Very helpful and friendly. Easy to get to. Took his time with me. Why do I need 85 characters to post a review?

This place is absolutely outstanding J.C. is tripping. If he had asked around he would have…read morerealized that Lou (who I presume is the owner) will actually price match most things in the store (at least has for me; I bought a Pedal Pro board here and he actually gave me a cheaper price that guitar center). I buy strings here all the time and stop at the shop at least once every couple of weeks. This place is guitar and boutique pedal heaven. Literally they have such an amazing selection of guitars, but be forewarned this is not guitar center-type low quality stuff. This gear here is all top of the line, and it is expensive, but then again it's the same price you'd pay anywhere else. I'm also pretty certain that you could negotiate expensive products here as long as you are reasonable. I just had my bass, and two guitars set-up here. It was actually pretty expensive (Bluebond I've heard is cheaper, but I can't attest to quality), and I was a bit set-back until I got there and was shown what was actually done to my guitars -- not only was intonation and so-forth perfect, but the minor electrical issues, bridge cracking, strap holder looseness etc., was fixed completely. It was the best set-up I've ever seen done on guitars and after having them back for a day and playing through them all... damn they sound completely amazing. This place is definitely going to be my go-to spot for getting my gear serviced and picking up boutique pedal gear. Also, the guy who I presume is the owner Lou is a wealth of knowledge on everything related to guitars and very willing to stay late to help you out and share his knowledge , which I've never gotten from any other guitar shop (hello wannabe rockstars working at Guitar Center I'm talking to you...). If you are looking for a high-end new guitar, amp, or boutique pedals go to this store and talk to Lou personally -- not only will you end up with something either cheaper or pretty close to price you will get anywhere else for the same product, but you have someone who really cares about guitars that will service/set-up/ensure your satisfied with your purchase. I'm so happy I found this place after recently moving to Roxborough this is literally the guitar shop I've always wanted to have around.

When you first walk in, it looks like a small average guitar shop, but if you look closer, you'll see it is anything but ordinary. They have pretty much ever pedal every made, nicely displayed in a huge set of cases. But the real magic happens when you venture upstairs. Never before in any guitar shop have I seen such a collection of amplifiers. Matchless, Buddha, Suhr, Engl, Marshall, Fender, Orange, Vox, Diveded by 13 and many many more. It was like I had died and gone to amp heaven. There were so many I was actually a little overwhelmed with where to start. Lou, the owner, and his associate were amazing. I spent about 2 hours playing about 5 amps with there help, then had him draw up a quote to order me a custom one. They were amazing. In addition to the unbelievable assortment of amps, they have dozens of high end guitars. Many boutique and custom shop one of a kind guitarswith exotic woods. They have a ton of a guitar called a Warrior, which is a brand I have never heard of until today, but they seem amazing. The inlay work was remarkable. I feel lucky to have discovered this gem and look forward to doing business with them. I will be back soon!

I had been on the lookout for my dream piano, a Steinway B, and thought it wasn't doable. Then a friend from NYC recommended I connect with Piotr in Philedelphia. I was very nervous about a piano purchase from Philly, as I am in Boston. I had to play it to see if I loved it, because it's a life investment. Piotr told me what was done to this Steinway A3. Pin block ten years old, strings 10 years, and the rest fully restored by him, using genuine Steinway parts. Well, I said what if I don't connect with it? Your gonna take it back? He said yes, so I agreed. He drove here, set it up, I played it for hours, and then said I loved it. He took my K Kawai in trade, and there you have it. He fully guaranteed it his work. Don't know what drives this person, but he is quality like I've NEVER seen. I could not recommend Piotr and Opus piano more. Go there! Only there! They are old world quality, and connection. It doesn't exist anymore, yet, I was lucky enough to find them. Now I have my last and final piano. My Steinway A3, not a B but just as good in my opinion... I have had the piano for about 2 and a half months, and it's amazing... He was right. I loved it. Thanks Piotr

I wanted to think about it for a day and figure out what I could afford, so we asked the owner if he would be open during the holiday weekend. He said yes, so the next day we called just to make sure. Apparently he was closed but said he was still in the store and we could come on by. He's probably glad we called because a few other people made purchases while we were there! :-P And of course I was glad, too! I purchased my first uke, and I am so happy with my purchase. I have no idea how to play it, but I got a free intro book with the purchase, as well as 20% off accessories. I got a gig bag and a tuner. The owner was really helpful and hooked me up with a nice deal on the instrument itself. I definitely want to return for some lessons. I just got a really good vibe from this place, like you can tell they aren't trying to rip you off or make you buy unnecessary items. That makes me feel confident I would get the most for my money by taking lessons there, too. We always see the female owner of the store at certain events and such, like festivals. Steve told me about their ukulele group, which seems so cute. I definitely am looking forward to learning how to play my new beautiful instrument and maybe even making some new friends along the way. The store also has also items, like instruction booklets, accessories, guitars, headphones and other sound stuff, etc.
