So it's been a long time since I've actually went inside the establishment. I usually do the curbside pickup if I do have to stop by. They've remodeled and reorganized the whole store. I've noticed lanes are a lot tighter. Like barely fitting two carts side by side. We stopped by the restroom in the back because my son really had to go and surprisingly it was clean. My kids even made a comment about it. Before the update it was pretty sketch and almost always had a foul smell. Pretty average Walmart though stocking needs to be revised. My boys got two items from the toy section with tags of 24.99 and one of the toys rang up 48.99 and the other 56.99. They were stocked shelves with clear labels. It was pretty upsetting but we were in a hurry to go home so I took the L. Someone obviously did their job wrong. Got in the car and took a look at my receipt because the math wasn't mathing between what I bought and what I paid. I also saw my $7 mirror was showing $18.89.. I took it as a reminder why I try not to shop at Walmart nor go in. read more

Walmart deliver sucks and they only use immigrants that can't speak any. Can follow basic directions f up every order. I had enough to day since the f up the order so bad I was going to have to go to target I made the driver take it back refused the order. Bought a printer here March 23,2026 this past Monday,April 27,2026, the part that holds the ink catridges somehow jammed up and wouldnt move therefore printer wouldnt work. took it back in hopes of simply exchanging it and was told you cant do that anymore. so i said well just give me a return and I'll purchase another. I had my reciept it was packed back into its original container with all paperwork inside. i was then told that couldnt do a return because there was only a 30 day periiod for return on electronics and my 30 days was up on April 22. However, posted right behind the associate i was speaking with was a sign that stated, "At WalMart our goal is to satisfy the customer. you can do a return with or without a reciept for 90 days ! No where on said sign did it have posted that electronics were only 30days ! not even in small print ! so the associate informed me that there was "nothing that they could/would do for me ! " What kind of customer service is that ?? needless to say I did NOT leave a happy/satisfied customer and we are out a printer and the money to purchase. The printer was actually for my work so everybody there knows and hopefully is telling everybody they know what an absolute joke Winder WalMart is at handling their customers ! i have 25+ years in retail customer service and i have never, would never allow my customer to leave not satisfied nor would any customer ever be told i couldnt do anything for them ! read more

Interesting location. Kind of difficult the roads being new here to get to in and out and back home, but going in is the experience. Seemingly, every isle is full of product- every day, backed up to be put on shelves so getting around is hard. Very hard to find someone that works there without an iPhone- texting their hearts away. Did manage to find some items I needed but when it came to check out- typical no lanes- only self check and nobody knows how to self check apparently . Store itself has potential, has automotive, outdoor, groceries, produce- just seems to be behind and the management. I've been in now a few times as it is the closest to me, but not something I will choose if I have other options. Get it going walmart!!! You're the only game in town and this town needs something great!!! Even if its just walmart. read more

It is always such a horrific experience at this store. whoever runs the place should be ashamed of themselves because it's a literal joke. I have a story for every time I visit. They brought me out a busted fan with the box completely shredded. At this point I come for the laughs because this particular Walmart has no clue what they are doing. What could improve? EVERYTHING! Rudest employees, managers, auto technicians...just everyone! Had to go into the store because they botched my online order and oh my! Almost knocked over by an employee, completely ignored when I spoke by another, a group of employees including a manager (white shirt) laughing and clearly enjoying each other's company until I came up to ask for assistance and ruined everything. They literally glared at me for 10 seconds before answering...I wasn't sure I was actually going to get an answer. Winder walmart one of the worst...Parking lot poorly lit at night. Employees rude don't want to work and fool around with eachother ignoring customers needing help. Also pay attention to prices/receipts, will be one price at the shelf and usually a different higher price at the register. Paid cash for and item in sept, returned w/ receipt in oct bc it didnt work and they only offered a gift certificate, very sick of their depressing store. read more

Just learned that Scott in the Bakery Department will be leaving WalMart soon. Scott is the ONLY reason people use the Winder WalMart for bakery cakes. He's amazing! Plus, when we come in to get that cake, we usually buy other things. I know for a fact I WILL NOT be back to the Winder WalMart for anything in the bakery. What a foolish move on this store management's part. I wonder how much loss your bakery and overall store will suffer from this short-sightedness. I'll drive the extra miles and pay the extra cost to get a cake from Scott no matter where he ends up. read more

As of now, this Walmart is nice and clean and organized!! Bathrooms not so clean. People are friendly and there is more staff here than other Walmarts I've seen. Hope this place keeps it up! read more

Once again very disappointed in our local Walmart. It never ceases to amaze me that such a busy location would not have one cashier on the floor and only self checkout registers on one side of the store. Even the register with the tobacco products was closed,which did cause a bit of a disturbance from the people behind me in line. The line was one of four that went back into the isles and blocked the main walkway that you use to go from one side of the store to the other. read more

The grocery delivery is terrible. Twice I have been delivered somebody else's groceries and trying to get that resolved is painfully ridiculous. Today I ordered 15 items to be delivered and I received 10 items even though the app says all 15 items were delivered. Either Wal-Mart is only fulfilling 66.6% of the order or the driver is stealing. Coincidentally it was ALL the expensive items that weren't delivered. All the meats (ribs, steak, rtc.) and I literally don't have a dinner to cook right now. The driver must be stealing or they forget to load all the groceries, either way it sucks. Too many times the order is missing items. read more

Always seems to be this particular Walmart that only has 2 registers up. Customer service here is terrible and never really any help. Called up to Walmart to check pricing of an item and was left on hold for 20 minutes with no help nor did they come back to receive my call on hold. The help here isn't much help and should talk more professional or at least more politely. But on the bright side, they have stepped up there neatness and have been stocking up more. read more

Consistently out of stock of in demand items. And not just one day, for days on end. Consistently overstocked on non selling items. It would appear this location has a static restocking routine that never updates based on demand. Ever. Even better is the complete under staffing of cashiers, while maintaining staffing for people to ask for your receipt at the door... This is the place to go when you think that the Walmart in your area is bad! Kind of like going to the circus to see the menagerie of freaks at the side show when you are feeling down about yourself. read more

I purchased a Galaxy S20 phone with Straighttalk 4 days ago and am still in need of someone to transfer my information. I was informed a company called T Roc does this, as Walmart no longer does. The electronics employee could not tell me when they would be there or provide a number. I've been calling for 4 days to try and see if the T Roc associate is in...I AM YET TO SPEAK TO AN ELECTRONICS EMPLOYEE!!!!!!!! Electronics department never picks up and when someone does, sounds like they are too aggravated at having to answer the phone, then I'm told...NOT MY DEPARTMENT. WHAT THE HELL WALMART ASSOCIATES??!! I will never shop at this walmart ever again. The associates are racists and the managers/supervisors dont care. They are rude, and never want to help you.. Eventhough when you need help finding something at this unorganized store you have to hunt an associate down 6 or 7 aisles down from where you were.. They never know their products as to whether they sell it or not, and always have an attitude when you ask them for help. read more

No matter what time I go.. There is always stuff in the aisles blocking half of it. Either back stock or just plain garbage.

Typical Walmart nothing really special. I've been here on three occasions and they seem to be always remodeling.

Sign above return center says: Receipt or not, items can cheerfully returned. After waiting in line for 20 minutes for the one working employee (out of 4 standing around) , clerk informed me that the small item I had could not be returned because I did not have a receipt. The hand exercise balls with a Gold's Gym label that sell for $9.95 have a warning label that says materials can cause cancer. I have small grandchildren and we were afraid that if one of them played with them, it could cause them harm. So no, I did not want to exchange them! I complained to clerk that the sign stated that I could RETURN with or with receipt.... She could have cared less. Well, I said thanks but no thanks.... tossed them in their return bin and walked out! Im out $10 dollars, but walmart just lost a good customer! read more

The people that work here set the bar at a whole new low. In general, they have less intelligence and more attitude than any other customer service industry in Winder....probably in Georgia. Here is my latest ordeal that prompted me to write this review. I returned a gift from a friend that had a regular receipt in the bag. I stated that it was a gift and I had another return on another receipt as well. It took the customer service employee about 4 minutes to process my returned item and give me the cash. Then, I stated again that the second return was a gift and the man proceeded to process the returned gift AND PUT IT RIGHT BACK ON MY FRIENDS CREDIT CARD! When he told me this was the only option (after he completed the transaction and supposedly couldn't do anything about it), I was furious. I asked if I could just get the credit and he said it had to go back on the card. I tried to explain how that was my friend's card and that now I lost my gift, since it was not my credit card, and also my friend was going to know I returned her gift, which was embarrassing. He just stared at me blankly repeating he put the credit on the card. I tried several approaches to let him know I wanted my gift or credit to no avail. I asked if I could have just lied and said I didn't have the receipt and gotten a store credit and he said "yes" but was unwilling to help me @ this point because he had already credited the card. I was on the verge of getting a manager when I gave up and decided I was glad I didn't have a credit because I would NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! read more

Just Bad. The Saturday before Mothers day at 3:30 and there are half empty shelves and 2 checkout lanes out of 20 open. At least 10 people in each line and self serve is just as bad. New cashiers coming up to line are giving breaks rather than opening new lines. Took almost 30 minutes to check out. read more

I hate this Walmart. The cart returns aren't emptied often enough, so people just leave carts sitting randomly all over the lot which is downhill. Guess where they all end up... Rolled into the cars parked downhill, mine included. I confronted a manager about it & he was nasty & defensive. Complained about him on the store site to no avail. I only go there for my prescriptions now. The self checkout registers are pathetic old computer systems that seldom work right. read more

Nastiest, dirtiest Walmart I have ever been in. The shelves are pitifully stocked. I saw an undisciplined little urchin LICKING the fresh broccoli in the produce department. Informing her mother did no good, so I found a produce employee near by and told him. That was fruitless also. He just didn't care. I have several times needed assistance finding items and there's usually several employees near by......but they're too busy with whining about wanting a union, to offer any assistance. I usually avoid this place like the plague, but where else can you buy carburetor cleaner, a box of ammo, deodorant, a t shirt and some oreos when you're in a hurry? Turns out, you can't. Not even at this Walmart. I honestly don't know why I keep going back. I'll go a few months without going in, then I guess I forget what a cesspool this place is. Then, I go back, like an idiot. Tire & Lube service is slower here than my great granny running a marathon. The staff is about as helpful as an umbrella in a hurricane. Unless you plan on spending the better part of your day sitting in an uncomfortable brown chair watching ineptitude happen all around you, I would go somewhere else for an oil change or tire service. read more

Stood here for over 45 minutes waiting for help to get a fishing license. The co manger nor an associate could help us in getting one. Co manager told us that only one person was able to help us. WILL NEVER RETURN HERE! Such a horrible attitude as well read more

We went to cash a check. The board says they cash rebates and refunds. I had a refund check from a car dealership. Had my name address and everything on it. They couldn't do it after they said they could and called a manager the first manager signed it and had me wait30 fucking minutes for the other manager, who said they don't do. They are idiots. Walmart not so bad during the day , but at night it seems they allow the crew that don't care to work. I often have to go to Walmart around midnight because that is when I get off of work and anytime you need help you can never find anyone and if you find someone and they can't help.They walk away more then likely they just walked away not finding anyone to help you. This is one of the worst Walmart stores I have ever been in. Poorly managed, failure to stock, aisles full of junk, registers have long lines every time I try to check out, rotte produce, dirty store, greeters are even grouchy! Compare this to the Athens Epps Bridge store which is stellar. I drive the extra 12 miles gladly to shopat a good store. Winder deserves better. Their store is steps below the worst K-mart ever. read more
