Customer service was not the best,bathrooms where absolutely Disgusting,two out of three of them were out of order. The only one that was in order was straight up gross,when you try to flush the water comes up like it's about to flow over. They also don't carry large bags of ice? "TERRIBLE". I purchased a HART brand lawn mower at this location in the summer of 2024. It cost me $289.00 + Tax. The battery will not take a charge. I tried to swap out the battery at the store today because the package says that the battery has a 3 year warranty right on the packaging. And the customer service lady was very rude and snappy with me. Telling me that it's not their problem, and I need to contact the Hart company. She did nothing to try to help me out. A brand new battery for this lawnmower cost $216.00. That's almost as much as I paid for the lawn mower. Walmart is selling this stuff, but they don't stand behind the products that they're selling. I worked for walmart in the 90's, and they always stood behind the product's that sold, Whether you had a receipt or not. Now, this lady barely gave me the time of day when I have a real genuine concern. I will no longer purchase any cordless Hart brand tools from any walmart, if that's the way they're going to treat loyal customers. And i'm giving A; "NO STARS" rating, because that was a "PISS-POOR-EXCUSE" for customer service. I couldn't post my comment without tapping at least one star. Ask me what I'm doing all the way out in Susanville? I'll tell you. My BFF and her man bought property out in Milford. Where is Milford? Northern California somewhere. To be more specific, an hour from Reno. It has a population of 206. Yes, you read that right. 206 people in Milford. Which is why most homes (including my BFF) have around 20+ acres of property surrounding their homes. So how did I end up in Susanville? I'm getting there. It was the closest 'town' (sign of civilization) next to Milford. And we needed groceries + cleaning supplies for the house. There are some things about Walmart that you love no matter which location you go. Yes folks, it's the people. Because Walmart guarantees the best kind of people watching-- whether it's the screams of kids throwing tantrums or the kids running around barefoot with parents nowhere to be found. Ahhh, Walmart. When you're out in the middle of nowhere, you gotta appreciate this store. It's as close to "home" I felt and roaming through the aisles felt so 'familiar." Laugh all you like but when you grow up in the Bay Area, a place like Milford is completely foreign to you. I was staying for 4 days and this was the biggest store they had. Since we were stocking the house with things like throw blankets, extra pillows, towels, cleaning supplies, toiletries and snacks, this Walmart was perfect for what we needed. And more importantly, cheap. Like another reviewer said, everything in this store was well kept and organized. The workers I came in contact with were also friendly. So if you ever find yourself out in Susanville, you might just end up at Walmart. I sure did. read more

My husband and I stopped at the Susanville Walmart and our son asked us to get him an sandwich! My handicap husband drove up to the counter and the young man with long black hair was on his phone arguing with someone! He told my husband that I will be right back and proceeded to argue on his phone! Then without an apology he came back and took the order! I put the sandwich in our cooler and drove home ! I gave my son the sandwich and it wasn't wrapped up and it was just an pile of food all messed up! My son was couldn't eat it as it was so go! He loves to eat!! read more

I drove a half an hour to come in to Susanville to pick up a Bissell green machine. Online it shows they are available in store for pick up. I went in to buy the machine. None on the shelf. Jim a floor rep told me I needed to order it online before they can pull it from inventory. I ordered & paid. Then website says I need to come back in an hour to pickup. On the way out I stopped at service desk & the manger Trae said he could not just check and see if I could get it now. He said he may have to get a forklift and another couple excuses. All because guy is to lazy to just go look and see if it is in stock. His associate first told me to cancel the online order and she could ring it up they just have to pull it. I can't believe they made this guy a decision maker. I've owned my business for 28 years & if one of my employees was so adamant about not helping a client, I would want to know. Good luck Walmart. This is the friendliest Walmart I have ever been to. Every time I walk in the employees greet me. The store is so organized & clean. They have a lot of sales on the clothing. They even got nice clothing for men. Quality of clothing isn't too bad either. What I also like about this location is that they are fully stocked in their inventory. They also have a nice selection of books here. This is my favorite Walmart i have ever been to. LA Walmart's should definitely learn a thing or two from this location. read more

This is what I'm posting everywhere about my experience with walmart, Rant against Walmart. Since moving to Alturas from the destruction in the Paradise Camp Fire and no longer driving I soon learned that the quickest way to get things is to order from nearby stores which means Walmart among others. I ordered a LOT of stuff. After having some grievous issues with my ipad being intermittently unresponsive to keypresses and taps I had had enough! Its ironic that I went through this fountain of frustration trying to order a new ipad to avoid the frustration I was experiencing using this old one. I hate frustration to the point that profanity begins to bubble forth. I tend to get rid of things that cost me that degree of aggravation. I needed to upgrade to a later model so I settled on the ipad 2018. Ipad pro would be better but its just too much money for the 2017 ipad pro. I prefer iPad because it syncs with my phone so notes and other things are shared between them. I have one credit card for purchases that are a bit expensive. I went to my trusty walmart app, logged in and added the card to my payment options and ordered one. Little did I know the heaps of bull excrement was about to fly and bury me up deep! I call them pasture pastries. A few seconds later I get an email that my order was canceled because they couldn't verify some of my payment info. First pasture pastry comes flopping down! Everything is correct! I try to call my bank but can't reach them. Many hours of trying to reach the bank later the banker tells me that the transaction was approved but that walmart "Adjusted" the transaction after it was authorized causing the bank to "Reject" the transaction. The banker says he has no idea why they are doing this but that I must deal with WalMuck. Muck stands for the green knee deep pastries I'm about to spend the next several hours wading through. Meanwhile because of these adjustments my bank puts a lock on my card but doesn't bother telling me so. So its back to walmart. The first associate says its their fraud detection team at walmart that canceled because of unusual activity. The only unusual activity was adding my credit card to the payment methods and trying to use it! So she claims she can put a challenge on it and a note to the "Fraud team" and if I wait 30 minutes I can try again. I thank her and wait 30 minutes. (Til 12:30am) I try and the order is cancelled again! Back to calling Walmuck. I'm REALLY ticked off and I gotta keep lowering my voice so as not to yell at the poor soul that picks up the phone. Some guy picks up the phone and I tell him whats going on and now the shakes set in and I'm being frustrated by my fingers jackhammering keys instead of typing. The rep tells me that its being turned down because I ordered the item on my iphone and then tried on my ipad. I don't believe this particular pastry that comes flopping my way from this particular liar/guesser because I avoid transactions on my iPhone because of the shakes but I play along and use the phone to attempt the order with the same results. He says he will send an email to management and have them contact me when its all fixed. They do not contact me. I called the bank and went to bed and after 90 minutes I get a banker who informs me that the card is locked and so she removes the lock and tells me I can complete the order now. Of course I try it again and the order is canceled again so its back to calling the bank, hoping when they finally do answer it will wake me up. The next rep tells me that walmart that is "Adjusting" the transaction after approval by the bank causing it to be rejected so now its down to walmart I'm so disgusted I give up for the night. In the morning I call a rep at Walmuck and I get disconnected. I call again and I'm put on everhold that frozen island where customers die of freezer-burn while in hold. Finally a rep tells me it will take 24 hours for a manager to investigate and call me back and I tell her in no uncertain terms that I will NOT wait 24 hours and that I want to speak to that manager NOW! After 20 more minutes she says the mismanager is on the phone and can call me back. Its been four and a half hours and they have not called me back. I told them if I ended up buying it elsewhere that I will never do business with Walmart again and that I'd post this in social media. I ended up buying an IPad from elsewhere. I know I'll end up waiting for weeks instead of maybe 1 week because only god knows when and from where they will ship it but waiting is a whole lot less disgusting than listening to lies and broken promise from Walmuck! read more

I was so happy to move to an area that has a clean and uncrowded Walmart. Staff are always considerate and attentive. Because its a small town in an area around vacations spots and a prison there are times when there is an influx of people. This creates a problem when the lines to pay are way too long. Shopped on black Friday and there was need to rush to get that special price. By the end they were announcing hey we still have Ipads ot Tvs ect... I got a kick out of that. I finally had to buy a personal computer and link up to the internet. I found what I was looking for at Walmart but had problems because I needed to order it online. Tanner was exceptional in helping me resolve this issue which had taken two visits to the store to correct. Not only was the ordering issues resolved, he then pulls out an additional $20.00 off coupon. By the time the order went through, I saved an additional $50.00 altogether. Road trip. Middle of nowhere. Need stuff. Go to Walmart. This is what happened to me. And this is the smallest Wal-Mart I've ever been to - doesn't have a tire center or nail salon or urgent care or a fast food restaurant or a hair place or an eyeball doctor on site. That's okay. Had what I needed for cheap. Weirdly, there was a splatter of blood in the aisle and no one seemed to be in a rush to go clean it. Yuck. read more

This WalMart is great. It's never crowded and is clean. You should see the one in Oakland if you are complaining about this one! The other day I was in the fabric section and Lynn asked if I needed help. By the way she was talking I could tell she's creative. So I ran a couple ideas by her. I loved what she suggested. And she even walked across the store to show me the tools I needed to do my thing. One of the projects was making curtains. I got super cute material here for $9. I don't have a sewing machine so Lynn suggested an iron-on tape and it worked great! So basically I paid $12 for a nice pair of drapes. Unbelievable! I had someone in the Bay Area once sew drapes for me and it was $80 per panel! Aside from this, this Walmart has the best home decor section. I haven't seen the selection they have here anywhere else. So no complaints on this end. read more

Very irritated, simply trying to buy a kayak, they supposedly sell them there. They have one big one that doesn't suit my needs. They have pics with skue numbers for many others. They say "you" just go in their app and click to order it. No, they are not available. Their customer service shows you an iPad of 25 pages of stuff for me to scroll through to pick out more kayaks which are available. We finally locate one that says add to cart, it's available. Now I just have to pay $50 for delivery? To your store? So you advertise items you don't have that I can have sent to me at higher prices and with delivery fees? Take down the signs saying you sell these items if you don't. I'll go to Reno where I can see a product and know what I'm paying for. I don't like the time wasting and the people blowing me off, telling me to go to a site to waste even more if my time. Why have salespeople if they don't sell or know anything about the products. read more

The cashier in the electronics department was extremely nice and went out of her way to get my daughter the Xbox controller she really wanted, the red one. She went in back twice searching because she knew her department and knew there was one left. She stayed very cheerful the whole time. I went in for several items and stepped into electronics to get a 3 pack of flash drives. They were locked up. I asked the friendly woman working there to unlock them for me, which she did. But she wouldn't let me take them from the section to pay for them up front. I'm not sure why this annoys me so much, but it does. I understand you want to discourage thieves, but you also discouraged me from making the purchase. I went home and bought them on Amazon instead. I will be making ALL of my electronics purchases from Amazon from this point forward so Walmart doesn't have to worry about me stealing from them. You're welcome. read more

What is up with this Walmart policy of only having one cashier? I asked why there was only one cashier when the only lane was no less than 12 people in line. I was told "we have a one cashier policy because we went customers to use self checkout"Well, self checkout is great if you only have a few items. Im not sure where to start off so Im going to number 5 reason why people of color should never shop here. 1) In the parking lot on one of the shopping carts there was a bumper sticker that said "IF YOUR BROWN GET OUT OF TOWN" 2) I came here and left my foundation make at home and since susanville is so tiny, I had to buy it at walmart, There darkest powder was IVORY 3) Every worker there looked at me like I was some crazy creature in the zoo, or maybe because I was the only mexican there 4) As soon as me and my family walk in the store we were followed buy this white young lady who at first I didn't like a worker but ended up being a cop lady and she informed a walmart worker that "They are here" 5) I was here with my bf sister in law and she is indian... not too much to say there but the looks weren't nice at all I hope this is informatinal and not too mean but Wow I have to say Im never going to stop at susanville again! I traveled from Southern California to visit a loved one in the prison in Susanville. I needed to take only $1 bills into the prison for vending, so I stopped at this Walmart because they have a money services counter. The young man at the counter was very nice, and the gentleman ahead of me asked him if he could have a $20 bill broken into ones. I spoke to the man and said I think we're going to the same place tomorrow because I need the same thing. We laughed about it, and the young man told us he needed to call his manager to have her get change from the safe to accommodate us. His manager called back and said absolutely not. She said it is store policy that they do not give out $1 bills on weekends for prison visits. In spite of that, I purchased a few items and while at the register to check out I asked if I could have my change given in all ones, and the cashier told me she wasn't allowed to give out $1 bills to anyone unless it was necessary to give correct change. She said she could get fired for it. I asked her where else I could go for money services and she recommended the casino just outside of town. It's seems to me that if you are a retailer in a prison town, you should want to accommodate travelers in town for prison visits, especially if you are advertising money services. The bottom line is that if I come in for money services, chances are I'm going to spend money on other things. Well guess what? Not anymore! I'll shop elsewhere, thank you. read more

Poorly stocked store. Always have to wait in line to check out. Too much product out in the aisles making it hard to get around. Two people with carts can barely pass each other in an aisle. Inventory sucks compared to other walmarts I go to in Reno, Nv. This store is too small to support our area. Past attempts to remodel and expand just are not good enough. Would love to see a super walmart here in place of the current one. Groceries in the other local markets are very expensive and this small walmart doesn't carry enough groceries! Most of my money goes to Reno stores and I only use this walmart if I have to. read more

I drove from Quincy to Susanville today, nearly 200 miles round trip to purchase a Printer. Mine quit in the middle of a project I was working on. I purchased a Cannon Pixma MP495 in your Electronics Dept. I drove home and finally was able to get it connected after some minor problems. I'm right now completely happy with this printer, and I only hope it holds up as well as the HP Printer I bought there many years ago and until today it never failed me once. I guess I was less than happy when I arrived and a bit apprehensive about a new purchase so fast, but I'd like your saleman to know that he was very helpful. Please do tell him thank you for me. This is a medium sized Walmart. It has a partial grocery that means the grocery has about a quarter of the selections of a Walmart Grocery. However, I was able to find all the chips, soda, and other snacks I wanted for a camping trip. I was also looking for men's clothing, and there was a large selection of clothes. There were a couple of items I wanted that were out of stock in the size I wanted, but I found other items that I was very happy with, and the prices were 20% less than I paid at Walmarts in the Bay Area. The store was clean and much less crowded than I am use to in larger cities. Just flew through check out and the cashiers were very friendly. Other workers were very helpful and friendly too. They had a Subway inside. read more
