I have been seeing Lilly for around 5 months for cubital tunnel (ulnar nerve entrapment) initially followed by rotator cuff issues and I wanted to write this review to really highlight the level of care she puts into her patients. Lilly is not just your standard physical therapist. I never once felt like she only wanted to give a short term fix. She takes the time to invest in your situation which makes every session feels unique. I have been into powerlifting/bodybuilding for 6 years and would be considered by most to be an "advanced lifter", however, I was surprised by how much I was able to learn from Lilly during our sessions. From squat stance to grip angle, we were able to pinpoint what worked best for me and work through my injuries without taking any time off from the gym. After all, everybody is different and subtle differences over time can cause injuries especially at higher weights. From our sessions I was able to identify my own lack of external rotation, muscle imbalances, and much more. Lilly is a wealth of knowledge and although I will miss her warm company, I now know exactly who to call if an accident happens in the future. Aging sucks! Hahaha! Thank God for Lily and her staff! I got frozen shoulder, aka 40 year old shoulder, two years before turning 40! Lily was there to loosen up the muscles/ligaments and gave me my full range of motion back! Just when I thought I was all better, I fell down a couple steps and twisted my ankle really bad! I waited over a month before telling Lily what happened thinking it would heal on its own. Guess what? Aging also slows down healing time! Who knew! Lily and Vincent helped bring down the swelling and strengthened my ankle. I'm grateful to them for giving me back the ability to play basketball with my kid again! I came here for physical therapy after a rotator cuff tear and Lily has been great in helping me get back to my normal workout routines. I gained a lot of range of motion in my arm and shoulder. I suffered a pilon fracture on my left ankle. It was a significant break. I originally went to a different PT office and I felt very little to no improvement. I decided to give Walnut PT a chance in hopes to improve my quality of life and walking. It was a night and day difference and honestly a huge sigh of relief. I've had nagging issues with my foot for a number of years now. I've avoided getting physical therapy because my podiatrist said the only thing that would help me are some custom orthotics, I've seen other PT's and I felt like they weren't much help, and I thought maybe I was just born with a bad wheel. I feel warm every time when I walked in the facility. The place is clean and safe to stay for an hour. Lilly is awesome! I was having major pain in my forearms and wrists due to my work as an esthetician. I thought I had developed carpal tunnel. But Lilly assured me it wasn't and taught me stretches to help the muscle and help the pain. As well as exercises to continue on in strengthening other muscles. Called Lilly on Friday morning to see if I could get some work done. She was able to get me in the same day which was awesome. I got a one hr session and had some work done in my shoulders, upper back, and quads. Let me just say after years of beating up my body, this was much needed. After the session I felt like a completely new person. I immediately could feel the difference especially in my shoulders as I regained full range of motion. Lilly also should be a couple of stretches to help lengthen the muscles. I came to see Lilly because I had sprained my ankle while running. It was very swollen and painful when I first saw her. She explained to me what ligaments I sprained and was very thorough in her assessment. We worked a lot on balance and did exercises to strengthen the muscles surrounding the ankle joint. The game ready ice machine and electrical stimulation machine that she put me on at the end of each session felt awesome. I am now pain free and running again. read more

Im very thankful! I can't say enough about my experience at Walnut PT and Performance. I have tried numerous doctors in the past and nothing seemed to help. A lot of doctors I have seen would just tell me to rest and wait until it felt better. I play a lot of basketball and my knees have been bothering me lately. I became fed up with being extremely sore the next day, having to wear knee braces, and taking ibuprofen whenever I played. Dr.Lilly did a great job in educating me about why I was experiencing so much pain in my knees and what I needed to do to get them feeling better. She taught me how to tape my knees with kt tape which helped significantly. I found Lilly on here through Yelp after tearing my left lateral meniscus while doing heavy squats and decided to take the non surgical conservative route. After reading all her positive reviews I decided to give her a try since she's experienced well in sports PT. I ended up getting the 12 sessions package because I knew I needed a lot of work to get back to lifting the way I have been. She got me back to squatting to parallel with minimal pain already by 7-8 sessions which I thought would take many more months for me to accomplish. This is my first time attending physical therapy and I am having a great experience. I came to see Lilly for knee pain. I was diagnosed with Patellofemoral Syndrome which has limited my ability to run, hike, and climb stairs. I didn't know what to expect with PT and was nervous attending. On my first visit Lilly provided me with a lot of reassurance and education about my injury and was confident that I would be able to return to being active again. I developed arthritis in my neck and it was very painful. I couldn't turn my neck without having to turn my whole body. I checked out three other physical therapy places before reading the excellent reviews of Dr. Lilly Koh at Walnut Physical Therapy. She had 15 excellent reviews on Yelp and they were all five stars! Lilly has many years of experience and is very knowledgeable about the human body. Also Lilly has a cheerful personality. At the beginning she gives me a neck massage and then I do the exercises that I'm supposed to do and honestly I am so much better. Lilly has an aide Jackie who is very conscientious about making sure I do the exercises correctly. She's also very nice. They even play background music, jazz, classic rock, Drake, whatever you like while you are doing the exercises. Even though I have arthritis, with their help I can turn my neck left or right without any pain. I had to do about 8-10 weeks of physical therapy a few months after getting shoulder surgery to repair my rotator cuff. The first session with Lilly, I worked on range of motion. I was a bit worried about my range of motion as she extended my arm out over my head, but I would let her know your limitations as you heal. As weeks of physical therapy progress describe the improvements in your range of motion and strength during rehabilitation to help her gauge the exercises and number of repetitions you could be doing. I understand weeks of treatment starts to add up, but stay committed even after soreness has gone away. I would take her recommendation on physical therapy as you follow through with what your surgeon recommends. read more

I have been to other physical therapy centers and have never encountered such a knowledgeable and helpful team. Lily and Vincent are excellent Physical Therapists as well as their assistants, Brian and Jackie who are very pleasant and helpful. All of them are super nice and patient to answer my questions and concerns. I hurt my leg and could hardly walk last year. I had pain and not much strength on my right leg. I started with Lily last October. Due to her change of shift, I was switched under the care of Vincent. Since coming here for a few sessions, the pain has nearly gone and i had gain back much strength on my right leg with them performing some deep soft tissue massage on my lower back each time and introducing various strengthening exercises. During my last session, Vincent even provided me with a tailored program so I can continue to work at home to keep strengthening my back and leg muscles. In December 2018 I had a Total Knee Replacement, and needed to find a Physical Therapist. Prior to this Physical Therapy I had never known Lilly. I am a registered nurse. I knew I needed someone who would work me hard, and also listen to my limitations. Lilly is that person. She knows her stuff, and gets results. I've been to other Physical Therapists who saw you for 5 minutes, the techs took over and left you on your own, that will not happen with Lilly. Lilly takes your optimal recovery in Physical Therapy personally. She is monitoring your Physical Therapy the entire visit, counting your reps and devising ways to allow you to get your to your optimal capacity. She also ensures that you are doing the exercises correctly, as well as staying with you to avoid injury.
