First, I can't begin to express how much I despise Walmart in general. Their multi-billionaire CEO has no consideration for his employees, who are underpaid and apparently not even given enough information to do their jobs properly. Today I, along with every other shopper, is being stopped upon exiting the store by an employee and told to hand over our receipts for inspection. Yes, sir! Nice to buy a lot of cheap crap and then be treated like a criminal as you leave. Needless to say, when I asked why my receipt was being demanded, the employee had no clue. Just follow orders, says the CEO! The employees are told to circle in yellow the number of items sold. They don't count how many you have in your bag, to make sure the numbers correspond. Obviously the employees dislike this little task as much as the customers. Thanks, Walmart, for your crappy company, for not treating your employees well, and for treating your customers like thieves. Over the past year, I've gone to Walmart less and less. Impossible to find someone to help you if you have a question and regardless of what you see in the commercials, I have never been greeted with a smile or a hello in one of these places. A great American, Henry Ford, was once critisized by his competition for paying his employees so well. His response was "I want my employees to be able to afford the products they are building. I disagree with my good buddy Dan. This is the best Walmart in the North Bay. It's in a brand new shopping center and it's new! It's one of the cleanest Walmarts in the North Bay, and the clientele is not the usual ghetto-ey types you see at all the other Walmarts. I didn't even hear a screaming child when I went into it! We were looking for a Wii. There are no Wii's available at Best Buy, Target (any), etc. in the North Bay. There's a shortage of Wiis!! We found a Wii there (we phoned first) and luckily we got there in time as they were selling them left and right as we arrived. Courteous people and the Asian guy who works in that department was really helpful as well. The five stars are comparing it to all the other Walmarts in the North Bay, which are horrible. This is for Telephone service. I called three separate times consecutively and was placed on infinite hold while somebody went to ask a manager if they carried Revolution flea treatment for dogs. Each time I put on my headset and waited patiently for 15 minutes on silent hold - this is abysmal service. It was degrading and I will actively avoid this walmart in the future. read more

You either love Walmart or hate Walmart. However, there is one thing you have to remember. If you want to save money in these tough economic times, you have to do whatever it takes. This includes shopping at this store. There new slogan is Save money. Live Better. Let me tell you something. There is nothing better than saving money in my book. That way, I can live better by using what I save to do other things that I really want to do. I can't say that they always have everything I want, because in all honesty, they don't. But they come pretty close to having everything. I really like the fact that they are trying. They don't always attract the best of consumers either. However, I've learned to shop at times when others are not likely to be there. It's funny how more and more people are starting to follow suit. I try to avoid the mid-to-late Saturday morning frenzy. First thing when they open is much better. When given the choice to shop at K-Mart, Target or Walmart, I'll pick Walmart first. Target is an alternative, but since they are on the other side of town, I don't get there too often. K-Mart is not even an option. I appreciate the staff too. They work sometimes long and weird hours; especially during the holiday season. I make it a point to tell them "Thank you". I made the gal at the checkstand smile at me. Why did I feel compelled to do a review on Wally-World... Well for starters they recently just re organized the store and added veges/meat and a frozen food section. What does this mean in the grand scheme, well a way to say goodbye to the local union ran grocery stores with outrageous prices! I typically avoid Wally-World due to huge crowds, shopping card bumper cars, and hideous customer service, but now that they added the larger selection of food, its hard to say no to it. After a few times you get a sense of where everything is and you can run in find rollback and other good deals and get out. 3 stars due to long lines, people blocking aisle ways and not caring to move what so ever and long waits to check out. At least now I can consolidate shopping to Wally-World for kitchen goods (Meat, Vege's, etc) and TJ's for snack related food. read more

If you want tires and get them installed....go elsewhere! I got a great deal on the tires but the service absolutely was horrible. After driving from Santa Rosa to Windsor three times they finally got it right. The first time they didn't have all my tires and didn't tell me. Second time I made an appointment online and the office didn't communicate the information to the store. The third time I waited as I watchef a group of five people just hanging out talking with each other while my car stood by itself with nobody working on it for 15 to 20 minutes. Only reason I'm writing a review is for the experience that my mother went through with Jasmine Ingerson. She went to Walmart to pick up a few things for me. One including a socket set, while being on self check out she told the lady if she can price match the socket set. What she said was "We don't price match online, that's what the manager said." When clearly online they state they price match. The cashier that was working the self check out was either lazy or didn't care for customer satisfaction. If the correct information can be taught to the employees the establishment would be better. Hope you can address this with your employee or employees if she's really blaming the manager for the incorrect information. read more

Had a strange small child grab my hand, with a far-out look on his face. Dodged multiple bad drivers of carts & the wife is texting me where I thought the Dove Purely Pampering body wash might be. Yeah...fun times. This is Wally-World & they have prices that are un-beatable. Let's get on the same page, the same store layouts would be helpful...minor constructive criticism. Pampers here are $8.67 for a 32 pack, thank you, can't beat it. Hence, we'll be coming back here. I have heard many thins about their business practices that are unfavorable and I even worked at one for a night.....(long story). As a business, I know in my mind they are bad. As a consumer, it's REALLY hard to deny such good deals - especially as a teacher in the pricey Bay Area. This trip I got some school supplies - since I'm paying, the cheaper the better! I'm writing this on behalf of my friend who has no computer access. She has been evacuated twice due to the terrible fires. The manager at Walmart, although only having 7 employees on Monday, opened up and let the people in the parking lot use the restrooms, get fresh water and coffee, fed them and gave them a safe place to shelter. Had a great experience at the Windsor Walmart last weekend. My buddies and I were on our way to a camping/canoeing trip in Booneville and needed a quite place to settle for the night after a long drive. We pulled our RV and campover camper into the Walmart parking lot and camped for the evening. The place was clean and quiet and allowed us to party until 3am without disruption or hassle. The next morning we woke up to the sound of shoppers grabbing their goods for the weekend. We went inside, purchased some ice, breakfast, beer and Tylenol so we could continue on to our destination. My mom was in the customer service area trying to get the difference on an item.The customer service worker told my mom that she needed to return and rebuy the item and the item was in the car. So she called my dad that had the item with him that they were going to return it to come inside the customer service area. When he gave it to my mom my dad went in Walmart empty handed when a worker named Amy told him if he would want to go back to Mexico after accusing him of stealing as he was walking in. She said I can send you back to Mexico for stealing while my dad had nothing in his hands or pockets. Then proceeded to say racist comments to him. This is not how anyone should be treated at All when they go anywhere. I then talked to a worker that helped me talk to the manager and he told me that she's been saying racist comments to only Mexican and black people since she started working there. He also has told me that their has been multiple complaints about her about the same situation. He also told me that she has took multiple customer service classes because of the complaints. I am increasingly frustrated by poor store management. Frequent stock-outs on weekends should have been solved a long time ago. Today I had to wait in a long line at Register 7 to buy a single coin-cell battery because batteries are locked away with the tobacco products. A week ago I had to search for an associate to unlock the razor display...so I could buy a cheap 5/$1 WalMart pack of razors. Maybe the store has a shoplifting problem from the homeless people living in the parking lot, so they make it inconvenient for everybody instead of solving the problem. Store - Walmart , 6650 Hembree Ln, Windsor, CA 95492 Experience - Very Very Poor Customer Service . Reason - Insulting and derogatory manner of customer interaction by employee / manager URSULA . Description - Our interaction with the employee Ursula , was extremely PAINFUL and totally out of expectation for a store of this reputation . We returned to the store after spending over 300 USD in the last 2 weeks at the store . We came to return our two air mattresses that we had bought at the store less than 2 weeks ago , per the return policy it was within 15 days . Once we opened the air mattresses , one of them for the baby , was leaking air so we packed it and went to return to the store . They would not accept the return and URSULA was called to speak with us . She was so insulting and derogatory in her interaction that we were left baffled , and at loss of words . Me and my wife patiently explained that the item was defective and we wouldn't return it unless we had opened the box and inflated it to see if it was a good fit . She started using defensive body language and words and at one point asked me and my wife and our sleeping baby to leave the store as we explained that we were unhappy with the product Walmart had sold us . For the second bigger air mattress , once we inflated , we found the height of the mattress was to low and we wanted to get some thing that would be higher to support our backs . Again we were unhappy with the product as it was not per our satisfaction and we are in our right to return the product . URSULA at this point started raising her voice and asked us to pick up the boxes and leave or call the company that made the air mattress as it was "not her problem" . She couldn't care less to help the customer and absolutely unaware of the basic decency of human conversation . Her personality is totally unfit to be in the business of service delivery which requires and human interaction , and I am shocked that Walmart in such a nice community would choose employee's in a leadership role with such callousness. We both are professionals and have not come across such a callous derogatory and nasty worker EVER !! The store is well kept , but if the employee satisfaction is ignored , the maintenance of the store becomes questionable . read more

They apparently discontinued the loose fit camo cargo pants which I have been buying for more than a decade, in favor of either fleece lined or straight leg. Not thrilled. Stopped by today to get some arts and crafts for tomorrow. Unless you are into crayons, glitter or popsicle sticks I found the shelves nearly bare. Went to stationary to get composition notebooks, but since none are priced (shelf prices only) the shelves are a mess, I could not tell what notebook cost what, a new system needs to be implemented ASAP. I scheduled appointment to get tires on my Subaru after being on the phone for 30 minutes with the technician verifying the year, make, model of my car and was quoted $62.75 a tire. I went and dropped off my car for this service and I got a text saying work was started on my vehicle, then 10 minutes later I get a text saying the shop needs me to call as there is a situation. I called and was told that the mechanic cannot put these tires on my car due to the Speed Rating. When asked what do I do now the mechanic said they can order a different tire. This different tire COST $105 a tire. Not only was my time wasted and I was inconvenienced, I am now being asked to pay $42.75 a tire more. Not only am I very frustrated about this situation, I got no apology or any way for Walmart to make it right. I budgeted a certain amount and now am expected to pay a much higher price. Horrible customer service! We have been treated like a piece of crap the last couple of times my fiancee and I have been in there. First, we spent over $200 and after coming straight out of the check out line with everything in bags, we were stopped at the door for our receipt ( which I know they always do) but she continued to look in all of our bags, moving everything around and touching all of our veggies and other food items. The last time we were in there, we just picked up some random items we needed and happened to grab a 30 pack of Coors Light, when asked for both of our ID's, my fiancee's ID is starting to SLIGHTLY peel so therefor she wouldn't sell us the beer. The ID still scanned and could be read perfectly. She was very, very rude and tried making a fool out of us in the line, when we asked why she wouldn't sell it to us.
