Bought a gong from them a few years ago, and they threw in a complimentary carrying bag and gong mallet ! This week I rec'd three complete multi size head sets, clearance Pearl Reference badged heads for an amazingly low price. Nicely packaged, order on Friday and showed up at my door the next business day...Monday ! Steve and the gang are a class act !! read more

Was able to find solid bass drum stands at a better price than anywhere else. Placed three different orders online - all were sent out quickly and arrived within a week each time. Will be buying more for the drum line here just for the service alone. Good to find a reliable supplier! read more

I purchased a beautiful Frame Drum here for the best price. I received the drum super fast. Highly recommend Steve Weiss Music.

Steve Weiss Music has the largest selection of percussion equipment and music of any kind and at the most reasonable prices you can find. There's no comparison. It's the only place I consider when it comes to all things percussion related. read more

In addition to great prices, the customer service at Steve Weiss Music is top-notch. I ordered a set of drums (already half the price that other competitors had listed), and one shell was damaged. The kind folks at SWM (and sincere commendations to Emily) replaced the entire set for me, instead of the single drum I had told them about. Highly recommended. SWM knows how to keep their customers coming back for future purchases. read more

I got a product from Steve Weiss percussion that turned out to be defective Gibraltar drum throne. The seat didn't even go with or fit on the base and when I complained on three different occasions to three different people they were all belligerent jerks who refused to send a different brand drum throne at the advertised price or honor the free shipping they advertised but that the replacement would be at the retail price and I would be charged for shipping. The jerks told me they were doing me a favor in accepting the return. I finally had to call my bank and dispute the charge when the refund didn't post to my account. Not a reputable business. read more

The absolute gold standard for percussion stores. Steve has passed on but his business goes on with dedicated and knowledgeable staff. Shipping is fast, prompt and great. They carry a comprehensive selection of products for any percussionist or drummer. I purchased a set of timpani from SWM years ago and they fought and won with the manufacturer when one of the drums was delivered out of round. My only regret is that I can't buy this company or start a similar one in Chicagoland. read more

Steve Weiss Music has an incredibly diverse catalog of valuables for percussionists. Whether it be instruments, mallets, sheet music, or any other miscellaneous object, Steve Weiss always has whatever you need. Very impressed with every order that I have placed. read more

Steve Weiss Music has been my go-to resource for percussion music, sticks, accessories, instruments, and recordings since college. Need something that you think NO ONE on this planet could find you? Give them a call. Immediately you'll get put on the phone with someone who you could swear has the entire catalog of (probably) 50,000 items memorized. Of course they move at a lightning pace, so make sure you know what you want before you call...you won't get coffee talk when you call Steve Weiss. You can also order online. Need it the next day? Just tell them you're in a rush, and they'll rush the order out to you for very reasonable shipping costs. That's far better than what their competition does. Steve Weiss makes life easier. read more

After getting my order messed up, big time by another large online retailer "MF" and two calls Later and 45 min. on the phone. I is still did not have a drum set, there system kept messing up my address. After getting IT to fix the problem with there system. They still would not send me a new set tell the old set made it back to them, and a refund had been issued. I even offered to pay for the second set but they said no. They would not honor the sale price from the first order tell they got it back. It has been weeks. So I'm done with those guys it has been a joke. Now to Steve Weiss Music what a great experience. Not only did I get much more for my money. Shipping was super fast they upgraded me to free three day shipping. I ordered late Tuesday night and had my drum set first thing Friday morning from across the whole country. The boxes and drum set came in 100% perfect condition and the boxes were double taped for the long hall. I would 100% recommend Steve Weiss for sure. Thanks Steve I will buy from you in the future for sure!!! read more

Steve Weiss has given me fantastic service all the way back to high school more than ten years ago. When I was in college I could call them for every percussion need and it was shipped right the next day. Most recently I ordered a djembe and got not only a great deal but great service along with an excellent product. If you are a student or professional this is the place to go. Their staff is educated and knows how to help you get what you need. As I continue my musical career their number will always be handy when I need equipment supplied and supported. Thank you for all the years I have been able to turn to you. read more

Steve Weiss Music - The djembe on the left was recently added to my drum collection thanks to Steve Weiss Music. Your team rocks!! Thank you!! - Musical Instruments & Teachers Near Me - Willow Grove, Pennsylvania

I've been buying my percussion instruments from Steve Weiss since this year in 2019. I must say they have excellent service and good pricing and seem to have the items I want in stock in their warehouse. I live closeby to their facility so I can go there and pickup my order with no shipping needed. I have been very pleased with their friendly helpful staff. Great quality percussion instruments at reasonable prices. I highly recommend Steve Weiss and can't see why anyone would go elsewhere. read more

Went into panic mode when items we needed for a performance were back ordered from another supplier. Called Steve Weiss Music and spoke to Jim who handled my order quickly and ensured that we'd get our order in time for next weeks' performance! Jim, you're awesome!!! Thank you Steve Weiss Music, you've made my day!!! read more

This place is a percussionists DREAM. As I live local, I place my orders online and then pick them up at their headquarters in Willow Grove to save on shipping. I've heard that you can take tours of their stock room but when I've been there I haven't seen much. Basically it seems to be an internet company...that rocks! read more

Hey Steve, I've known about your company for years but never had the need to order anything until earlier this week. I am very pleased with the level of service I received and wanted to make it public. I live in California, and I placed an order for several items (Danmar mounted castanets, Abel triangle, and a few other small items) on Tuesday morning, Nov 19. Optimally, I want them for a rehearsal this coming Saturday, Nov 23, but assumed they wouldn't arrive in time so not a huge deal. Figured I'd have them by the rehearsal the following Saturday, which was good enough. On a whim, I decided to inquire in the "notes" of my order about USPS Priority Shipping, figuring it doesn't hurt to ask and that maybe I could get the items in time. Within a few moments of placing my order, one of your customer service reps named Earl emailed to let me know he saw my note, and was happy to ship my items USPS Priority per my request for an additional $6 charge to my credit card. He couldn't guarantee it since SWM is not the USPS, but said it was highly likely I'd receive my items before Saturday. I said OK. Long story short, my items are already out for delivery, less than 48 hours later. I will definitely have them in time for my rehearsal, which makes me super happy. More importantly, I never expected to have such personalized customer service from an online retailer, and was so pleasantly surprised by Earl's friendly, helpful communication, I wanted you to hear about it on Yelp. I also wrote Earl back to thank him personally. I have ordered from another large online percussion retailer in the past, and haven't exactly had a positive experience with them. You'll get my business from now on. Thank you!!! read more

I have ordered percussion music, instruments, mallets and sticks from Steve Weiss countless times in my career as a band director since 1996. I have never experienced anything but quick delivery, top quality and excellent service. Steve Weiss Music is a staple in the percussion world. My latest purchase was as a parent-a Pearl Drum set for my son. Again shipped quickly and packed so well for shipping. Great deal from a fantastic company. Love these guys! read more

This really is as good as it gets. Ive always has wonderful experiences through Steve Weiss. This last time however I had my package arrive 2 days early. The box was destroyed and the only thing I was missing was a pair of mallets, everything else was in perfect condition. I sent the info along with pictures explaining what had happened. I received immediate reaponse that was kind, and trusting. They quickly got me my mallets shipped and they arrived within 3 days. The destroyed box and missing mallets weren't their fault but they took care of me. In really impressed and will continue to shop here! read more

blatant incompentence and disrespectfull service. never again 1. i recently placed an order and gave an updated adress and creditcard.the order was sent to an old address, secondly a book that you showed on your site as in stock was not sent due to salesperson negligence.i called later and had to make a second ord incurring additional shipping expenses.this was also shipped to the wrong address .3. when i spoke to your staff a female rep( i think emily) was rude and condensending when i rightfully told her this was costing me time money and i was going to miss a recital due to the delay.she promised to refund all shipping and to overnight the books she lied! the books were not overnighted so i will not recieve the matrial in time now my grade in a class is lowered due to your negligence! a note to management your tem is incompetent is basic funtions and not once was there an apology along with rudeness and lies from the female rep. you have lost my busness due to bad service and incompetent representitves. read more

Phenomenal customer service and received my items the next day! Their selection is great and they have hard-to-find items that may sell less but are still desirable for many people. Will be ordering from them again many times in the future for all my percussion needs. read more

Couldn't be more thrilled with how quickly they shipped our music books! They arrived in pristine condition, well packed, and 8 days earlier than I expected - wow! Above and beyond, Steve Weiss. Thank you. read more

Super fast responsiveness and shipping - easy to use website. My company has used Steve Weiss music twice recentlyto buy "dinner chimes," that old fashioned little xylophone that they use in concert halls to let you know the show is starting - we use them at conferences to call people back to the meeting from a break, (and you would be amazed at the Pavlovian response the sound elicits!) This item is difficult to find and even more difficult to get at a reasonable price - but Steve Weiss had the highest quality item at the very best price. read more

I called Steve Weiss Music to ask about a certain Vic Firth Snare Stick.I talked to a gentleman by the name of Jim .Jim was very helpful and i plan on doing business with Jim and Steve Weiss Music read more

Ordered sheet music from them. Package arrived quickly. Opened package and all there was is the cover for the music but no music. Called them up first thing Monday morning and expressed to them I needed the music by Thursday for a music assessment performance. The sales person assured me it would be there by Wednesday. I once again expressed the urgency of having it on time. Wednesday I called again (after the mail had been delivered to my house), and inquired about my package. All they had to say about it was "sorry". THANKS FOR NOTHING!! Cause that's what I got. Nice quality control. read more

I ordered equipment from them recently. They had the items in stock, but took nearly a week to ship them. So, they were fine taking my money, but they waited days to put my stuff in the mail? Not cool. read more

Reply to Steve W. The returned mallets looked the same as they did when we received them originally. I asked a room full of other percussionists if they looked "worn out". They all concurred that they looked new. Several commented they had trouble with your company as well, and even gave me the name of a percussion company with better customer service and a brick & mortar store in the area. read more

I am currently performing in a community theater musical of "1776". I needed a set of orchestra bells ASAP, so placed an order Sunday night (needing to receive them by Thursday). The bells I ordered on-line were out of stock, so Steve Weiss Music called me the next day and upgraded me to a nicer set of bells for the exact same price! I actually received the order a day earlier than needed (Wednesday) at no additional shipping cost! This company is great, with outstanding service! I would definitely not hesitate to order anything I needed from them in the future! read more

Outstanding to work with and helpful. They were able to fix MY mistake and still shipped everything lightening fast! Helpful, Resourceful and Efficient is the way I would describe the folks that work here and the organization in General. Buy with confidence, I do! read more

I ordered a new vibraphone which was defective. Bill Bussone at Steve Weiss Music was incredible in dealing with me and the manufacturer. Steve Weiss Music EXCEEDED the customer service standards and rules that are listed on their website (which are already terrific) in getting the problem fixed (in other words they did a lot MORE than they had to). Their prices are the best. I plan to buy a drumset and some other big ticket items from them in the future. If you are unsure what vendor to use, check around regarding prices. That alone should steer you to Steve Weiss. Thanks folks for a great experience. read more

Wow, is there so much good stuff to say about this company! I've had a few purchases with them, and every time I have received stellar shipping times and great packaging. My most recent order, the Marimba One Wave Wrap series, was on a BOGO sale, which in itself is a fantastic deal, especially since these are some of the most expensive marimba mallets on the market. So I got a set of four, and after I played with them for a while, I realized that all the qualities I liked about them were very similar to the those that I liked about another set that I already own. I decided that I would rather have a different set of mallets, from another series. Don't get me wrong, they're fantastic mallets; I just decided the small differences weren't worth $86.95. So I went to find my packaging for the order, and I realized I had thrown away the bags that each pair came in. The return policy states that if the item is not returned with all items that originally came in the packaging, the company is not required to give the full refund. Of course, this is totally understandable, as it is a loss on the company's part for a mistake made by a customer. After emailing the company, I was able to come to an agreement with them on it, and they have agreed to give me the full refund, even though they don't have extra bag inserts, which I happened to throw away. With all this being said, I will definitely be ordering here again in the future! Thanks for a great experience! read more
