The Live Class is worth it if it works with your schedule. Emily was engaging, even after a long work day. She would always challenge us to go a step further than what the textbook course material was offering us, which not only helped us learn more material, but encouraged us to feel confident that we were really mastering the test-taking skills necessary to perform well on the GMAT. Once I learned how the GMAT was structured, I knew I was limited in what I could learn on my own. I was really grateful to have Emily and a classroom setting to break the material down. Now that the class has ended, Emily is willing to continue our relationship via email for any outstanding questions we have. I also appreciated all that comes with Manhattan Prep when you sign up for a Live Class. I'll start with the online resource center: all of the Live Class learning sessions have been prerecorded by other Manhattan Prep instructors, and you can go back and re-watch these at any point, to reinforce what you learned in class. I found this to be invaluable. You also receive access to plenty of online forums, blogs, and other opportunities to learn from other instructors and MBA candidates about their process for application, the Dos and Don'ts, etc. At first I thought the price tag for this course was high, but once I realized everything that came with it, I would recommend this to anyone.

Its been years since I graduated from college, and as a marketing major, even longer since I took a math class. My first practice test showed me that studying by myself and at my own pace was not going to cut it. After a lot of research and comparing different programs I choose Manhattan GMAT because I needed a class setting and an instructor who could coach me through the process. I took a class winter of 2012 with Abby Berry and it made a world of difference for me. Abby's experience and knowledge was unbelievably helpful. Not only did we cover general math and verbal, but also test tips and tricks, techniques to study correctly, and what I felt like was the "insiders scoop" about the test. What I liked most about Abby's teaching style was that she explained concepts in a really clear and visual way that was easy to understand and remember. The tips and tricks she taught us helped me focus on test day and finish all the questions on time. My final test score was 100 points higher than my first practice test and I have Manhattan GMAT and Abby to thank for that. I'm now a student at Temple Fox School of Business!

Covid definitely caused learning delays because most children need interaction to adequately learn new material. That interaction with the person teaching it is the best way. Huntington has a good way of evaluating the type of learner your child is, developing a program for them and presenting the material in a way that helps them strive. My kids are so proud of their progress. We found the price manageable and have worked it into our budget. The kids are happy to go to tutoring because they realize now what they are getting out of the time at the learning center. We cannot say enough good things about HLC on Silverside. One of his biggest struggles has been with school-based anxiety, to the point of being unable to get into the school building. His local, award-winning, nationally recognized public school worked mightily but ultimately could not provide him with an environment in which he could learn. We cycled through a couple of other independent schools that work with anxious kids with various levels of success, but ultimately did not work out. I learned about Fusion via a newspaper article in November of 2017, while the NMT was inpatient for the second time to keep him safe. I spoke with their school director, hoping to be able to send him there at discharge. Alas, they would not be open until late spring. NMT enrolled elsewhere for spring semester, did OK but by the end of summer clearly needed something else. So we went off to Fusion, where they met so warmly with him and us. I admit, I was skeptical, a bit, as was the boy's therapist. Could they really handle this kid? Deep breath. The NMT cautiously agreed to enroll. The first days were ROUGH. Really rough. He doesn't transition well, and he was anxious and terrified and angry. I was waiting for the "I'm sorry, we can't help him" call. Except...they handled him, well, beautifully. Better than the award winning nationally recognized public school or the two independent schools who work with anxious teens. They just...got him. Gave him space but kept him engaged. Slowly, he started to trust, first one teacher, then others. He started to think it wasn't so awful. Then, that it was OK. Now, 10 months later, he voluntarily enrolled in summer programming so he could avoid re-entry stress and keep moving and because he loves his time there. Recently he was angry with me over something teenager-y. He shouted "You know what? I'M GOING TO SCHOOL AND I'M NOT COMING BACK." I had to turn my back to keep from showing him the little happy dance I did with my arms. This is a kid who hated school. The bright, above average testing boy who was anxious and angry and felt he was stupid and it was a waste of time. I can't say that they could teach any kid, or that every parent will have the experience that we have. There are a lot of factors that go into his success, one of which was him making different choices, his clinical team making some medication changes that helped him, and a measure of emotional maturity kicking in, or just being weary of being in trouble all the time. I can say that Fusion's team were a significant part of that though, meeting him where he was, building the relationship first, building trust, and yes, holding him to standards and teaching too. Yeah, they really get it, how to reach the anxious school refusing kid, and they are doing great work with him. I could not be more grateful.

I chose Blueprint to study for my second LSAT for a few reasons. I liked that they are a young upstart--I thought that they would take the time to personalize the class experience as much as possible, to compete with the rest of the test prep market. And that was true....I didn't feel like a customer, but instead like a student. The course was unique, positive, sometimes real fun. The LSAT can be so very dry and Blueprint has a great approach. Instead of logic game after logic game, I loved the times when we'd write our own. Like, when six of our classmates--L, D, S, P, T, and B--participated in the Beerlympics. L & D don't play flip cup together, there's three people playing quarters, I play wifflebeer (always, as in real life), etc. Those kinds of activities brought the LSAT down to earth. The course gets more difficult as it progresses, but maintains the humor. I know that their website has a bunch of interesting features but to be honest I rarely used it, other than for scoring my test and looking at question statistics. And studying the sucker answers (effffff those). I did not quite reach my target score, but that is nobody's fault but MY OWN. Blueprint gives you a ton of homework, and I completed only some assignments. I do feel that I successfully learned to read and understand the LSAT for the scheming whore that it is. But, to get the advertised "+11" you apparently must not overlook the homework. I stuck with my Blueprint instructor for help with my applications. He took the time to get to know me and my interests in more detail and helped me to cultivate great ideas for my essays. He was constantly available even for minor questions. I did supplement his counsel with my college prelaw advisor's, and I was glad to have multiple perspectives--on my resume, in particular. In the end, I had killer essays that I was happy to submit. In the real end, I was admitted to my #1 choice with a fat scholarship. Overall I had a great experience and would highly recommend Blueprint to anyone who's serious about the LSAT and law school.

I have absolutely no complaints, nor can I think of anything that could have made it a better experience. I went up by 14 points from my first cold take to one of my final takes with Blueprint, and they have plenty of data on their website (worth checking out if you have doubts) regarding average score increases. If you're shopping for a prep course, don't bother looking further.

I decided to get some extra help for my preschool-aged daughter alongside the services she was…read morealready receiving from the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU). We went to Empirical for occupational therapy to work on her handwriting and a few other areas she needed support with, like improving her fine motor skills and dealing with some sensory issues. The therapists were super kind, and they really understood how to work with young kids. My daughter actually enjoyed going to her sessions, which made such a difference. We saw great improvements in her handwriting and other areas as well. I'm really glad we chose them and would definitely recommend Empirical to other parents looking for extra support for their kids.

They did thorough evaluations and made a plan for his treatment that included occupational therapy, applied behavior analysis, and speech therapy. They also helped our grandson switch from elementary school to middle school by closely working with the school's IEP team to set goals that were just right for him. Because of their expertise our grandson has improved a lot in different areas. His communication skills are much better now, and he's learned a lot of important skills to handle everyday challenges on his own without acting out as he once did.

Class of '95 here…read more What can I say about this place? A decade plus removed from it, I don't keep in touch with many of the people, though not for their own fault or mine. I value the education I got here tremendously - from Mr Duffany's excruciating but valuable sentence diagram the the late Señor Laserna's Spanish, which lasts with me still. I loved rowing crew and Doc Kinney's art class/introspective therapy sessions, could have done without some of the cookie-cutter jackasses and senses of entitlement. But all in all it was a good school for the area, one I think of with mostly fond memories, and I wish only the best for this place.
