Wanted to give this place 5 stars for: -taking me on such short notice -not being too expensive -rooms are actually room, as opposed to the divider wall type "room" at some places -clean and nice looking -massage table was comfy and the face protector is cloth so it doesn't leave lines on your face I took away stars because: -my massage therapist came into the room as I was still putting on clothes even after I yelled, "no. Do not come in!" Even then, she gave me 30 seconds to put a top on and proceeded to go in and started taking off the sheets and cleaning up as I was still trying to gather my stuff and put on my shoes. read more

I usually do not write reviews, whether if it was a good or bad experience. Everybody has there own way of working and I usually like to veer away from doing things that'll affect others. But, I thought this was a great example of a good massage but poor attitude. I had Judy and I don't know her personally, but I could tell she wasn't patient. She either wanted the massage over or wasn't thinking about what she doing. I caught her whispering something in Chinese after I asked her if she could decrease the intensity of how hard she was going and she got upset. Alright, if you have ever stepped into a foot massage place...mostly operated by Chinese masseuses, then you know how they differ from your traditional spas...a lot of karate chop, abrupt moves. I have left numerous foot massage places with isolated pain. I love Burke Williams and I can be a real spa snob. If you go to Burke Santana Row (go see Mark!!) Today, I needed a massage stat and no appts. were available with Mark at Burke. My friend recommended this spot -- so I thought why not, close to home and I was in dire need of a massage. I called and got an appt. The place is clean, small front room with water available, and separate rooms. Their website is pretty useful, photos and descriptions of staff are kinda funny but cute. I picked Melody because it said she specializes in SPORT and I typically get DEEP TISSUE massages. Melody - 70 minutes Deep Tissue Massage at medium pressure - She has small, thin hands but damn -- girl is strong!! She worked my knots in my shoulders, my cramps in my calves, and quads out. She asked me what areas to focus on. Her English is fairly good. She said my left side was extremely tight and my lower back was extremely tight (all true). She did straddle on the bed at one point and worked the heck out of my lower back. That was awesome. Oh, and they massage your buttocks. That's different...Fine with me. They wipe the oils off you with hot towels near the end. Finished off with a face and scalp massage, at this point I could sleep. $55 - for 70 minutes (if you pay with credit card), $50 if you pay with cash. Yeah, thats annoying-- but next time I will just bring cash. $10 - for lavender oil. I asked the receptionist what they used and she said non-fragranced oil for free, but I wanted lavender because I am spa snob, remember? :) Next time, I will probably bring my own and ask them to use it. It is just like those nail shops -- extra $5 for every thing. $5 - 20 minutes in steam room. Okay, remember when I said I am a spa snob? I usually chill in the steam room before & after my massages. this time I was there at 4pm and hung out for about 15 minutes in there (temp said 115 degrees F). Then proceeded to my massage. Steam room was empty, just me. Was able to take my towel off and chill in solitude. Clean. Shower was available outside to rinse off. They provided plenty of towels, slippers and a robe. Anyhow - last minute non-snobby spa experience for $70 ($55 massage + $5 steam room + $10 lavender). I feel great. I am going to sleep great. I would come back for Melody. Can't beat the price!! p.s. $50 for 70 minutes of solid bodywork? How can you go wrong? Well, at many places---you can go wrong. I've had numerous massages where knots are left in the most inopportune locations or where the masseuse failed to heed my instructions that I like deep tissue, but my experience with Jasmin was none of the above. The front desk lady was short and efficient ($1 extra charge if you want to use your credit card), but the overall place was clean. I did find it interesting that they have to post a sign in each of their rooms announcing that they "do NOT perform illegal activities" at the establishment (I guess a few of the patrons must have tried to get frisky?) but overall my experience was great. The massage was definitely deep tissue (Jasmin did periodically ask if I needed less pressure) with a mix of thai stretching. Overall, I am a big fan of Jasmin and definitely intend to make this my "go-to" in Fremont. read more

After 8 hours and 5 days a week of looking at computer, a nice body massage would be an ideal way to release the stress and tension. This place is bright, clean, and nice environment as well as enjoy the soft music they had it on, because it helps to relax my body. I really like that they had shower and steam room facility which most spa I've gone to do not have. It feels really good to have a massage after shower or steam, for that way my skin can really observe the oil. My masseuse is Cece, her English isn't that good but able to communicate. I really like the professionalism attitude she had. She worked on the points and pressure on my neck and shoulder as good as an acupressure. Then she uses her elbow on my back and it's pretty even strength. I even request her to press it harder in some areas, especially the mid-section of my back. I'm not sure it's because they way I sit or what, I always have lots of tension there. Over all, it's a really pleasant massage, so I gave her a $20.00 tip for her hard work. I booked online and had to pay in advance, which I found odd. When I got to the office, Judy was yelling at someone on the phone. Not a great sign. She huffed around after that then dealt with a customer in front of me. She told him she only charged him for a "normal" massage since nobody was available for the deep tissue massage he booked. He asked what a normal massage was and Judy shrugged her shoulders and giggled. What was that supposed to mean? Turns out Judy was giving me my deep tissue massage. She seemed impatient but otherwise the massage felt good and was in fact deep tissue. At some point, Judy had to leave the room to get a hot towel. I don't get a chance to receive their service. I purchased a groupon and called in to make a weekend appointment. And the lady told me the deal is only good from Monday to Thursday and within certain hours ( i didn't hear correctly, but it's like 10 - 5 or something) that people have a regular daytime job will never make it. The restriction was nowhere mentioned on the groupon. And then she said that's groupon's fault and plus weekend is their busiest hours and why they are serving groupon customers in that time. My 5-star rating is really more for the masseuse Lili than the studio. I'm 70 years old and over the years have gotten massages all over the world. Lily is consistently the BEST I have ever had and always my wife and I always request her. She is always able to find the spots that needs the most work. My wife has been in pain for many years due to an old neck injury. Lili has been able to bring her a great deal of relief and reduced her pain. Lily is everything you could need in reducing your stress and relieve your pains. I and my wife are regulars and couldn't imagine life without her. Give her a try and enjoy ... you deserve the BEST. My first time getting a "professional" massage!! Except this place was a lot more asian than I expected. I was referred here by a friend because they had a really good deal of $50 for 70 minutes. Since we didn't have an appointment, we were told to wait in the front for maybe 5 minutes while they set up the rooms. When I got to my room it was nice and warm from the heater. My masseuse was friendly and funny making me feel comfortable. She did apply a little too much pressure on my back though at some parts but she said I had too many knots and was trying to massage them out -_- I would probably only come back here for the deal because my back was still sore after I walked out. read more

Well....that is actually VERY incorrect. Me and my boyfriend NEVER once asked for a firmer massage. And my boyfriend was NEVER asked or told that he needed a deep tissue massage. IN FACT we both stated to our masseuses that the pressure was too hard. You state that your employees know english very well but I don't think that is a VERY incorrect statement, as my boyfriend actually told his masseuse several times DO NOT massage his legs, but would NOT listen to him at all! And in fact went harder and hurt him to the point that he walked out limping! If you think that is professional and is someone that is "trained" and has a certificate in massaging. I think your certificates need to be checked and your training needs to be done better. As for the so called compliments from me and him gave, we just said thank you, as we are not mean or rude people by nature. And do know that massaging for 90 minutes can be tiring. And I would like to mention that your employee DID in fact, CHASE us out to our truck, RUNNING. And in English, asked for her tip. Which I stated to her that it was inside and could be split with the other masseuse, the $7 dollars that my boyfriend had left. Which was left to be nice, NOT at all because we enjoyed or liked our massages. As your employee did not seem to like that she did not get the tip that she wanted. She then threw her hand in the air, as to seem to flip us off and said something and went inside. First visit after purchasing a Groupon for a nice discount.. After doing a little research and hearing good reviews related to massage by Mary, I booked her via their website.. Although when I arrived they seem a little confused about my reservation and then confused about my groupon... Anyway, after that was sorted out, no more problems... Nice, clean, and quiet place. First, Mary asked me about what I wanted to concentrate on today. Many other similar massage places simply go about their generic massage without asking you. Some ask and ignore your requests anyway. Others can't even understand English enough to speak with you.. No problems with Mary... She understood me, repeated exactly what I needed and smiled with a "no problem" I asked her to concentrate only on my back, neck, and shoulders as I have problem areas there. I said I want a strong, deep tissue massage... She said " no problem" and then proceeded to warn me that I could be a little sore the next day.. Then she proceeded to give me the treatment.. I get a massage by Lina every week and she is both a great masseuse and a very good person. It's always a pleasant experience because she is a wonderful masseuse but also a very good person to talk with. She knows exactly what part of my body needs work and the required pressure--not too much--not to little. I'm always amazed with those who don't realize the long hours she and others work and are only willing to give a $10 tip and then have the gall to say they received a great massage but are not willing to tip even $20. It's not the percentage that matters but the quality of the massage and dedicated hard work of Lina and others. This is a very clean and inviting environment and I would ignore reviews that agree with all my comments but are too cheap to pay for a wonderful massage. I've been going here for several months, sometimes for the light to medium pressure massage provided by Amy, sometimes for the hard/deep massage provided by Diana. It just depends upon what I need (and who's available). Both provide an excellent massage. The 70 minute massage is 70 minutes, not 60 with 5 on either end for changing. The facility has several massage rooms down a hallway. Each room I've been in has been clean. They also have racks on the ceiling which the therapist can use for walking on your back. It's a different experience and worth trying at least once. At the end of the hallway are two showers and a steam room. The showers are clean with a good supply of clean towels. Neutragena body wash is provided which is a nice touch. Bathrobes and flip flops are provided for your use. Not all therapists are fluent in English, but they all understand enough to do their job. WSS is located in an Asian shopping center with adequate parking. It's near the intersection with Mission and Warm Springs Blvd. Their service is consistent, the staff friendly, and the massage is good. That's why I've been a regular customer. I went to this place several times already and always enjoyed the massages. The lighting ambient is perfect, it is not too bright or too dark. There is a nice oil painting in every room and the steam room and shower room is clean and comfortable to use. I have this stubborn shoulder pain and I tried other places and and the pain just won't go away. Cici is especially good at acupressure and my shoulder feels much better now. I even gave her a $30 tips. However, Cici's english conversation is not her best. I will recommend Warm Spring Spa to any one. read more
