I was seen the beginning of March for an eye exam and was grateful for the 2 pairs of glasses for $111. I also included a pair of prescription sunglasses as well! From the moment I walked in I was greeted with kindness and love, then I was seen by the manager, Cindi, who was super kind in my initial exam, the doctor was super sweet, and then Melissa! Melissa did a STELLAR job helping me select, deselect, and select again the best glasses I had from you know...the 10 plus pairs I liked lol. She was patient, and thorough...knew her stuff! I called America's Best and obviously gave them a rave review! My glasses arrived the day before shutdown due to the COVID19 virus. Unfortunately, two of the same exact pairs were in the bag. No big deal I knew that they would take care of this up reopening. So yesterday I called in, their first day back (04/03/20) and talked with Cindi- Super awesome by the way. I can't even express her generosity...not only did she reorder, but she also included anti-glare on the lens for free along with another VERY VERY generous act. I was legit in tears...she was so catering and loving- I was beside myself. We NEED more people in our world like this! Better yet, she even expressed how she wanted to pay it forward, to help during this time of unknowns and worries. America's Best, you truly have two AMAZING employees here at the Loucks Road location. He knew the products available and assisted with picking out frames and lenses. However, we've had the misfortune of twice encountering another male sales person. Both times he seemed to be short with us and didn't have a clue how to process refunds. He refunded my wife's glasses onto the wrong card which caused me to lose several hundred dollars in FSA monies from last year.

She only wanted contacts to cover both near and distance. The doctor told her that was not possible. After looking into it that was absolutely wrong!!! There are many different options to use different contacts that will allow you to correct for both. She just got one contact prescription for NEAR ONLY and then told to purchase glasses for distance. Now I have to go back and get all of that reversed and have a more qualified eye doctor help her find the right combination for what she originally asked for. Very Disappointed!!!

Needed new…read moreglasses and my prior place was out due to the issues we had before with their inability to make decent glasses. I was going on two years of bad glasses and needed a change quickly. Picked up my new glasses a couple of weeks later and they were completely unusable. Cut wrong in every aspect. Blurry close up, distance, no peripheral, transitions were off (progressive lenses). Due to travel it was a few weeks before I could get back in to pick up new ones. They were bad as well but better. Took them home to trial and had issues driving, working, reading my computer screen. Could not read with them at all. Took them on a long road trip and tried to make them work. Nope. Absolutely not happening. I finally made it to another eye doctor. Without telling them the ongoing saga with York Eye, he tested them and said they were cut completely wrong in many different aspects. Nothing was right. Ready for this??? He tested my old glasses that were made in 2020. The ones I was stuck wearing because York Eye could not do it right. Guess what??? The script for my new ones with him were about the same as the original 2020 glasses. No where close to the crap coming from York Eye. Picked up my new glasses the other day and they are awesome. Spot on the first time. Needless to say, never going back to York Eye. What a total waste of over a year and well over $600.

I called another eye doctor who was closer to home who told me that although I was 5 minutes away their doctor wasn't willing to wait for me to come over and I should go to urgent care Thankfully, I ended up getting ahold of Ed at myeyedr. He told me to come right in. Dr. Guilford saw me ASAP. He was able to remove a piece of plaster lodged in my eyelid, which fortunately only did minor damage to my eye. Thank you again.
