MR. Wang misdiagnosed my son with PANCREATITIS for TWO years!!! Pancreatitis is caused by alcoholism and my son is handicapped and hardly ever even drinks ROOT BEER!! Hospitalized three times with death ill pain. Finally, during an appointment with my colonoscopy doctor at Ryan Ranch, I brought it up to her. She asked me what the ULTRASOUND showed. I told her there was never an ultrasound done. She was appalled and we set up an appointment with a doc at Ryan Ranch right away. Turns out he had GALL STONES!!! NINE OF THEM!!!! They could have killed him!!!!!! Just makes me sick. I filed a complaint with the California Medical Board to no avail. Until everyone starts filing nothing will be done. read more

Worst doctor ever, doesnt even deserve to be called a doctor! Me and my girlfriend both went in with multiple health concerns, we asked him atleast 4 different questions regarding our health & every time he just kept saying " its ok dont worry about it" or he would try and avoid our questions entirely. Doesnt want to listen to what you have to say. We felt rushed during our appointment with him, he was trying to leave the room before we were even done talking. Yes, he does have long wait times. However, that I don't mind. He started treating my father in law when we moved here in 2008. My father in law is 87 years old now. He had a heart attack prior to. He was in terrible shape, we had his license revoked, & moved him in with us. Dr. Wang has been caring for him since & his health has greatly improved. He first looked at all his medications, changed it up because some were unnecessary. That alone was huge. Now on to me... I was pregnant, got admitted to the ER due to a high fever not going down. Turned out I had sepsis, had to be hospitalized for 5 days. Dr. Wang checked up on me everyday & didn't give up. My fever hadn't gone done even w/ meds thru IV after several days. He knew what to do. Now here I am 6 yrs later, still my doctor. His staff is pleasant also. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Wang's for several years. Although I found him to be charming, he severely lacks in some very important areas. In 2010 he ordered an ultrasound and found my gallbladder bad. He also noticed that my spleen was enlarged and needed to be rechecked. He never did recheck it, Along with chronic elevated white blood cell count. I am now seeing a doctor who has seen me 3 times and has me going to a hematologist next week. Also while I was in the hospital waiting to have my gallbladder removed, I had a severe migraine and was vomiting. I asked the nurse for something to stop the vomiting. Dr Wang stuck his head in the room and said I was vomiting because of my gallbladder and no I couldn't have anything to help stop the vomiting. As if he were living in my body and could feel what I felt. Over the years, he refused to give me referrals to Doctors or hospitals that I wanted to go to and instead wanted me to see an orthopedic dr. When I told him I wanted to go to A prestigious medical school he asked me why I didn't want to see an orthopedic doctor. Didn't I want to have surgery? Umm after a failed neck surgery, no I don't want to have back surgery if it can be avoided. Threatened to put me on methadone if I wanted to push my fibromyalgia diagnosis. I had told him I had a bad reaction to methadone. He was very good about trying different pain meds which I appreciated. However he did not listen to me or hear me. I needed him to hear me and help me. I ended up switching to Dr. Friedman and that was even worse! Wang's policy of once your file leaves his office he will not see you again seems very petty to me. Perhaps Dr. Wang has an ego problem? Some of the staff is very friendly, however the old lady that works in his office is a total cold fish. They seem so heartless at times. This is my opinion of course. I would not recommend Dr Wang, if you have Fibro or auto immune diseases or anything that requires follow up. I think the problem today is conveyor belt medicine. The doctors have become like robots because they only allot 10 minutes per appointment and they cannot do their jobs properly in that amount of time. You can thank insurance companies and big pharma, and the doctors who bend over to these companies. I liked Dr. Wang as a person, however I found his "practicing" medicine to be quite poor. read more

Visits are great, however an oversight with the doctors office billing us for loaned equipment has escalated to a bill collector now. 8 months later and the office still has not reversed the fraudulent charges! Be weary of equipment use and extreme poor customer service. read more

The proof is on the walls of his practice that are adorned with TONS of thank you cards, letters & pictures from so many walks of life from the community! On TOP OF THAT, Dr. Wang has been voted Best Dr. and Doctor of The Year countless times!! I suffered a severe personal injury almost 2 years ago. Stricken with grief, depression, in a wheelchair & just completely BROKEN DOWN, My family flew Me home from New Orleans. They made the appt. to see him. He was comforting. Understanding. Empathetic. Trustworthy. I loved him IMMEDIATELY. I thought I would NEVER walk again. Do you think he just looked @ Me and prescribed antidepressants?! No indeed! He didn't do that at all. He was ENCOURAGING. COMPASSIONATE. KIND. EMPATHETIC. And EVERY SINGLE THING HE TOLD ME: HAPPENED. From WHEN I would be out of My wheelchair, to ability to walk, to ability to get My life back, ALL OF IT. I would just cry & croak: WHEN?! WHEN?! He never lied. He gave it to Me straight. He looked @ My medical records from being in a coma @ UMC NOLA & he's even been there for a conference plus tour! He knew about all My surgeries & did everything from removing staples from My brain, My broken femur, lacerated liver, broken ribs, fractured lung, too much to list and it hurt! He explained what the surgeons, respiratory therapists, and all doctors whom operated on Me & treated Me @ UMC DID NOT DO. He advised Me and educated Me on My long recovery process. He took the time for ME. He is ethical, moral and actually truly loves his patients!! He is ALWAYS SUPER BUSY & his staff is ALWAYS on schedule, kind, approachable, and extremely welcoming. And the same gals work there for YEARS now so what does THAT tell ya? Another thing: I SUFFER FROM SEVERE ALLERGIES AND INTENSE ANXIETY. Unlike all the other Dr.'s that only wanted My money for tests, he never did that. He offered suggestions. For ONCE, a Dr. didn't say: "You need allergy tests for $1,000.00 CASH ONLY." I have no insurance. I have no children therefore there are NO programs for Me. I lost EVERYTHING including My life when I got struck by that car. I break out into the hives more often than not & look like a monster & it escalated into life threatening. He gave Me My EpiPen & that has SAVED MY LIFE more times than I can count. I could NOT BREATHE NORMALLY for YEARS. He gave Me an allergy shot. I CAN NOW BREATHE like a normal person. I could have lost My life many times when My throat closes during a hive outbreak which leads to severe panic attack as well. Goodness! I truly could not see a silver lining inside this nightmare of mine. I finally got OUT of the wheelchair & I have suffered immensely from My tragedy regarding too many subjects & situations. I'm an actress and a writer and a professional dancer plus musician & because of Dr. Wang, I was able to be cast in many productions as of late because he gave Me MOTIVATION. He believed in Me. He SWORE I would get better. I honestly DID NOT BELIEVE HIM. He never lost faith in Me & we kept it simple, honest & consistent. WITHOUT DR. WANG, there's NO WAY I would have been cast in Hollywood for anything. Show business is TOUGH, but My dreams are coming true & I COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT DR. WANG. Some medics simply would NOT give Me a Benadryl on set when I feared an outbreak coming on during filming! Yup, sure enough... Here comes a MASSIVE HIVE OUTBREAK: But I got My EpiPen... Ha! Dr Wang is an extremely knowledgable and compassionate doc. He has been taking care of my moms health for 5+ years since she started having early signs of dementia- you do have to wait in the office for awhile but that is not unusual - if people want to ding his rating for that just know that it has nothing to do with the quality of care. This doctor is a JOKE went in for a health issue i been having. DID NOT CHECK ME looked uncomfortable having the conversation. Told me i was fine and to not worry when he did NOTHING to check me!!!! Ended up giving me a prescription that was for people struggling with opioid addiction when mind you I've NEVER done drugs. Read the label and said after finishing the medicine there was a high chance i would have opioid withdrawal symptoms!!!! Seriously considering making an official complaint to the medical board. Dr. Wang is totally friendly, thoughtful, & awesome. But his office secretary Alice is very rude. Last time I went in, she said I looked OLD since the last time I went there. That's classy. Then she proceeded to gossip about a patient who "shops at the Good Will when she really should be shopping at Nordstrom." I just found her to be unprofessional. Best Doc I've been to. He can tell what's up with a simple explanation and inspection. His staff is friendly and get you in and out quickly. He is also understanding of patients who can't get insurance and offers his care despite how much money is given. I drive to Hollister to Dr. Wang's because Salinas really screwed me and my medical history up. And Salinas doctors are more expensive and give you crappy care. Beware of this doctor, waiting times are outrageous and he has NO respect for the HIPPA act. He is very chatty regarding people's personal business. Talks horribly about every pharmacy except for ANSR and tried to get me to switch to ANSR several times. He even went so far as to tell me the pharmacist I have known for 15 years is an alcoholic. He doesn't care about getting to the root of your health issues just the $$$. read more
