The nail salon was so amazing and I was just amazed by everything that happened and the nail tech was amazing I was so glad to have her.

I am a Walmart Plus customer. I get with that free delivery. We recently ordered quite a bit of food for church's food pantry. I had this delivered and I always tip the driver but was surprised to find out that Walmart adds a tip to your credit card giving you 24 hours to cancel. Just saying be careful. read more

When I moved here last January I would have to admit I was a Krogers man. I went back to Houston several times last year and still went to Krogers. Walmart has slowly grown on me over the year. Not only have I got my groceries there and a few clothing items but also got my glasses and frames from their optical department. Having a subway there open 24 hours is nice as well. There are other things there like nail salon bank etc. There gas station is outside as well. This one offers self checkout. I like the pharmacy department. They have been fairly patient when I have called w questions and professional. They offer a deal through their app where if you scan receipts then they will do a price comparison and if it is cheaper then give you money in a balance which you later can put on a Walmart card. Ibotta also works here. Cleaner restrooms here than ones in Houston and store is in really decent shape. Convenient and close by. My only complaint is I wish there were more handicap spots. Not serious deal but very much needed. read more

All three female staff I encountered had a bad attitude ie. two of them were fighting with each other in the aisle and the third in clothing kept rolling her eyes as I asked to be let into the fitting room. I just left this Walmart and i just want to say the people they hire are so rude me and my husband went to check out and as soon as we entered the check out line this lady was so rude working cashier I smiled and she gave me the ugliest look I have ever seen I decided it was best not to even speak or ask how her day was because she was so rude she even threw my item when tossing the bag thing around my food landed on the floor And she laughed about it I don't appreciate the customer service they have and this employee I made sure to get her name down because I hope this manager or management do something this employees name is Monique also Monique can get a new job if she's not happy with the one she has. Their shoplifting person, tall and bald man, literally stalks me around the store with no good reason! I've seen him do it to others as well. Simply A Horrible Experience (deserved of only a half star! if i could have...) From the Online purchasing of my 4 tires - to the Attempted Installing of these tires using there Auto Dept. On 600 N Hewitt Dr. I first purchased a set of tires on Aug. 28, 2020 at a reasonable price, with the expected date of arrival for the 3rd of sept. I got a text saying that the tires were ready for pickup on Wednesday the 2nd (at first, I thought it was a very expeditious process) But when I arrived at the Hewitt store, I was told that only 3 had arrived (not all 4, not good!) because I HAD ALREADY GONE OUT OF MY WAY (Schedule-Wise) TO DROP EVERYTHING I WAS DOING (at time of text) TO GET THERE ASAP SO THAT THEY COULD PUT THEM ON MY WIFE'S CAR. But rather than raise a stink about it, I decided to chillax and wait for the last tire to get here, hopefully the next day, (Like the purchase order said). SAD TO SAY, They had dropped the ball once again and the last tire did not show up until Saturday the 5th. (even though they never did contact me when it arrives "Like they said they would", I had to call them but was still trying to be optimistic) so I went and booked it in the auto dept to have these tires installed and warranted the same day. (Like the Online Instructions told me to do.) Here's where THINGS WENT SOUTH, AGAIN!!! I was checking in on the outside of their Tire Dept, thinking that the "Service Guy" was gonna ask me for my "Check In Bar Code" to scan in (which was advised to me to do by my Walmart Online Account and text.) but he refused to scan it and after asking me for all of my "Same Info"(that was already with the Online Check in Service code) He finally said that it was gonna cost me around $850 dollars for a new set of tires, Where as at the time I had been trying to explain to him that I had already paid for them ONLINE! And I also told him that I did not want him to change out my TPMS (Tire-Sensors), He did not respond to that either (Big Surprise RT?)... Well he finally understood what I was trying to say to him, but still did it his own way and then sent me into the auto dept office where, (You Guessed It) I had to explain it nearly all over again with the inside guy (Cody) where, BTW, (wasn't wearing his mask) until 5-8 mins into our conversation and did not want to scan my Bar Code Either. Well I asked him how much it was gonna be for the install and warranty on the tires (just to double check them) he did say the same amount as the Service guy did outside but with just one exception, They wear still gonna charge me for changing out my TPMS sensors of which I had already told the outside guy I didn't want them to change out or even touch them (for fear that they would damage them). He told me (sarcastically) that "It was only 12 dollars" I told him it wasn't about the money but that I knew what it would take to change out each of the tire-sensors and that I doubt that they had any replacements for them. He then became emphatic with trying to tell me that "He Knew What He Was Talking About" and finally said that he could double check and so That's when I said Please Do. So after about 4mins he came back with a more calmer attitude and said that they Do Not Have any of those type sensors. SO I asked him again to please do not touch them when changing out the tires. That's when he called in another "Tire expert" (I forget his name) and told him not to touch the TPMS, that's when he said "Sure we won't, But we're gonna change them out anyways!" He Was Very Emphatic! And Sarcastic About It When He Said It Too, (Not realizing that I was standing Right There!). That's when I asked to speak with a Mgr. So His name was Daniel(Mgr) And I told him that I didn't want them to touch my Sensors so he went out into the shop and spoke with whomever and came back and said "OK, Its done". So I left it at that and finally left. But when I told my wife the HECK I went through, She said Heckkkk No, She doesn't want any of them touching her car "AT ALL" So I had to make several calls to get them to stop (if they started on it) and to park her car so that when we get there we could inspect them how they load up our tires into her car (SUV). It is sad to know that their Auto Dept is in So Bad of Shape that one of their OWN Employees calls you to tell you that maybe you should take it to SO and SO's to have your tires installed there, instead of Walmart! WOW! Sad Indeed!!! I strongly suggest Ya'll DO-NOT TAKE YOUR CARS TO THE WALMART IN HEWITT For fear of this happening to you (or WORSE!). read more

This is a mismanaged mess of a store. You never can find a store manager and shelves are empty because management does not control how much people take, and they really don't care. Hey, this is a typical Wal-Mart. You will find what you need there as well as things you do not want (like parking far away and long lines). They do not seem to be worried about the exceptional HEB Plus store down the street and nor should they. They are flying above the treetops and have strong umbrella support from their corporation. This is not a rant on big business vs. small business (if HEB can be considered in that category) but simply stating that even though HEB is performing above and beyond, Wal-Mart is nonchalant. They do not care about HEB and do not need to! Go here if you need to purchase a TV and other big electronics (compare with Best Buy). Chances are this is where you will make your big item purchase. read more

Shopping here for toys, picking them out of Walmart's because they are going to be gone soon. The store is average, and service OK, I don't recommend but neither discourage from going. Not a good grocery store place, more for holidays/toys/ specific things you won't see at other places. It isn't very dirty, but not clean, and quite old. read more

Arrived at 8:16 on a Saturday night to buy jumper cables because my 16-year-old was stranded but Assistant manager Darrell couldn't let me in because corporates policy is to shut the doors at 8:15 so that customers are out by 830.When I asked if exception could be made since it was an emergency his response was. I had an item to return today. . .the young lady at the door was awesome and very kind. Then I got to the service desk. . .the girl, Tree, took her time putting on gloves and then asked what I needed. I told her I had an item to return and handed her the sticker from the greeter, along with my receipt. The item was laying on the counter and she said "this is what you want to return ? Why ?". I told her it didn't fit. . .(all the time taking her sweet time and in no hurry). She took the item out of the bag and started to process the return. I told her I wanted cash back and she said "I can't do that. . the machine automatically puts the return back on the card used". I told her that I should have the option of cash back or put the amount back on my card. . .she never gave me the option. . .she processed the return as SHE wanted and then lied to me about it. I immediately went to the CSM standing close by and asked her, "if I do a return that was paid by debit card, can I get cash back ?" She said yes, I would have the choice. I told her she needed to instruct Tree (the girls name) as to policy as she didn't even give me a choice and processed the return without even asking. I asked if the transaction could be redone and was told no, it couldn't be reversed. Throughout the years I have seen how Walmart has gone downhill in the customer service area (and I was once a cosmetics manager in the early 90's). Walmart, if you read any of these reviews, you can do better but it appears to the public that you don't want to try. . .its about the money, not the customer anymore. I know in your mind people will continue to shop anyway but, take a long hard look at others stores that are no longer. . .they didn't think it would happen to them either. My story is too long to put on here. But, I will say that this location was my favorite. I enjoyed shopping here and never had problems until I took my vehicle to the Tire and Lube for an oil change. My truck was damaged twice and was only fixed once. I filed a claim with them, and they all gave me the run around including managers, supervisors, and corporate. After a almost a month of waiting to get my truck fixed because we haven't heard back from anyone regardless of the tons of calls we made and emails we sent, we decided to do it ourselves. Finally, got an email telling me that we were denied for the claim. After all I've been through with them, I will never go back to that location and I will never depend on Wal-Mart to fix or claim their mistakes. My advice is, do your oil change yourself! Wal-Mart must hire people who are not qualified to do their jobs. read more

As for Walmart each is a character of the community / location in which it resides. Waco , Bellmead, East, West here or there. Typically they are always great on prices. Along with that though they tend to have the low end merchandise to match their price. I don't know if you have taken notice but they now have very uncompetitive pricing for a vast quantity of groceries. Produce higher than competitors. The only items we get there are the ones HEB don't carry. This location tends to be much cleaner and less problematic then Franklin Dr. . Clientele tend to be more courteous and friendly. Staff attention and availability still hit or miss. Gas price are alway good. Eh its Walmart they service a niche globally. read more

One thing for sure, all Wal-marts are NOT the same! I have been in great and pathetic ones. This one on Hewitt Dr. is decent. It is clean and the bathrooms are well kept. The personnel are friendly and helpful. They have a Subway, nail salon, bank, and hair salon. They also have a garden center. In the grocery area they have a small hot deli that sells roasted chicken, b-b-q chicken, slaws and salads and just good stuff! The prices are average for a Wal-mart. I am into crocheting and their yarn selection is great and the prices are good as well. The only problem I have with this one is that they don't have the prices on a lot of the make-up, especially the nail polish. If you want the price you have to go find a scanner. Then you find that a lot of the polish is rather expensive. Also if you need fuel, this one has it's Murphey's fuel station that is complete with a mini store itself. Overall this is a good store to go to. read more

The lines were so backed up with checkers who admitted to being there only one week! This Wal-Mart needs more carts for the handicapped. Management needs to give the customer service workers a kick start. All of them are snarky, lazy and flat unfriendly. Maybe they are too complacent. It takes them so long to help you because they are too busy talking to each other. Half of them don't know how to do their jobs. The worst is they act like they are doing you a favor to wait on you. Workers in the store are much nicer. Cashiers are usually decent. But the customer service is really shoddy. read more

Remember the nice walmart greeters that made you feel so welcome when you stepped foot inside, the same folks who would greet you on your way out, politely check your receipt for theft prevention? Were has it all gone? I went to walmart last night to get propane for my new gas grill. Never bought propane before so this was a new experience. I was told by others that you just mention it to the cashier. So i did. Of course she had no clue what I was talking about. So finally after paying I move my car to the garden center outside, hit the flashers, and walk into the garden center. 10 min later I am still in the garden center, shouting at the top of my lungs "helllllooooo" "does anybody work here? HELLOOOOO....at this point I had plenty of time to load my car full of Walmart merchandise, (I have a big car)..they have everything in the garden center. Fire pits, lawn mowers, weed eaters, kanooes, those power wheel things for kids. Since I am not a horrible thief, i decided against this course of action. Finally a guy came out who had a key opened the lock and handed my a canister of propane which I then had to haul to my car by myself. Ive seen king of the hill ya know. Oh and the origination here is crappy. Get with it people. Label things right. Doesn't Walmart pay employees to stock its shelves? If so then why is is not done correctly?
