Just to inform you, I am quite a challenging individual; I expect everything to be punctual and organized. Firstly, I have a strong aversion to Amazon and prefer shopping at local stores. However, today I decided to try something different by ordering online from Walmart, in West Lebanon NH. It indicated that my order would be delivered today, the same day I placed it, but I did not pay much attention to that detail. I assumed I would receive it sometime during the week. While I was relaxing in bed, I heard a car pull into my driveway. Since I was alone and not expecting anyone, I got up and went to the front door. I saw a white SUV, and the driver asked, 'Walmart?' I replied affirmatively, and he then indicated, 'It's over there.' As a linguist, I am familiar with various accents, and I could tell he was Hispanic. I even called out, 'Muchas gracias.' How fortunate are we? My goodness, this poor man is working on a Saturday night to deliver items that are of little significance to us. I hope this serves as a reminder, as it has for me, that we are incredibly fortunate to be relaxing in bed on a Saturday night while others toil to make our lives more convenient. Therefore, I extend my gratitude to Walmart and urge you to take care of your employees; without them, you would be nothing. And to those reading this: please show kindness to everyone, especially to those who work diligently to deliver the items we order. read more

This store is a mess. Rude team members constantly complaining about their work load or mentioning how many more hours they have to be there, making customers move out of the way so they can drag their pallets into the isles, and not showing any interest in help customers. Having four team members stand around watching everyone, while the SC is backed up to the greeting cards is ridiculous. I once visited the store looking for a cable of which there were apparently eight of in the store. They weren't where they were supposed to be and the female electronics LEAD said "Oh, I don't what to tell ya." refused to help me look for them or even check if they were in stock. Today I didn't appreciate being yelled at by the blue-haired goblin running the self-check out either. I simply asked if the service desk was open as I had a return and got blasted with a loud, condescending answer. The customers in front of me also felt the same way. Sorry the company YOU CHOSE to work for is under-staffing and overworking you. That is NOT the customers fault. Without us you don't have a job. read more

I was shopping in women's apparel when I heard one of the employees (Erica she had purple hair also) screaming at 2 younger girls they may have been 17-19 at most. There's never anyone there to assist you when you need them and if they do help you they are so incredibly rude that I've stopped shopping there. The place is a mess!! read more

Clean store but you wait 20 minutes to cash out on a regular basis.need more self check out registers hands down!

No registers are ever open. I'm not sure they hire cashiers as I have never seen one working. There's 27 registers...that are never open. The line for self checkout goes down the entire store. You will wait on average 25 min to cash out even for 1 item making this store completely useless. The only have 4 self check out registers which they funnel through an opening that a wheelchair can barely get through. The online policy clearly states that they honor there online price in store. They will refuse to honor their prices at the register. Buying things online and picking them up shouldn't cost less. The online price should be their in store price. This is one of the largest scale scams that iv'e seen. They bait you into the price online then mark it up in store and refuse to honor their own policies that got you into the store. Another vendor had the product we were looking for at the right price. I'm not sure how wal-mart is still in business. Maybe its the tax exempt status they get from the towns....One of the most morally corrupt and un-ethical businesses that I've ever dealt with. They lost this direct sale with add-ons and all future business of my companies. read more

I think I wasn't the only one who was unaware that this wasn't a super Walmart. No fresh veggies, no meat section, no deli or fresh bread. Very limited freezer section. Just be aware. I think there is a Super Walmart fairly near by. read more

Useless. Tried to buy 4 gift cards, charged for all 4, however one was automatically rejected and refunded, two activated, one charged but not activated. Apparently their policy is two gift cards per customer per day. This policy clearly isn't posted and clearly they don't train their cashiers this either. The team leader took me over to the returns area to see if they could refund the $54 for the gift card. He advised that a refund could not be issued and that the card was not activated. I advised that because their employee violated their own proxy that I have to eat the $54. He just avoided contact and basically said yes. I pointed out how ridiculous this was. He said I could call the card company and try to get a refund. Absolutely blown away at this customer service. If your store violates its own policy and screws up the transaction, that is not my fault, you should probably just refund that money in some type of transaction. read more

Idk why I continue to shop at Walmart in west leb. The tyrant at self checkout continues to harass me. From leaving her post to watch me at the sports cards to walking over to study my basket. There could be 3 other people cashing out but she'll watch me like hawk. I'm done with it. You give us no choice, hardly is there a cashier that will ring us up so we have to use that crap! I've never stolen from you people idk why I'm treated like it! I basically work for you cashing myself out almost everytime I shop for free!!! When will I receive payment for the work I do.? If I spent $3,000 in your store every week,would that not make you happy? Not at this Walmart. You get attitude, rolling of the eyes, less than professional service and comments muttered under their breath to other associates. When I suggested Kristen (a so called manager) did not give me attitude, she asked if I wanted to leave the store. REALLY?? I will go to Barre or Rutland going forward or if I have to be in Lebanon, we will start giving KMart our business for gift cards. I bought a new tv here and when I got it home I found the screen was cracked. I drove right back to the store and got a new one with no question or problems. I even got a service plan, just in case this time. Good customer service. read more

Filthy - Gross - I go to many Walmarts and this one is beyond the pale. I went to get an I Pod Nano and was told that they were not made anymore. This is after I checked on-line and observed that the item was in stock at that store. I went over to Best Buy and had it in five minutes. Walmart should be ashamed of this store. Really? You've never heard the NH has no sales tax... Hm... Ok, well, this Wal-mart is typical, remodeled, and fairly clean. They have a Dunkin Donuts inside which is nice. It's pretty unremarkable for the new breed of Wal-mart but I got everything I needed there. read more

I would give a no stare but cannot. Drove an hour to buy a phone. Found the phone wanted only to be told they cannot sell phones due to the person that can sell phones hasn't been contracted in over 6 months. Waste of time. At least have a sign saying that. read more

I have been to hundreds of different Walmarts across the country and this is by far the worst managed Walmart I have ever seen. Poor inventory, horrific layout and just a terrible Walmart. The only reason they do halfway decent is the lack of options in this area. read more

No one goes to Walmart for the excellent customer service or to see excellent examples of model parents, but a recent Walmart experience made me wish we had a Target instead. During a recent shopping experience where we had no choice but to buy a product at Walmart rather than another local vendor (due to being out of stock at non-Walmart), I found myself seriously disliking some of the people who worked there. We were helped by a "customer service" person who told us she would get our product and bring it up front to the register. After waiting in the front area of the store by the register per her request for an inordinate amount of time, I went to follow-up with her. When I went back to check with her, she informed me they put the product back because we weren't waiting at the cash register in her section. But you told us to wait in the front. Fortunately, a manager gave us clearance to have the product purchased in front rather than in the woman's section. As I left the woman's section, another rude "customer service" person goes to the woman, "how many times did you have to get permission to get the product purchased in front?" So rude! That doesn't even cover the interactions we had with check-out people and managers who didn't know anything about their warranties, but would still give us information. Of course, it goes without saying that a staff member would be on her cellphone on a personal call and said to the person on the phone, "oh, it's not important, it's just a customer" while holding up her finger to say just a second to the customers and other staff who needed an answer from her. Yes, Walmart is cheap, but I've been to much better Walmarts. Maybe KMart will get my business next time. read more

This place is TINY. They have very limited selection and the store layout is confusing. I was on a wild goose chase for razor blades. The employees have zero knowledge of their merchandise, and when I inquired about other local stores, they seemed like they lived in outer space, not Lebanon. Did you know that the great state of New Hampshire has no sales tax? Seriously!! So, I dropped some dough at this Wal-Mart before I headed home back to sunny so-cali. For the location, I must say this is a big Wal-Mart. But I do agree, a lot of the shelves were empty. The best part about this Wal-Mart is the dunks inside. Coffee and shopping, a great combo. I'd hate to see this store on a weekend though,I bet it's total chaos. read more

It is just GROSS! We went to pick up extra items for son's our dorm room. I had never been in a Walmart and was appalled by the lack of organization, cheap metal shelving empty of merchandise, dark warehouse appearance and cheap merchandise (we couldn't find an extra set of sheets that were 100% cotton!). We left within 15 minutes and headed up the street over to BigK which was so much better - organized, clean better lighting and merchandise that was priced well and still had some quality! Do not waste your time going to Walmart... head straight to BigK! read more

Update: This Walmart is now officially the worst Walmart I've ever seen. And I've been to a lot of Walmarts! Filthy, disgusting place. Constantly out of stock of basic items. Seems like half the shelves are empty. Merchandise is damaged and dirty, even pharmacy items. Shoppers and employees are depressingly down-and-out. Recently I've seen family and other groups just sitting on the filthy floor, eating, resting, apparently because they have nowhere else to go. Maybe Walmart allows this out of hope that they'll buy some cheap snack items? IMO it's unconscionable to subject customers - actually any human beings - to this. At least give them chairs to sit on. I don't even trust this store for basic items like paper towels and toilet paper anymore, and am now paying more to buy them elsewhere. Gah. Horrible. read more

Probably one of the grossest and shadiest walmarts I've ever been to. Avoid at all costs

This place is a beacon of hope in the barren tundra that is Lebanon! Maybe that's a little dramatic, but try living in Lebanon without making a Walmart run. Although it doesn't have all of the amenities of a normal Walmart (tire and lube, optical center, photo center, full grocery center etc.) it does have all of the necessities that the grocery stores don't carry. My only complaints are that this store doesn't have a tire and lube and a full grocery center. read more

This is a terrible Walmart, as Walmarts go. It has a limited selection of merchandise, and why shop at Walmart at all if not for the fact that it's a one-stop shop? I have searched there for pharmacy stuff, food, housewares, office supplies, and hardware, and have consistently not found what I was looking for. Also, the music they play is loud and unpleasant, and the overall atmosphere is depressing, even compared to other Walmarts, which are not exactly happymaking places. Try the local Kmart instead. read more

This Walmart should limit the amount of store goods that people can check out at the RX counter. Some people are so rude as to buy a lot & make poor elderly people wait in line to get their prescriptions! What's wrong w/ people? But then again, it is Walmart that does not put a stop to it! read more
