not a big filling gal. I would be doing a disservice if I didn't mention the wonderful service we received. "Mr. Croissant" was personable and honestly probably the best interaction I've had with a baker (and I've been to a lot of bakeries). If you are in the area please checkout this cozy little bakery. We walked in expecting a typical dining experience with a menu but found out things had changed…read moredramatically. Our hostess, who we later found out was the owner, explained to us that if we wanted food, we could order it from outside where there was a traveling chef with a pizza oven. This was a big change from the usual menu and what we had expected. We decided to go with the flow, take a seat at the Ouija board table, place our drink orders, and go outside to order food. This week the chef had a woodfired pizza oven. Keep in mind, cider is the focus here. So, my husband's old fashioned was made with cider. Hearing this, I asked for my cider on the side rather than in my cosmo. We learned that the owner's background is movie set design and that she worked on movies like Harry Potter, so the decor was a combination of old industrial plant and haunted house. The bar had "potions" with smoke oozing out. There were also skeletons and skulls throughout the restaurant along with spooky photos that changed from normal to scary. She even allowed us to explore the different back rooms one of which she called the "swamp room." The pizza was good, and we enjoyed listening to the live music which wasn't overwhelmingly loud. Overall, everyone was kind and made us feel welcome. We later ordered the blueberry cobbler for dessert which was warm and tasty.

The cider flight was delicious. There is plenty of seating, include extensive outdoor seating that looks out to the forests surrounding. Indoors is filled with spooky, eclectic industrial decor.
