And it's safe to say mine had seen better days. Always cleaned and sanitized, bleached, but it was beat. Being close to Walmart, but not always pleased, I still gave it a chance. I went there in pursuit of a new kitchen garbage can and the selection was slim, not many in stock, and not much info as to when new stock was coming in. So I ventured to Target as I've done before. I walked into a very clean, spic & span store, was politely greeted by 2 young stock/inventory men. I asked for directions as to where I could find garbage cans and they immediately directed me. When I got to the isle I had a question about the can top and then locations of bags, and again, prompt help, service! The garbage can is an 11.4 gallons priced at $12.00 dollars, and I also purchased a 110 13 gallon bags at $8.99, grand total, $22.67. And the cash out line was expeditious. I'm pleased! And when I left, I mentioned to the cash out clerk how clean the store was, and helpful the sales people were. I said this is much different than Walmart. He looked at me and said, "we try sir". Target is a well run store, 5 stars!

The cat food here is cheaper than at Dol Gens in other zones, and while they don't have the "good water", it's still a good location of the store. I was here about a week ago, buying $25 worth of cat food for 20. It's a good Dol Gen and has nice service too. I'll give it a very solid 3. I always go to Dollar Generals on Saturdays, and have been to most of the locations in the Rochester and Buffalo areas, and this is one of the better ones.

My mother had a stroke several years ago so with limited mobility and eyesight, it is not easy to shop for clothes. Lidl - I wouldn't mind one of those coming to Rochester btw) only enhanced by the customary American Shopping cart. Their carts are huge. Let's be honest. Aldi has really good prices and generally good products. Their produce is generally good quality, though unfortunately not local. I wait for their deals and splurge on avocados and mangoes when they go on sale. They have a nice selection of German products including sauerkraut and red cabbage. Jaffa cakes are readily available here too if you're into that type of treat. You can really get a good deal on healthier option snacks here: dried fruits, nuts, granolas, etc. I have rarely been disappointed by a product I've bought here. If you're into kombucha, kefir, or Bolthouse Farms fruit smoothies - make sure to check in at Aldi for better prices than you can get elsewhere. The staff at this location has always been friendly and helpful. They are really patient with older customers, and I was happy to see that even though they are trained to be quick and efficient when ringing you out, they still care about people and will help out their elders. Of course, you have to bag your own purchases. But that's something I've grown accustomed to living in Europe. Almost everywhere there I did my own bagging. At least no one is squashing my loaves of bread but myself. PS - Aldi's brand of candy is really tasty. If I wasn't on diet, I'd probably be buying it more often.
