I first entered St Davids Medical Center Down Town Austin Texas on about 6/11/2026 to ER at about…read more3:00 AM Was admitted to 4 East. I was found to have 2 lumbar Compression fxs. by cat-scan. The Hospitalist that first saw me on 4 east was extremely rude in her manner. I can take rude but she failed to referr me to an orthopedic doctor for my acute fractures. She failed to order a TLSO brace to prevent the progression of the compression fractures. Some doctor who I never met decided I needed Kyphoplasty surgery. However I was told I had to have a MRI to have the surgery. I am 325 lbs and too big for their MRI so I was denied surgery. I ask for a reasonable accomidation to have the MRI done at a outpatient facility that has a wide bore MRI Scanner. This request was denied by some supervisory woman who did not introduce herself. I was denied this ADA accommodation and I ask for discharge which was done without any followup help finding an MRI I could fit in. I purchased my own TLSO as I am a retired Physical Therapist hainge practiced at this hospital for about 12 years. t

She had sliced her thumb badly and although I…read morerecommended Seton Smithville as I had received wonderful care there, she suggested that we go to Davam Urgent Care in Giddings instead. We arrived at 3:30 and although she was admitted right away, I was told at 8 pm that the nurse practitioner was incapable of stitching her thumb. We drove to the ER at Seton and she was seen in less than 15 minutes and had 7 stitches in her thumb and was out before 10. She was treated with kindness and dignity. I cannot recommend this hospital and their staff enough. Thank you Seton for the excellent work you always do.

The emergency room staff were top notch, but unfortunately there was one nurse from the 4th floor named Patricia who stuck her nose in my business and called the police when I said "Fuck". They held food and liquids from me due to a G.I. scope procedure. The problem was they never came to get me the first day and I had to argue with the Charge nurse for ice water. The 2nd day the charge nurse told me I was on the schedule for 10:30 am, nut they would most likely get me at 9:30 for labs. At 11 am I started getting angry due to being hungry and dry mouthed. This is when Patricia stuck her skank nose in my business when I asked how long does it take to get a glass of fucking ice water? Telling me I couldn't have any until talking to the doctor. I asked how long that was going to take and in a pissy response told me give him two minutes he's on another floor! Then she went to send the police to my room. Great way to provide care to cancer patients who already have trouble eating. I've lost 45 pounds in a month so far and can't be denied food when I need to eat. The doctor never showed up and I was told by the G.I. nurse that scopes aren't scheduled until after 3 pm. They lied to my face so I had no choice but to check myself out of the hospital and seek treatment at a better hospital called Baylor Scott and White where they actually care. Top nurses at Seton 4th floor were Grace, Aurora, Gilbert, Lori (mama bear) and Raynel. Patricia is useless and has absolutely no bedside manner. Don't stick your nose in someone else's business if you don't want to get bit!!!

RN Nikki got me back to a room, listened to all my complaints and even had me laughing through my pain. Nikki was wonderful and made a rough situation better, she's funny, caring and over all everything I ask for in a medical care giver. Joe (tech) was ready and waiting to help me and get vitals. Dr. Patel was quick and efficient. I will continue to go to Ally for emergent needs.

I have been trying to get information about this charge, but they don't keep record of me being authorized so they can talk to me; I work 8 to 5 ; I don't have him with me to authorize each time I call asking them to explain the charge for a "ghost service". Just be careful driving by 1826. You might get a bill! Thankful for the person who gave us a figure.

The hospital staff gave her wonderful care. My wife is 85 and I worried about whether I could help her if something bad happened during the night so the hospital found her a room and provider a sitter to watch over her all night and until I arrived around 10am. They asked me "did you lay down on the floor. Who the hell lays on a gross hospital bathroom floor?They did an EKG. put me back in the waiting room.They did take blood and could see the infection, an hour later they did not call me back to a room.I did not see anyone for over an hour. Finally a doctor came in spoke to me about 2 minutes, never touch me, did not ask hardly any questions to our surprise the the next RN came in about 15 minutes later with my discharge papaers!!! We asked are they not going to do the CT SCAN? He replied oh they have not dont that.... idiot. They rolled me down to cat scan, where I knew the tech from another trip, she was fabulous. The doctor came in and said they would be keeping me due to mass infection in my kidneys, really! Stayed 2 days staff there was great Felesa and Kerne wonderful and on top of thing. They tried taking me to the ICU but held off, my BP was 67/45. It moved around all day. So home with a stint for 2 weeks to drain infection then for the kidney stones. Moral of this story: DO NOT GO TO GVMC ER unless you ONLY have only a broken toe nail.
