As a last ditch effort we signed up for Cherry Hill Mathnasium. So we scheduled an evaluation and made our way over the bridge from Philadelphia. It was only a short 20 minute drive and the free parking more than made up for it. I mean, I live in Center City Philadelphia which means driving around for at least 20 minutes to snag a metered spot. Still, my only thought was "Please let this be worth it". Once there we met Nathan, Brian and the whole crew. They explained the program in detail. The hours were flexible, rates were reasonable and everyone was nice enough. So, we gave it a shot and I enrolled my daughter in group classes. As it urned out she was more comfortable with private lessons. We were hesitant to switch over at first because we had already paid for a month of group classes. Nathan (without us even asking) was very kind to give a credit for our unused balance so that Talia could start her private lessons immediately (fun fact: their private lessons are VERY affordable). I was more than pleased with my decision. The instruction is top notch. I could tell my daughter was getting instruction from true professionals who love their jobs, have mastered their craft and who never lose sight of their passion - to awaken and maximize every child's inner math genius - . The Live Class is worth it if it works with your schedule. Emily was engaging, even after a long work day. She would always challenge us to go a step further than what the textbook course material was offering us, which not only helped us learn more material, but encouraged us to feel confident that we were really mastering the test-taking skills necessary to perform well on the GMAT. Once I learned how the GMAT was structured, I knew I was limited in what I could learn on my own. I was really grateful to have Emily and a classroom setting to break the material down. Now that the class has ended, Emily is willing to continue our relationship via email for any outstanding questions we have. I also appreciated all that comes with Manhattan Prep when you sign up for a Live Class. I'll start with the online resource center: all of the Live Class learning sessions have been prerecorded by other Manhattan Prep instructors, and you can go back and re-watch these at any point, to reinforce what you learned in class. I found this to be invaluable. You also receive access to plenty of online forums, blogs, and other opportunities to learn from other instructors and MBA candidates about their process for application, the Dos and Don'ts, etc. At first I thought the price tag for this course was high, but once I realized everything that came with it, I would recommend this to anyone.

I always did well in…read morehigh school and college so when I borrowed a friends GMAT books I thought I would have an easy time preparing. I was wrong...really, really wrong. Its been years since I graduated from college, and as a marketing major, even longer since I took a math class. My first practice test showed me that studying by myself and at my own pace was not going to cut it. After a lot of research and comparing different programs I choose Manhattan GMAT because I needed a class setting and an instructor who could coach me through the process. I took a class winter of 2012 with Abby Berry and it made a world of difference for me. Abby's experience and knowledge was unbelievably helpful. Not only did we cover general math and verbal, but also test tips and tricks, techniques to study correctly, and what I felt like was the "insiders scoop" about the test. What I liked most about Abby's teaching style was that she explained concepts in a really clear and visual way that was easy to understand and remember. The tips and tricks she taught us helped me focus on test day and finish all the questions on time. My final test score was 100 points higher than my first practice test and I have Manhattan GMAT and Abby to thank for that. I'm now a student at Temple Fox School of Business!

One of his biggest struggles has been with school-based anxiety, to the point of being unable to get into the school building. His local, award-winning, nationally recognized public school worked mightily but ultimately could not provide him with an environment in which he could learn. We cycled through a couple of other independent schools that work with anxious kids with various levels of success, but ultimately did not work out. I learned about Fusion via a newspaper article in November of 2017, while the NMT was inpatient for the second time to keep him safe. I spoke with their school director, hoping to be able to send him there at discharge. Alas, they would not be open until late spring. NMT enrolled elsewhere for spring semester, did OK but by the end of summer clearly needed something else. So we went off to Fusion, where they met so warmly with him and us. I admit, I was skeptical, a bit, as was the boy's therapist. Could they really handle this kid? Deep breath. The NMT cautiously agreed to enroll. The first days were ROUGH. Really rough. He doesn't transition well, and he was anxious and terrified and angry. I was waiting for the "I'm sorry, we can't help him" call. Except...they handled him, well, beautifully. Better than the award winning nationally recognized public school or the two independent schools who work with anxious teens. They just...got him. Gave him space but kept him engaged. Slowly, he started to trust, first one teacher, then others. He started to think it wasn't so awful. Then, that it was OK. Now, 10 months later, he voluntarily enrolled in summer programming so he could avoid re-entry stress and keep moving and because he loves his time there. Recently he was angry with me over something teenager-y. He shouted "You know what? I'M GOING TO SCHOOL AND I'M NOT COMING BACK." I had to turn my back to keep from showing him the little happy dance I did with my arms. This is a kid who hated school. The bright, above average testing boy who was anxious and angry and felt he was stupid and it was a waste of time. I can't say that they could teach any kid, or that every parent will have the experience that we have. There are a lot of factors that go into his success, one of which was him making different choices, his clinical team making some medication changes that helped him, and a measure of emotional maturity kicking in, or just being weary of being in trouble all the time. I can say that Fusion's team were a significant part of that though, meeting him where he was, building the relationship first, building trust, and yes, holding him to standards and teaching too. Yeah, they really get it, how to reach the anxious school refusing kid, and they are doing great work with him. I could not be more grateful.

I found Kiddie Kampus and have been so happy about that choice. From the moment they started attending, we were made to feel apart of their family. Now that they are both "too old" to attend, they want to go back. Personally I made some friends that I cherish. The director Janice Gillyard is the most loving and caring director I have ever met. The children were well prepared for school when they went to kindergarten and the extended care program helped them learn also. I highly recommend this center.

Covid definitely caused learning delays because most children need interaction to adequately learn new material. That interaction with the person teaching it is the best way. Huntington has a good way of evaluating the type of learner your child is, developing a program for them and presenting the material in a way that helps them strive. My kids are so proud of their progress. We found the price manageable and have worked it into our budget. The kids are happy to go to tutoring because they realize now what they are getting out of the time at the learning center. We cannot say enough good things about HLC on Silverside.
