Also this was a follow up "visit" from my annual. I have had this experience before and I was never asked to pay for my follow up appt and I was told "it's a part of your annual, you don't need to. It's covered." when I asked at Lone Star Medical why I needed to pay for a follow up visit, her answer at the front desk was "it's $25 :)". So I was like whatever, just get it over with. But I don't think that was fair. On regards to the provider care, I was told everything was fine -many things were, but not everything. I caught a low level for something on my bloodwork and a high one that's been alarming for me for a couple of years now and my provider just goes "it's not bad". But I do have several symptoms of something "unknown" and "undiagnosed" things that aren't normal. The wait times when I was scheduled and fasted was insane. The lab provider was amazing! 5 stars to her. In all senses. Great at her work and she deserves a raise! Also, I had recommended a friend so she could have her annual visit and we both are new patients, however, they never ever called her back to schedule hers. Of course she ended up going somewhere else. I just wish this town would have better options that take insurance and provide caring care. Not business care. My provider, however, the great things I can say is that she has an amazing personality and made me feel like home while in the office visit with her. However, communication after my appointment didn't meet my expectations.

I see Dr. Jay Gruhlkey and it is always a pleasant experience. You really have to appreciate his professional, yet laid back jeans and a button up shirt and cowboy boots, approach to medical care. He has never steered me wrong, and his bedside manner is outstanding. Listens to your issues, does not judge, and explores all options to treat your issues. Highly recommend him. He is hard to get in to see, but if you have time to wait, definitely try to.

After reaching out for recommendations in a local FB group, Dr. Tubb came highly recommended. I was pleased as to how quickly they were able to get me in as well. After meeting Dr. Tubb, I was confident he was the right choice. After a couple of tests (to rule out any potential causes for my continued pain, to avoid a revision). Unfortunately, a revision it is Everyone at the office has been very kind. Even tho I am nervous as all get out about surgery again, I am confident that Dr. Tubb will be able to do my revision with no issues. Definitely recommend Dr. Tubbs for hip issues!

I've been trying to see this in any way that would not make this "ER" look as terrible as it is. I have been unsuccessful. I'll make this as short as possible. My wife went in for severe stomach pain around midnight. She searched ER and this place was closest. They even have an EMERGENCY ROOM sign. She was placed in a room, nurse asked a few questions, then was left alone. A biller or front desk lady came in and said they know what it likely is but needed $800 before they could even say what she was paying for. She took my wife's cc (while shes crying in pain) and left. Card declined 3 times so she came in and asked for another. Baffled as to why an emergency room was holding life saving information hostage behind a paywall, I gave her the address to the actual hospital when she called me asking for $800, in pain, panicking, and sobbing. My wife left and drove to Christus Santa Rosa. There we learned her appendix was about to rupture. She had surgery that same morning. Something we paid for with heartfelt thanks. This Urgent Care let my wife leave without recommending she immediately go to the hospital, or asking if they could call someone, or helping in any way. If they would have done even that much i would not be writing this now. For all they care she could've died in the parking lot. We understand this is a business. They may have improved in the 5 years since this took place but I wont be risking my family here. This is a place you go to when your Dr. is unavailable. This is not a place to go if you're in an actual emergency.

I've been seeing Dr. Alissa for 13 years now. At first I didn't care for his bedside manner, but…read moreeventually adapted to it. About 6 years ago, I had a painful hip injury (I have Psoriatic RA). While I had received several steroid injections for previous injuries from him, this injury was bad. When I called his office, I requested an appointment ASAP for an injection. That same day, Dr Alissa called me personally, to schedule an after-hours injection. I was shocked that a doctor had personally called me and that he went out of his away to accommodate me. After his practice grew, he began to use P.A.'s, which I didn't mind as I found them very helpful. If I am having an issues, Dr. Alissa will talk to me. One of the PA's actually recommended a change in my medication that was very helpful. They are always very thorough and listen well. Occasionally, Dr Alisa will pop in just to say hello and to see that I have what need. Nurse Deborah is a doll and very personable. While the office staff is not the friendliest, they do their jobs well. Once, years ago, the staff had overlooked me as I sat in the waiting room. When I finally asked if I had been overlooked, they apologized profusely, especially Nurse Deborah. I appreciated the fact that they were accountable for their mistake and I feel that mistakes happen occassionally. However, they treated me royally for the rest of the year! Also, if you run out of medication absentmindedly, you should call the doctor's office and they will work with you to get your prescription filled. The staff denies filling the prescription from your pharmacy, if you have not been for your regular check-up. My pharmacy usually calls the office for a refill, but I usually follow up with the office to address the hold up.

Thank God it's right off the freeway. I walked in and was greeted immediately from a very nice woman. Instead of going though twenty questions. She asked the few questions and in under 5 min. I was in the examination room. All I can say is very nice staff very friendly. The doctor very undead great bedside manner. I will definitely tell others about this place.

A YEAR LATER... 2026... I received another bill for 85. A YEAR! I don't have the same insurance and I'm not working. I called numerous times to ask if they could work with me on this and they refused. I just payed it... but the surprise charge A YEAR AFTER SERVICE sure didn't feel fair.
