    I shop at TJ Maxx all the time, and I specifically go out of my way to visit this location because…read moreit is one of the only Runway stores I have come across. I have found some great pieces here before, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I picked up a few items, including two expensive white pieces, only to realize they BOTH had visible stains on them. I brought them up politely and simply asked Scarlett P if they could be discounted, as this is something that has been done for me at multiple other TJ Maxx locations without any issue. Right from the moment she responded, her tone was rude, sharp, and unnecessarily argumentative. She immediately said, "I can't discount them, but I can put them as is and if the stains don't come out you can return them," in a way that felt dismissive and irritated, as if I was bothering her just by asking. That alone would have been fine if it was store policy, but the delivery was completely off putting. I still calmly asked if this location just does not allow discounts, because I was genuinely curious, not confrontational at all. From there, her attitude only escalated. She became even more aggressive, short, and dismissive, saying, "I'm just doing what I'm told. We don't do that here because it's already a discounted store," in a tone that felt belittling and confrontational. There was absolutely no reason for it. It was uncomfortable enough that even my partner, who was standing there, asked me afterward what her problem was. That is how obvious and unnecessary her behavior was. I want to be clear, if this particular TJ Maxx truly does not offer additional discounts on damaged items, that is completely fine. Policies are policies. But the way I was spoken to was unacceptable. It felt hostile and completely out of line for a simple customer interaction. To make matters worse, she said the items would be marked "as is" on the receipt, but she never actually did that. So now if the stains do not come out, I am stuck having to explain this entire situation just to attempt a return. I have shopped at TJ Maxx for years. Honestly, the majority of my wardrobe is from there, and I have NEVER been treated this way. I have always had positive experiences, which is why this stood out so much. This interaction was so uncomfortable and unnecessarily aggressive that it genuinely made me question whether I want to return to this location at all. No one should feel talked down to or borderline bullied for asking a simple, reasonable question. I want to be clear, this was not about what she said, it was entirely about how she said it. Her tone was so aggressive and confrontational that it honestly felt like she wanted to argue or escalate the situation. I was genuinely confused by the reaction, and to be honest, it made me uncomfortable to the point where I felt a bit intimidated. I also encourage anyone reading this to look at my profile. I rarely ever leave negative reviews, so the fact that I felt the need to write this should say a lot.

Unfortunately, the customer service was a major letdown. While trying on several pieces, the two girls working never once acknowledged me or paused their personal conversation to offer assistance. Another customer asked about an item, and the response she received was dismissive--just a vague suggestion to check another location 15 minutes away. When I checked out, I hoped for at least a friendly interaction, but was met with the same disinterest and lack of professionalism. As a fellow boutique owner, I can say with confidence that the people representing your brand can make or break the customer experience. The in-store energy felt unwelcoming, and it genuinely seemed like the team working that day didn't want to be there. If this were my business, I'd be seriously reevaluating who's on the sales floor. There's so much potential here--the product selection speaks for itself--but the service left me disappointed enough to question whether I'd return. I truly hope this feedback helps, because I'd love to see this boutique thrive with the right team in. Two stars instead of one for the selection and pricing.

I tried on a few things in the full price sections (which were pretty reasonable being around $60 each for a boutique), but unfortunately none of them fit right on my body type. They were out of a lot of size smalls, and had mediums and larges instead. Sometimes that works for me, becuase of the way women's sizes work lol. But, here, the mediums were a bit too loose on my body type (mostly in the chest area lol). If they had a size small in this super cute and fitting green slinky silk dress, I would have bought it, but the medium they had was wayyyyy too loose on me. I did end up getting a super cure barbie-core body suit for about $30 in the clearance section that I'm going to match with my black and white polka dot pants and a super cute black sort of crop top with flarey shoulders (also about $30) that will look awesome with my off white ballet skirt. Def worth a stop by if you're at this shopping center!

    My mom and I saw Hickory Farms in the Wando Crossing shopping center this afternoon and decided to…read morepop in. We were surprised and pleased to see this here, as, while we have had Hickory Farms products, like meats and cheeses, we had never been inside a physical store before. The store had plenty of gift boxes to suit every palate. The Hot & Spicy box has items such as spicy beef sausage, jalapeno cheddar cheese, spicy Sriracha mustard, and more. Then, there was a regular box with regular cheddar and non-spicy beef. There's an all beef and and all cheese box. There's small boxes for around the price of $20-something and huge gift boxes for $120. You could also mix and match your own combination of cheese and sausages. There were other products, too, such as mint candies, chocolates, assortment of tea, crackers, and lots and lots of unique condiments. This could make for great gifts for anybody on your shopping list, OR, pick up something for yourself to enjoy this holiday season. :) The woman working today was very welcoming and polite and answered all our questions. She also made me laugh because she just "got it" when my mother was saying funny things ("Aww, these little meats are so cute!") and we kept making eye contact and smiling, haha. She let us know they recently moved to this location from the Northwoods Mall and plan to be here, seasonally (I think she said Oct. - end of Dec.) for the next 3 years. Great stuff! Welcome to the area, Hickory Farms!
