Although the Eye Associates' Tech insisted that NO Insurance ever covers the Refraction exam, my Insurance confirmed that it is COVERED under my plan and there is NO co-pay. Eye Associates charged me $25 co-pay and wanted me to pay additional $50 for the Refraction exam. It is getting more and more difficult to find a truthful business.

No problems. I'm quite impressed with the whole office, Drs. and their knowledge and equipment. I have severe dry eyes for years. So, this was my experience: I arrived at the office approx. 10 min. early. So, I approached the counter, and just as I was getting my paperwork together, the secretary said: 'NAME!' A few seconds later she yelled it out again, and I told her: "I HEARD YOU!! GIMME A CHANCE TO ANSWER HON, RELAX." (because sheh wasn't being patient with me. Give people a chance to respond, before ya keep repeating yaself.) So, after I handed her my new patient forms, she pulleduup on her computer, my insurance info, and she said: 'It looks like we do not accept your insurance. You said you have Health Wellness...?' So, I said: "Yep! And Health Partners Medicare." Her response was: 'Unfortunately, it looks like we do not accept your insurance here, unless you wanna just be seen as (pay as you go(?) I can't remember the terminology, but she was alluding to my being treated, if I wanted to be seen there as a new patient, without coverage.) So, I told her: 'Nah, nah-no. I have another Dr.'s appt. anyway, I'll just go to that one. It's fine." Now... I was plenty polite, and I left. So... I remembered after I left, that they had never called me in the month prior to my appt., that they didn't accept my insurance. And I was under the impression that it was accepted, when I made my appt., here." She said: 'It looks like somebody may have tried to reach you, but it was too little too late...' Because of chronic eye issues I've seen several of the providers, and had many procedures and testing done. I finally just committed my care to one provider; Dr Pierre K. Palandjian. While I've seen other doctors that I liked he is my favorite. He's sensitive, listens to my concerns, and really seems honest in his feedback and recommendations. When another doctor in the practice was pushing for me to have Lasik surgery, Dr P disagreed and told me several reasons why he didn't feel it was a good fit for me. His words echoed the advice of my original doctor from another practice long since retired, who told me the same thing years ago. I feel like I can trust him and that's important. I also like this location more than the one on Lititz Pike. There's diversity in the ages of the patients in the waiting area where Lititz Pike seems to cater to an elderly crowd. The Lititz Pike waiting area because of clients with hearing loss is so noisy, everyone is talking loud and the tv is loud. I hate going in there. The wait is always long and they never run even remotely on schedule. This location is more relaxed, quiet, and seems to run on time. I honestly wasn't that impressed when I was first transferred to this practice after my other doctor retired but because of Dr P and his gentle care, and the discovery of this location, they're growing on me.

My dad recently had surgery preformed by this practice. He's been a long time patient and…read moreattending his surgery and post op appt were the only experiences I personally have had with them. I personally think his doctor is a little dry. There really isn't a greeting or small talk conversation, he comes in the room and dives right in. My father likes this approach. For me personally a "hello, how are you doing" at the very minimal is expected. However the doctor did address all of concerns and when my dad expressed his difficulty in administering his own drops the doctor showed him techniques that might be helpful. My father however is often dissatisfied with the office staff and how his calls are handled (or not handled). I know he bounces around his topics when communicating and it is difficult to follow along so that might be the issue. From my only experience being witness to this the staff was cordial, but didn't go beyond that to try to make sense of what he was trying to relay. According to my father when he had medication refill issues he was bounced around their office and had to get resolution from the pharmacy. He was also directed by them when he had questions on his aftercare to call the surgery center although it was a doctor at this practice that would have the answers. The office space is clean and set up nicely with complimentary coffee and tea. It's located in an office complex on Oregon Pike which in recent years has really been built up. Due to traffic allow extra time to get to your appt as his ran right on time. So while the experience wasn't horrible I do feel the staff needs additional training on how to better deal with elderly patients, especially at their most vulnerable.

Dr. Krulewski put a cataract lens in my left eye. It turns out my cornea was swollen and actually…read moreneeded a cornea transplant as well. The doctor in my opinion should have known there was something wrong with my cornea. I think I should have been referred to a cornea specialist before he put the cataract lens in. Because he put the lens in before my cornea transplant the vision in my left eye will never be what it could have been. I highly recommend a second opinion before you have surgery from him. Thankfully my new eye doctor/surgeon saved my sight.
