It closes at 11, but they shut their doors at 10:30. I have never seen any store do this. The time you close is the time you close your doors and finish up with the customers on the inside. read more

Walmart lets face it has all kinds of stuff yeah they have groceries and a pretty good selection I personally don't buy my meat there but I do buy other food items. I mostly buy non food items here. Socks, pajamas and kids clothes. Flannel shirts and blankets, sheets, pillows, towels and all kinds of kitchen stuff. They have a decent selection of Pioneer Woman, Rachel Ray and cast Iron cookware. They also carry fishing gear and camping gear they even sell live worms, gross but yep they got em. They've got kayaks, bbq pits, wheel barrels some tools and almost every as you've seen on tv items they even have the pillow guy Mike Lindell's pillows. Playing card's, gift cards and gift bags they have razors, cologne, shaving cream and short socks long socks and dress socks. They have toys for kids, kitchen stuff for the cook, stuff to clean & wax your car, tires, batteries and oil for your car. So they have gifts for dad gifts for mom gifts for kids and gifts for your grandparents. Whew you get it, they have almost everything. You can buy a engagement ring, a television, socks, beer and some T-bone steaks and pick up a pack of diapers.walmart truly has so much of what we all need but the service sucks at this Walmart and many others as well. The best checker here is a lady named Hank! She works the cigarette and alcohol lane. She been here as long as I can remember but she's always smiling and getting the job done. I come to this Walmart because it is the closest Store to me, not out of preference. While this Walmart is in my opinion average, I have had several instances where I received well below what I view as acceptable service, ranging from a complete lack of respect from the workers, to zero care in helping me find a product, to flagrant avoidance, and lastly a refusal to sell me alcohol with a valid Drivers license out of seemingly ignorant and stubborn behavior from cashiers and supervisors. read more

Have you ever found yourself in an unfamiliar place in need of cheap clothing? On a recent trip to Zachary, I was in need of a long sleeved shirt. The requirements for the shirt were that it be cheap enough that when it was destroyed I wouldn't feel bad. Since I had never been to the area, I sought out the nearest Wal-Mart. This location had exactly what I needed. When I went to try it on I did have to interrupt the worker's texting, but at least she actually stopped to give me directions. This Wal-Mart was nearly identical to the others I have visited. The employees were slightly more helpful and it was less crowded, but that could have just been luck on my part. In closing, if you find yourself in a foreign land and need a cheap shirt, head to Wal-Mart. read more

Normally I wouldn't take the time to review a Walmart because, well, it's a Walmart. But the one in Zachary is just AWFUL. The produce department is TINY and always empty. Last weekend - the lettuce (all varieties), green apples, and garlic, were all completely gone. Aisles were either empty or so full of unpacked product you couldn't move. I'm a fan of the prices, but going to multiple stores isn't saving me any time or money. You're better off driving into Baton Rouge. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! They act like they hate their jobs. There was a stabbing in there. No fresh fruits ever. Out of stuff for months at a time. Don't want to take cash anymore. And I'm not. A cashier so don't get angry when people mess up checking themselves out. Sad sad place. read more

We have 3 reasonably close walmarts and this is the worst. Employees jamming the aisles, usually travelling in groups, unable or unwilling to answer questions or provide help. Some of their checkout people are wonderful and have been there for years and are very good but the store itself is dirty, there are always buggies all over the parking lot and the stockers shouldn't be jamming the aisles from 3-5 pm. Very poorly managed. Use Baker or Central walmarts instead. read more

I'm glad that walmart finally carries Quest bars. They are 30 cents cheaper then gnc or other stores. I try to stay away from cashiers because the lines are always long. So I use the self checkout. While using the self checkout, there was a guy that needed help but he couldn't find a walmart employee to help him. He told me that he was waiting for 15 minutes. read more

The tire and lube express stripped my oil plug, and claim that they did nothing wrong- that my car had problems coming in. 1. If that was the case, you should have said something BEFORE working on it. 2. The paperwork mentions NOTHING of prior damage. 3. Your employees mentions NOTHING of prior damage. If I pay you to do a job right, and you screw up my property, it is your job; by law; to fix what you damaged. Never coming here again. Everybody I talk to complains about how mismanaged this location is. Many tell me the drive to the nearby Baker location is worth the extra gas and time. I've experienced many of these same customer issues first hand: poor selection, empty shelves, mislabeled merchandise, and struggling to get decent service. I feel bad for the employees working hard to cover for those that don't seem to care. I have overheard employees complain about a slacker culture that management is unable or unwilling to address. read more

This walmart is by far the worst I've been to in this country. The parking lot is a dumpster. The customer service ha well you have none .the employers are all RUDE. There was mold on the bread and mildew on the meats. There was trash everywhere threw out the store. The bathrooms is a epidemic waiting to happen. There's hardly anything on the shelves. They never have nothing you need and if you ask the manager to oder it for you. They say they can't. But if you go to baker or central walmart. They have no problem getting what you need. This walmart should be closed down and rebuilt someone needs to call the health service on this place before someone gets sick. Seriously if you live in the area and don't want to be treated rudely. Ive been shopping at this store for 3 years. First year experience was good. The store was kept clean and employees were nice enough. Helpful when needed. The prices were very good. Then in the second year, found that things in the store were deteriorating. Prices were slowly but surely creeping up, store not stocked at it was previously and the employees, especially the cashiers' attitudes went from ok to bad. These days the shelves are not stocked it seems no matter when you are there. The prices are not much different from the other store in the surrounding area, the fresh fruit and vegetables leaves a lot to be desired and the cashiers' attitudes get obnoxious. These conditions tells a lot about Walmart themselves, from district manager and store manager. LeBlanc and Winn Dixie are much nicer stores in the area. read more

I went to this store for a specific item. Something I found online and was completely sold out in Baton Rouge in MANY stores. So I was able to buy it using walmart.com and ship to store. I got my email within 2 hours that it was ready for pickup. I wasn't going to be excited about it until it was in my hands. well as I was walking to the back I passed where the item would be on the shelf and there was none. Then when I got to pickup, nobody was there (no surprise). They called someone and when I gave them my slip they disappeared and didn't come back for a while. Nobody else was there so wasn't sure what was taking so long. (besides that it's walmart) and they appeared with my item ! I was very, very happy. Then I picked up a few more things then waited in the dreaded walmart checkout. Long lines nobody in a rush. All you can do is pull out your phone and start surfing the web. It's walmart. I lost my phone at this Wal-Mart at approximately 8:30 pm and have been trying for an hour to get someone on the phone. It just rings and rings at 10:30 at night even though they are open 24 hours. I am very frustrated that noone will answer. This is very unprofessional for a large business such as Wal-Mart. read more
