My husband found Mitchell after she needed to renew her rental and we didn't want to deal with workers with no knowledge of the products they are selling. Mitchell is the best! Very knowledgeable about all string instruments. He gave her tips and a really beautiful violin and sturdy carrying case. If at anytime you need your rental instrument tuned or strings replaced you can drop in free of charge. We've also purchased a beautiful ukulele for our daughter from Mitchell. He helped my husband pick out the perfect one to fit her needs. We also purchased violin/ukulele lessons for her which she has really enjoyed and learned quite a bit. I'm a professional guitar player who was visiting Philadelphia from the west coast and decided to check out local music stores. The store was clean but beyond appearances this place was terrible. All the guitars I tried were dirty and out of tune; I told an employee that the truss rod needed to be adjusted on one and he didn't know what that was (a music store employee should know what that means). I couldn't hear myself try the guitar because the sole employee was signing and playing at the top of his lungs. I then asked him about how the teacher employment worked at their store and not only could he not answer, but he couldn't give me anyone's email or phone number to contact with questions. Very rude in general. Ive been in hundreds of music stores and this was among the worst

Levon has encouraged me to keep learning, and I'm quite glad he does so. For some people, they hop on YouTube to learn how to play a SONG; Levon teaches you to play the INSTRUMENT. Lessons are a combination of book work, theory, and a song of choice to help keep interest. I started about six months ago and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. My 11 year old has expressed interest too, and his first lesson is this Saturday! Can't wait to see how much enjoyment he gets out of it.
