Listen, I'm a single dude sans kids of my own, so while I might not have the best idea of what new…read moremoms and babies need, I have a pretty good idea of what they don't need. They don't need cheap plastic crap lined with dust and lint, the sort of thing I found in the baby section of a shop in an adjacent mall. Yuck. I wouldn't give a street mongrel those things to play with, let alone give that dirty junk to a precious precious baby googoo gaga. Then--just days before New Years when I'd been told that the Upper Valley has no store dedicated exclusively to baby things--what to my wondering eyes should appear, but Country Kids Clothing and all things sincere! There are beautiful picture books and classy bibs, pacifiers and chew toys (I'm a dog person, no apologies), swaddling clothes, carry-all bags, and more. You'll find an array of items to suit any baby's general needs, from pricey to economical, trendy commercial to local organic (the natural wood teething rings were my fave, one more solid use of Vermont maple!). The stuff here's cute as shit, cuter than your little shit, probably! You can't go wrong, it seems. There's a second room, too, for older babies. Elder babies? Toddlers? For when they're at 43 months, or 72...whatever. There are two people on staff, though I only spoke with one. Don't have a clue about baby development, timelines, seasonal needs, wind velocity, gravitational pull, etc., like me? No problem! I was both applauded for my courage in shopping for a baby shower gift, and then gently educated on how to improve on the selections I had made before asking for help. The result: A+ in the gift-giving department. Go to CKC for all your creature's creature comforts.

This shopping mall is designed to appear like a 'western' town. A covered, wooden boardwalk spans…read morethe length of the main building with a few antique items for sale on display there. We actually came in the grab a sandwich or something for lunch but there was nothing available. We asked but during our visit, the bar was closed where you can get some snack items. Looks like ice cream is there too, which was also closed. The llama's out back are cute. If you have some change you can buy them some feed. One of the stores sells Llama wool items which are very warm and cozy. I recommend getting some socks if you have cold feet in the winter months. I purchased some for a relative. The other stores sell jewelry, clothing, cheese and antiques. You can access one store from another inside the building. Public restrooms are available between the antique store and the cheese shop. A very large, dirt parking lot in front includes handicap spaces by one of the entrances.

Cute little strip mall. All the stores are connected which is really nice. We had someone following us pretty much the whole time. I did t notice this happening with anyone else. I even asked one employee why they were following us. He claimed he wasn't.

I was going to write a five star until we got to the cash register…read more We came over here to purchase and donate toys for a nonprofit organization that sponsors needy and homeless families who would otherwise not have a Christmas. We went through the toy section and were pleasantly surprised at seeing Leggos on sale with a table on which several unicorn Lego toys were placed next to a 30% off placard. We got several among other toys. Got to the register and the cashier rang one at full price. Upon our challenge, he started "apparently it depends on the unicorn". Take out or leave it. To put items on a table marked 30% off and then ring the item at full price is horrible ethics. Sadly, we have been assiduous Kohls customers, especially during holiday season.

Don't shop at kohls, they consistently advertise special in store that are deceptive at best. But…read morethe real kicker is their just finished labor day sale. Spend $25.00 and get $10.00 off. So I got suckered in, spent $170.00 My wife also went separately and spent $140. Plus. Unfortunately as with most transactions at kohls, there was an item marked as a sale price for $27.95, normal is $39..99 Rang up at the $39.99 and the $10.00 we were suppose to get was split across everything purchases. So when we returned the sweater that was miss charged @ $39.99 minus $2.63 (part of ten dollar for spending $25.) they only credit the $37.36 So even though I had still spent over a $100.00 even after the return, my $10.00 turned into $7.27 When I brought this up to both the store manager and corporate customer service. Both had the same answer, that:s our company policy. So the company policy is use false advertising to their advantage to screw customers. So between my wife and I we spent about $350.00 which I returned today. I have no further interest in ever shopping at kohls again.
