Very disappointed with this company. I had my vents and furnace cleaned 11/24/11 and while I…read moreassumed they did a good job, and the gentleman were very polite, my question and comments concern the use of the voucher and the extra costs added to my bill. Firstly, my voucher (#3021-3345) stated that I was entitled to 10 vents and 2 intakes to be cleaned. Having counted my vents, I have 14 heating vents in my house with 2 intakes. So by my calculations any number above 10 vents gets an additional charge, in this case 4 extra for $40.00...I was billed $80.00...4 extra vents seemed to have been added. What am I missing here? Secondly, I was told there was drywall dust in my vents. That could very well be as we had some work done recently and even though the vents were covered, I concede that some dust may have gotten in. I was billed $130.00 for an "Eco + Construction" cost. This is unacceptable. I know that Ellice Point Recycle charges 25 cents per kilogram of drywall at their recycling centre. An 8x4 sheet of drywall or gyproc would cost approximately $32.00 to dispose at this depot. 4 sheets would cost around $130.00. It is obvious that your people did not extract this much drywall DUST out of our vents. I feel I was grossly cheated on this cost. Therefore you can appreciate my anger in this respect. My total bill was $433.88 ! After using a voucher to cover much of what I thought would be the bulk of the cost...this far exceeds what I expected to pay. The voucher is not clear that a furnace cleaning is not included but I understand, after the fact, that this voucher was only good for a "Furnace Inspection". Seriously? I did show the two gentleman the voucher and stated I wanted it cleaned, but again it was not clear, nor did they make it clear, that this was going to be extra. So, I paid $180.00 for a cleaning. I'm curious, did this voucher account for anything? I intended to pursue this however, if I am reimbursed the cost of the "Eco" fee (or at least 75% of this fee) and the extra $40.00 for extra vents that they must have miscounted -- total $170.00 returned to me, I would be happy and complain no further. After receiving $65.00 back (admittance of inefficiency?) I decided to say "to hell with this. I'll eat this experiment. The Boss was always away when I called and it seemed they were not prepared to discuss the issue or exercise any integrity. I took this as a life lesson. Oh, and their e-mail address conveniently is invalid! They obviously need to re-word the vouchers and make it clear to potential return customers of exactly what the customer is entitled. It seems that in my case, the purpose of the voucher was defeated by the unusually high cost of this service. In any event, for me, this is a one timer.
