Christopher phoned me at 9am to say he was on his way. He worked on the ignition for a couple of hours. Apparently Honda has ignitions that are not designed well. He repaired my car and put everything back together again. Of course I checked the key in both the ignition and the door. All was perfect. I'm a happy motorist again. Counter person had the worst personality you can imagine and should be in the back and not waiting on customers. Tried to sell me a lock I did not want and told me my lock was old and no longer available. He clearly wanted me gone so he did not have any possible work to do. I went to another locksmith and they had several of the same locks in stock and told me they were still being made and were popular. They rekeyed my lock in 15 minutes and the price was more than $20 cheaper than the quote from Prices on the lock I did not want. Stay clear of these guys and shop around. There are plenty of locksmiths out there who are honest and cheaper. Prices is living on their past reputation which is no longer valid.

The Universe has a perverse sense of humor and our problems started. I had a "vanity" key pattern I really liked. I found something close. Got it cut at Lowes. It worked in the new side door lock but not the front door. Then we discovered that one of the keys that came with the new lock also didn't work in the front door. I ordered a keyblank like the one I prefer. We tried a (different) locksmith in Everett. He cut the key, it didn't work, he declared the blank "junk" and said "throw it away. He cut me an aluminum key; half of the teeth were missing. We also had a lot of communication problems. We tried another Everett locksmith who claimed they had a blank like I wanted in stock. They didn't. I was frustrated. Today we tried Everett Lock and Safe. They: recut and filed the two almost-working keys to work in the front door AND cut me two working keys with the blanks I like. Extra points for no communication issues. If we need a locksmith or to have another key cut, this is where we will go! 10 stars!

The store has some actual safes on display and sale. Walking into the you cant help but be impressed by the wall of keys they have. I had to have a fob and key duplicated it was a tricky match from what a few other shops told me but they matter of fact ordered the right part, cut it and duplicated it. I was a bit unsure going in but when they finished duplicating I was sure everything worked even before I tested it. These folks are real professionals!

We talked about where we traveled and our favorite bourbon while he worked. Would definitely hire him again for any and all locksmith-related jobs. I also really liked the fair price. I paid $75 for Allstar, and over $200 for another locksmith when I got locked out of my car near Southcenter. Don't waste your time, just call Allstar and you'll be happy with the results.

They did not provide a quote over the phone. A man arrived (an independent contractor) and took apart my lock. He was courteous and professional, however, he charged me $467 for 20 minutes of labor and no hardware. This itself merits 3/5 stars. But it gets much worse... The next morning I arrive at my store to open and the keys don't work. I called Fast LS demanding someone get ahold of me and fix the problem. They promise to call me back. Hours go by and no one calls. Meanwhile, I call another locksmith--All Star Lock and Key--and they arrive within 45 minutes ON A SUNDAY. All Star fixed Fast LS' mistakes (of which there were many) and rekeyed my space for $120 (nearly 1/4 of Fast LS price). Additionally All Star is coming back tomorrow to install locks that are more secure. Such a breath of fresh air. Thanks!

From my initial appointment, to Tony calling in the morning to confirm the appointment, and then working around my schedule so I could coordinate being home as I had errands to run that day. He called me 1/2 hour before he was going to show up and the timing worked perfectly. He explained the differences between the different brands of high security deadbolts, and did a great job installing, and cleaning up before he left. I tried saving some money and doing it myself and going the Home Depot way. Tony fixed my problem, secured my door (and my neighbours too), and had such a cheery attitude I don't think I could even consider going some place else. When I got my bill, I thought it would cost more. In the end, adding all the costs of trips to Home Depot, and having failing equipment I just wish I had called them in the first place.
