Instead, I received an experience that was both alarming and unacceptable. After picking up the car, the check engine light was suddenly on--something that was never an issue before I dropped it off. When I questioned the staff, they casually claimed there were new "problems" with the car and tried to push unnecessary and expensive repairs that made no sense given the condition it was in prior to service. It became clear this was not a coincidence but rather a case of intentional tampering or carelessness. My car's safety was compromised, and this could have endangered me and my family. We had to take the car elsewhere for a second opinion, and as expected, we were told there was nothing wrong and that repairs were not needed at all. This level of dishonesty, lack of accountability, and disregard for customer safety is completely unacceptable. I will never return to this location or recommend Canadian Tire to anyone looking for reliable vehicle service. This experience eroded all trust. Very bad experience at the automotive centre here. The manager has no customer service skills. My…read morevehicle went in to fix the parking brake, the job needed to have some 'exploratory' work done first... Fine, however the job was still to fix the parking brake, instead I received a long list of items that they wanted to fix based off of their exploratory work. I was out of province at the time and i guess they figured they would be able to confuse my wife with the list. She was quite adamant about needing only the parking brake done. When I talked to them before the work started I also was clear about what we wanted, and also made it clear that I needed an estimate. The day passed and the next call I got from them was to say that they had completed the work. Completely unacceptable considering I hadn't received any estimate and did not give any permission to do anything, my wife did not receive an estimate or any information either. We ended up getting a complete brake replacement on the rear and a bunch of lights put in. The lights were almost $65 each for a $4 dollar bulb that my wife replaces on her own... Wanted to replace one today and it turns out that they put Loctite on the bolts to hold the housing in. Infuriating, just trying to get us to come back? We also ended up with a complete but unnecessary brake job on the rear, (the parking brake still doesn't work very well) the whole bill came to over $1200. When we tried to discuss the bill and hopefully recover some of the money we were being ripped off for the automotive manager basically called us liars. But when he produced the actual receipt and estimate there was no parking brake on there at all. He then reprinted the bill still with no parking brake on it... He said it must have been an error. He was quite generously offering us a $50 discount to go ahead and fix the parking brake, which was going to be an additional $1300. What a deal. Clearly a subpar performance. The worst part of it all is the incredibly arrogant attitude that he took with my wife and myself. I had to participate over the phone, he was frustrated by the truth and slammed my wife's phone on the counter. He not only lied to us, he also lied to his manager. I currently have a warranty at this location for brake parts and I am curious to see the reaction when I bring them in for replacement. I will be doing the work myself however. I will never recommend this automotive centre to anyone, in fact I will actively discourage it. Especially while Noel is the manager. Nobody needs to deal with the arrogance or the lies or the shady upselling.

Tillicum is different from the Bay Centre as its up in rural/suburban Saanich which makes it unique…read morein my opinion. It has nice moderately priced stores such as Winners, Home Outfitters and Old Navy. It has a Montana's restaurant, library and ice rink as well as a Cineplex. It's a great mall if your looking for essentials at an affordable price. It's also a nice and quiet mall that usually isn't busy. It also has good parking if your to spend the day shopping and the 11 bus makes it very easy for you to reach this mall from any part of Victoria or Oak Bay.

I like Tillicum because they have a London Drugs, Lowe's, Starbucks, Winners, Old Navy, Home Outfitters, Dollar Store, banks and cellphone shops etc etc. It's a useful mall when you need the essentials and that's why I rate it at a a solid 4. There is also a Cineplex across the parking lot as well as a library and ice rink. It truly has everything in this one area and I think people take it for granted. Yes, more restaurants and leased space would be ideal as some spaces in the mall are empty and there really is only an A&W and Edo Japan. Great mall if you're looking for the essentials but would love to get some more stores in there that would correspond with the current ones.

The prices here are great as they are at all Costco's and we enjoyed several of the things that we purchased here while visiting, including a wonderful leg of lamb we roasted and some delicious chicken thighs, plus my favorite Costco grass fed beef sticks. This is a delightful shopping center, certainly worth a membership.

One sales associate who gets the official title of Canadian Karen, was having a bad day. She did not want to help my friend and she was rude. She claimed she could not pull the dress off the mannequin because it was "too heavy" and it cost $20k so she didn't want to break the mannequin(?). Anyway, I was disappointed because I could tell where the root of her actions stemmed. I met my first Karen in person. I had to speak with her. I let her know she is the first person in Victoria that was rude. I said I realize that you are about to be unemployed, but that is no reason to be rude.

hello fellow reviewers! today i had a horrendous experience…read morewhile shopping here. when i was trying to leave the store through the door where my vehicle was parked, the lady said we needed to leave but refused to u lock the door for us. had to walk to the complete other side of the store just to be told once again to leave immediately when that's what i was trying to do. once i arrived outside at the other side of the mall, the same lady then proceeded to open the door for two other people who were parked where i was after i got declined to do so. lady was very rude and bias. not happy with who they've been hiring recently.

This location is located as an anchor in the Bay Centre City Mall in downtown Victoria. It is two levels, with a large men's department downstairs. The set-up is very similar to Marshalls, with name brand discounted clothing and clearance items scattered throughout. With the 28% discount in the currency rates, I was able to find a good deal on men's socks. Something to definitely consider if you are running out of sundries and don't want to (or can't) do laundry on a long trip visiting this beautiful city. One observation: the checkout line is the same set-up as Marshalls, where there is one winding queue, and you are called to the next open register once you are at the front. And the automated voice that calls you, is the exact same one as the one used at Marshalls and TJMaxx.
