I really really want to love this place - but it's just okay. Some of the food is good but some isn't great and it can be hit or miss depending on the night. They deliver so that's a plus. Just wish the food was consistently good. For example, I LOVE dumplings but the ones at Wang's are subpar. They are tough, flavorless and their dipping sauce isn't the delicious tangy version that you'd find at a better restaurant. The pork fried rice is usually good but some of the other dishes are very "one note"- greasy and in a brown or white sauce. The Crab Rangoon are also flavorless and forgettable. There is no inventiveness on the menu, just the 1970's greasy Chinese you grew up on. How about some pan fried green beans, soup dumplings or inventive appetizers?! It's too bad as a burgeoning restaurant city that you still can't find high quality Chinese food out this way. Dumpling Daughter in Weston and Cambridge and Empire in Portland, ME are great examples of what Wang's could be. Time to step it up!! read more

Great little spot in the center of town. Within walking distance of home. I have never been disappointed with the food. Veggies so fresh and dishes are really colorful. We've had almost everything on the dinner menu and we keep exploring their dinner fare. We happened upon a traditional Chinese meal of sautéed tomatoes and scrambled eggs that is not on the menu. We saw Chinese exchange students eating this dish and they were really enjoying it. If they keep cooking with those fresh ingredients, Wang's Table will prosper. read more

We always order take out from Wang's but this is our first time actually coming in. Service was very good and it was a very calm atmosphere. Food came out in a timely fashion and was very delicious. General Tso chicken, dry string beans, and chicken and broccoli!! We will continue to patronize this establishment. Absolutely love this place! It's beautiful inside... And the owner Jeff (who's always on the bar) is super nice! Very extensive drink menu! They have very expensive liquors and wine for the connoisseurs (I'm taking $50+ a shot...). They have very good sake and lots of great mixed drinks. Lunch specials are super cheap! Wang's is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Haverhill. I enjoy their crab rangoon, boneless spare ribs and other Chinese food staples. They have great sushi that always tastes fresh. We live about a 5 minute walk to Wangs, and will occasionally order delivery when we don't feel like going out. The food has been mostly good over the years, but the last couple of times it was just okay. (We stopped eating in the restaurant after a couple of bad service experiences). Today marks the last dollar they will ever see from us. We ordered a pupu platter for one and an order of pad Thai for delivery. I was told 45 minutes, it was actually about 90. The food was cold, predictably, but also awful. The two chicken fingers included with the pupu platter, if placed end to end, would not be 3"'s total - these were more like baby nuggets. The boneless ribs were entirely burned and dry, nobody with an once of pride in their product would ever put that on a plate. Completely inedible shoe leather. The pad Thai was a congealed mash of stuck together noodles and some slightly odd tasting chicken, like it was cooked in fish or oil or something. Really the worst Chinese food delivery experience I can remember. I'm thankful I didn't order the sushi, given how careless they were with this order, I'd be fearful of getting sick. My husband and I frequent this place because the sushi is great and as of recently they have really stepped up on the quality of the food. When we first started going there I thought they had wonderful sushi and very average Chinese food, but last time we were there the main dishes were excellent and they even took the presentation to the next level with large portions and a fresh orchid on the plate. The only downfall I could see is that one of the waitresses is kind of short tempered and can come off a little rude, but the other waitress makes up for it with her sweet personality and prompt service. The sauces on the entrees are not the heavy sweet syrupy sauces found at most area Chinese restaurants. This is my first time ordering from here so I got the PuPu for 2 & a order of Scallion pancakes. In the pu pu the egg rolls really had a good taste and were not dry very moist , but greasy . The crab rangoon had just a cream cheese taste.( no crab or scallion flavor in it ). bland tasting.Steak Teriyaki was fantastic great flavor not dried out like other places I've ordered from.Chicken wings great taste & the fingers were greasy.Boneless ribs were thin & dried out.Now the Scallion pancakes were the worst of them all these looked like dark brown dry & over fried & greasy their dipping sauce was very good plus a great taste. Like I said my first time I'm hopping to order from here again to see if it improves next time. Make sure you have some napkins so you can pat the grease up off the foods that will need wipping. Wang's Table is by far the BEST Chinese/Japanese food you'll find around, so it'll come to no surprise that I'll usually recommend this place immediately. All the food seems as if it is cooked specially just for your order. I can't say that this happens every single time, but so far it has for me! The prices here are a little more then what you'd typically pay elsewhere, but I'm fine with that knowing that my food is going to be hot and fresh. Take out services need some improvement, as 99% of the time they usually warn you up front - that "it's going to be awhile". Quality is what seems to be important here. read more

We called to tell the person who took the order my son-in-law would be down for the fried rice one item our grandchildren like. The person on the phone then replied the chief said it was in there. We recommend Wangs Table to everyone. The sushi is great - fresh and they have interesting specials. The owners and wait staff seem eager to please and want to give prompt and curtious service. I read a review that seemed very unfair about the wait staff, who were depicted as impatient becasue they kept returning to the table before the customer was ready. It seems to me to be more of a cultural thing than rude. I noticed the same service in many Asian restaurants I have been to, so I am looking at it more from the positive perspective. I think the wait staff may be a little overzealeous because they believe their level of attention is a display of caring about their customers. I have eaten there dozens of times and never felt as though they were rude, actually quite the opposite. I patronized Wang's Table in its old location for quite a long time. While there wasn't much ambiance, the food was decent (the best to be found in the Haverhill area), parking was plentiful, and booths were always available. I've been to the new location twice and was disappointed both times. While there may be more "ambiance," it's not necessarily positive ambiance. The space is cold and not inviting. The tables are very close together. There are only two booths and last time I was there, one was taken up by the owner's kids and was not available for guests (bad move on a weekend night.) The parking is also tough. (There's a lot across the street, but it's been full both times.) Sad, but it's not worth going back to. read more

We have been to the new location four or five times now. We enjoy the cocktails and the sake. We have eaten appetizers also, which are good. The ambiance is very sleek. The sushi and sashimi is presented artfully, but we haven't tried it. They have an extensive scotch and sake selection. The staff and owner are friendly and helpful. Food is usually good here, albeit overpriced. Half the time the rice isn't cooked right though(still hard inside). Not happy about paying almost $10 for sweet n sour chicken to receive chicken fingers with sauce to pour over them. How lazy is that they can't even make the actual dish and then charge too much for it! Had been to Wang's Table once before for a birthday dinner and had enjoyed the sushi and drinks. Tonight, my husband and I ordered take-out delivered to our home. Once the food arrived, we opened the bag and discovered instead of the chicken and broccoli dish we had ordered, we had been given lomein. We called the restaurant, explained the mix-up, which they admitted had been a register input mistake on their end, and were told they could re-deliver the correct dish. Over an hour later, the correct dish was finally brought to us. The delivery worker then demanded the lomein be returned (seemed pretty gross to us, hope they don't re-use it for other orders.) On top of that, the dishes we had ordered were soggy with no flavor and the prices seemed ridiculously high. We will be avoiding them at all costs in the future. read more

When it comes to Chinese and Japanese cuisine this restaurants tops it all. The sushi is simply the best, probably because it is the freshest that I have tasted. It reminds me of when I lived in Okinawa and how they took the utmost care when preparing my food, only serving the best. But don't just try their sushi. I also have eaten their appetizers which are prepared fresh. Some restaurants have these items precooked and warmed under heat lamps. But at Wang's Table, they individually cook each order. What you get is simply the best that your money can buy. My family dines at Wang's Table once per week. It's worth every penny when you consider what the other restaurants serve. I was craving Thai food and since there is no Thai food around here, I decided to try Wang's Table since I had heard good things. They do make Pad Thai which was good if you don't actually expect it to taste like pad thai ( very sweet with no peanuts). The other dishes we got tasted fresh and were tasty. They just re-opened at a new location on Washington Street, and I went for the first time this weekend. I was pleasantly surprised at how good they were. I never went to the old location, but i saw the pictures, and the new place is much more modern and upscale looking, its very nice, very clean. Not huge though. Looks like its in an old bank space as the vault door is still there. We got the dumplings, mongolian beef and sweet and sour chicken. They were all really really good. I've lived in the Merrimack Valley area now for just over a year and this is by far the best place I've been too. Its not super pricey either. And the dishes come with rice (i'm finding more and more chinese restaurants are making you pay extra for a side of rice). The service was slow and looked a little hectic. I will chalk that up to the fact that this was their first weekend open at the new location (though i've noticed that a few other reviews ding them for service as well). I used to work in food service, and have known many people who worked longer than I did and continue to. Service is certainly important, but I think a few too many people out there who've never worked in the food service industry are a little too self important and expect every whim to be catered to and treated as if they are the only person in the restaurant. There are places that are like that, and I would expect it from a very high-end restaurant, where part of the price of the food is the incredible service. But if you can get me my food in a fairly timely manner, I'm wicked forgiving for little missteps or hiccups. I enjoy the food but the waitresses are always rude and unwelcoming. I went in for lunch last week and someone in my party accidentally spilled soy sauce on the table next to ours in passing. Where I work, when someone has an accident I assure them not to worry and quietly clean up so they can resume enjoying their meal. These waitresses proceeded to lay out towels over the mess and take turns jumping up and down on it, trying to soak it up? Very loudly and obnoxiously to say the least...like i said before right next to our table, so literally six inches away. Trying to make a point I guess? Well at that point we did not feel bad.
