Can't speak enough praises for this town center! They have a great variety of self care spots, restaurants, and businesses to appeal to all ages. I particularly enjoy during October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month the annual Pink Promenade Fashion Show which benefits cancer patients. 100% of proceeds are donated to the Roper St. Francis Foundation. All models strut their fine self and showcase some local boutiques at the Mount Pleasant Town Center. Nell's Florals came by and taught us how to make our own flower crowns as well! Also in October there's the SWEAT Fitness Series sponsored by Athleta. Every Wednesday there's a chance to attend free workout class in the grassy pavilion area. I've done Lowcountry Yoga and Rock Box Fitness classes. It can range from challenging to relaxing, just listen to your body! Another perk was after class: they would hand out a free goodie and offer coupons for Athleta! Much to see, do, and celebrate at the MPTC!

When Mount Pleasant Towne Centre was built over 20 years ago, I was in high school. Folks said no one would drive this far north for a mall. Today, Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is far from a "mall". Over the last ten years, Towne Centre has exploded, with a Hyatt Place and a parking garage onsite. The parking garage has electric car chargers, perfect for when you're in the movie theatre, shopping, or dining. It's a happening event spot with fundraisers for Charleston Animal Society, outdoor workout classes, and live music outside in the Spring and Summer. The retailers are all open-air, with large stores like Belk but also smaller boutiques like Lizard's Thicket and Palmetto Moon. The quality of restaurants has also improved- Savi Cucina, Cava, and Malika Pakistani restaurant are all here, and Jeni's Ice Cream opens later this year. This is the high-end shopping center in Mt. Pleasant, but most stores are reasonable for families too. Skip the Charleston-area malls and come here!

You don't always think about how great Towne Centre is as a whole until you visit other malls or shopping centers. Considering Mt P doesn't have a traditional shopping mall, this would be the closest thing to it. The great thing is that it's way better than all the malls in the area. Yes, your have to walk a little further between stores and it sucks if it's raining, but I usually only need to make a stop or two anyway. Plus, it's usually beautiful weather so the pros on that out weigh the cons. The stores are always relevant and updated instead of slowly failing and sitting empty for months. I wish they had a few more restaurants that weren't mega chains, but they fit the bill for being in a shopping plaza and I do have an undying love for Q'doba. I drive out of my way to go to their movie theater and the new parking deck makes it easier than ever to find a spot. Take a minute next time you're there to check out how well the grounds are kept and the display for Christmas is second to the festival of lights. Honestly, for an outdoor shopping mall, they do an amazing job.

This is a nice, outdoor shopping center. It is anchored by a recently renovated Belk. I often go there because they carry Lilly Pulitzer. Belk is also next to another preppy favorite, Palmetto Moon. This is a busy shopping center and I hope that draws more stores and restaurants to the area (Cheesecake Factory, I'm talking to you!).

While my juvenile heart still yearns for yesteryears malls, you know the ones with Merry Go Round,…read moreAlladins Castle, Orange Julious, etc I realize those are long gone with the ease and convivence of Amazon. Which begs the question, is it not therapeutic to leisurely walk around and enjoy the day, unencumbered by technology? Village Point in Mt Pleasant is an outdoor mall which capture more of a built into nature shopping experience while having the convivence of not having to enter into a large multifaceted facility to shop. Driving around the various shops is relatively easy with sensible road to storefront ratios. While there are a few out of service facilities and vacant buildings, the majority of the stores have owners. Moreover the variety of shops, restaurants, parking ect seem to be in perfect harmony in terms of placement. Finally there is something for everyone here, in the context of small box shopping, in other words no Walmart! Upscale dining to fast food, Belks and Buckle, a movie theatre and a high class jewelry store, they all fit snuggly together with warmth and care. I had some time to kill so I walked the whole premises and it was a pure joy. Fountains strategically placed along with park benches, round-abouts funnel cars in a proficient manner almost in a choreographed elegant dance along predetermined paths. Also the landscaping is all done with indigenous trees, shrubbery, etc designed to welcome tourist and keep the natives from becoming restlessness! All in all Village Point is a great place to leisurely shop and enjoy a day with something for everyone. It's conveniently located by the connector, 17 and Hungry Neck Blvd so access isn't an issue as well as lots of parking and a parking garage as well. I encourage anyone who has some shopping yet wants to enjoy being out to stop by and relax, that's what people in Charleston do best, move in low gear and enjoy yourself.

I visited Millie Lynn Boutique today and had mixed feelings about the experience. The clothing…read moreselection was undeniably cute and very affordable--definitely pieces I would have loved to support and add to my wardrobe. Unfortunately, the customer service was a major letdown. While trying on several pieces, the two girls working never once acknowledged me or paused their personal conversation to offer assistance. Another customer asked about an item, and the response she received was dismissive--just a vague suggestion to check another location 15 minutes away. When I checked out, I hoped for at least a friendly interaction, but was met with the same disinterest and lack of professionalism. As a fellow boutique owner, I can say with confidence that the people representing your brand can make or break the customer experience. The in-store energy felt unwelcoming, and it genuinely seemed like the team working that day didn't want to be there. If this were my business, I'd be seriously reevaluating who's on the sales floor. There's so much potential here--the product selection speaks for itself--but the service left me disappointed enough to question whether I'd return. I truly hope this feedback helps, because I'd love to see this boutique thrive with the right team in. Two stars instead of one for the selection and pricing.

I tried on a few things in the full price sections (which were pretty reasonable being around $60 each for a boutique), but unfortunately none of them fit right on my body type. They were out of a lot of size smalls, and had mediums and larges instead. Sometimes that works for me, becuase of the way women's sizes work lol. But, here, the mediums were a bit too loose on my body type (mostly in the chest area lol). If they had a size small in this super cute and fitting green slinky silk dress, I would have bought it, but the medium they had was wayyyyy too loose on me. I did end up getting a super cure barbie-core body suit for about $30 in the clearance section that I'm going to match with my black and white polka dot pants and a super cute black sort of crop top with flarey shoulders (also about $30) that will look awesome with my off white ballet skirt. Def worth a stop by if you're at this shopping center!
