Seller (Walmart) and Manufacture (Pirelli) were shifting my issue on each other. Very to difficult to get refund once paid in full. I have never had problems with Walmart in past with returns. After 6 months of several call and negotiations to both businesses approximately 15 hours of my time Walmart gave me a partial return app $200.00. Cost to replace tire is 600.00. I incurred tow and mounting charges for which i was not reimbursed. Car in driveway since spring. 3 Tires defective tires still on car and not comfortable driving due to tire defects. Will wait till i can afford new tires from a reputable business/manufacture and cut up 3 current tires on car and recycle and nearest tire dealership. April 2021 - My 84 year old father-in-law made the mistake of taking his truck to Walmart to air up his tire but the tire was too damaged and became flat. Although his truck was only 6 feet from the Tire Center garage door the STAFF refused to assist him. Why? You might ask, they claim his truck was not in view of the security cameras. I located cameras all over this area and so that seems to be a false claim at the very least. They are apparently not allowed to work outside the view of security cameras. We were happy to assist him and brought a 3 ton jack with us to finish the job. At one point, we asked to borrow a hex wrench to remove a lug nut cover but all assistance was refused. My wife had to go inside and purchase a new set. I can't remember how many thousands of dollars I have spent at this location but those days are over. I don't understand a corporate policy that does not encourage employees to help an elderly person in a stressful situation. This Walmart has a reputation of being much better than the one in Merrillville and I'm pleased to inform you this rumor is true. The parking is plentiful, the store is clean, well organized and sufficiently staffed based on my visit last week (less than 40 minutes). Used self checkout with little issues except I could not scan an item but there promptly was someone there to help me. I enjoyed our experience and will definitely be returning to this location because my Target experiences have left much to be desired since moving to Indiana. I never thought I would say this, but Walmart, I think you may have Catherine P. back as a customer because of this location and the location in Huntley, Illinois. Time and time again, despite my best efforts at trying to believe that my bad experiences were simply isolated incidents, I've come to the realization that this Walmart store sincerely is not interested in serving its customers. To name all of the bad experiences that I've had at this store would bore the reader and/or cause my thumbs to fall off from excessive typing on my smartphone. With that being said, f you must go to this store I suggest you prepare yourself for a plentiful supply of rude employees, slow employees, rude AND slow employees, lots of out of stock items, and an overall store that just looks disorganized and in constant disarray. This store's Customer Service Desk is by far the worst of any I've ever seen, in any store, in my ENTIRE life. Any time I've had the unfortunate pleasure of needing to visit it, I must wait in a line of at least 4-5 customers with one employee (MaryBeth) working very inefficiently. I am shocked that Walmart would continue to employ a person that is so rude to its "valued" customers. Both personally and as I have listened to conversations with other customers, MaryBeth has been rude, offensive, condescending, and critical to customers. One milder example I can think of involving MaryBeth was when I witnessed her going so far as to say that a customer was "wasting food" because they returned a can of corn to the store and Walmart was going to throw it away. In short, the Customer Service Desk here is a contradiction in terms of its definition. Lastly, prepare for a long wait if you need the services of the Pharmacy or the Electronics Department at this store... There is ALWAYS a line of 5 or more customers every time I visit the Pharmacy, and EVERY SINGLE TIME that I need assistance in Electronics, an employee is nowhere to be found. My recommendation, based on my own experiences: Go to Target, Kmart, or honestly anywhere else but this Walmart store. read more

Well a year ago, I had given them a 5 star rating. That changed when I went there with my parents the day after Christmas. The store was in chaos. Absolute chaos with things everywhere in the aisles, and one cashier working. One. And that's not an exaggeration because we stood in line for over 50 minutes waiting to check out. What's the most funny to me is that there were two managers standing there just watching. Now I'm sorry, I used to work in a grocery store and whenever the store was super slammed all at once, the store managers and front end managers hopped on register for 10-15 minutes to get all the people out of the store and then they went back to their duties. As a front end manager, they should have gotten on and if someone was calling to speak to a manager, the receptionist should have taken the number down and had the manager call back. This was INEXCUSABLE, Walmart. Completely inexcusable, and I'm surprised that poor cashier didn't have a nervous meltdown with the pressure she had thrown on her that day. Get it together. read more

I will start off saying I love their plant area and selection in the spring to summer. It is always quite busy and if grocery shopping it is hard to get down almost every aisle. It is a decent store but they do need to keep their items stocked nicely, i know that often it cannot be helped by customers moving things but someone should be on it. Like the clothing section can be rough. Some grocery items here and there may be out of stock, i dont know the science behind it but order more? Also every week I always see posts about theft and events like that really keep me from coming to the store more. Oh yeah. They're getting better. I went in today and was asked by 3 'associates' if I needed help finding anything. I thought that it wasn't Walmart's policy to care. One of the guys who asked if I needed help also followed up with another patron to see if she had found what she was looking for. Maybe things are changing. Since this so called "virus" was announced by the government, not only have I notice but several other people have also noticed that Walmart in every location seems to be the main store that has continued to be out of everything a customer can need, including things that have nothing to do with the made up virus. Now Walmart has decided that they want to make things even harder on the customers so they've decided that they are going to keep track of how many customers go in and out of their store. If that isn't bad enough, now they are making the customers wait in line, outside in the cold, until they feel enough people have come out of the store before they will let more people in the store. We have decided that we would rather go to a store, Meijer and Costco, and pay a little more for the products we need and be treated like our business matters to these two stores rather then continue going to Walmart where we never know from one minute to the next if we're going to have to jump through even more hoops to get the items we need. It used to be such a better store. The manager needs to be moved. We used to have such a beautiful store filled with happy people. Now we are getting an inner city store filled with miserable people. Your team is split into two groups. One group of angry people who are miserable working or the other group of people who are saying forget it and just letting life and stuff happen. This review is about the employee that I encountered. Her name is Olshianna Doss. I went to Walmart in Valpo to grocery shop after having a horrendous day. I had a very large list of things that I had to get. I went to self check. The machine was acting up and every three items that needed to be scanned locked up the machine. So, I kept doing it and Olshianna came and put her code in. She asked me if I wanted to go to a different machine and offered to help in a few other ways that I don't remember. I said no, and finally after a few more times with the same error code I said to my son, "I'm about to leave all of this here." She said "I can't let you leave" and scanned all of my items and joked with me until I laughed. It was great. Walmart has an notorious, big box reputation filled with negativity. I work construction. I was late getting home and didn't have any options for dinner. I load the kids up in the truck and spend an hour walking through Wal-Mart looking for items. There is no rhyme or reason to have crap so spread out and disorganized. Hard to see the shelves when every isle has an employee with boxes strewn all over the place. I had to grab an item off a shelf that was blocked by an employeee. She was literally standing in front of the item. I said, excuse me I need to grab that. She did not move a muscle. So me being the gentleman I am, I carefully grabbed the item without bumping her nose with my arm. Once again, no reaction from her. I go to check out. 2 lanes open with long lines. Thanksgiving is a week away. 2 lines with people preparing for a holiday. I opted for the self check out. I'm walking out and I get stopped to check my items in the cart vs what's on my receipt. I lose it right there. You have me ring up and bag my own sh*t because no lines are open but you stop me to make sure you didn't get ripped off? I obtained a full refund for my items at the customer service desk. I'll never shop there again. I've never been belittled and treated like a thief when I did YOUR job and PAID you in full for it. read more

Went in last night, the ice cream coolers were half out from a refrigerator leak. Normally, if stores do not have room for things to be stocked in the coolers up front they keep the extras in the back and will have no problem helping with looking for something, or even going to get it. Talked to one lady, she had no clue how to use the English language, so I could not understand a word she was saying. So I proceeded to go to another man. He was sticking. Ignored me the first time I said "excuse me, sir" finally I said "excuse me!" And he turned around very rudely, and as I asked him if he currently had something, or could help me find it, before I was finished with my sentence, he interrupted and said "if it's not out, we do not have it" , turned away and continued what he was doing. Being in a union family, I tend to stay away from Walmart, but I gave it a shot, and had the worst customer service I've ever had. I do not recommend asking these workers for anything. read more

Some of their prices are good, some are actually high if you compare. Hate that they only keep a couple of lines open with live employees to check out and expect everyone to use the self-checkout lanes, which don't even work very well. I hate coming to this store. I have to buy a couple of items here because they are not available elsewhere. The service is pretty poor and forget the self serve line the machines never work. My husband enjoys the whipped topping cakes and decided to order one for a birthday. When we arrived there was no cake so he purchased a chocolate cake. When we got home we realized that there was a piece of caking missing. It appeared as if someone had taken a bite. Though they took it back without a problem we bought one elsewhere. The cashiers are careless - I decided to buy a couple of blouses while I was waiting in line. The cashier shoved them into a bag, and over charged my checking account on the machine which took several weeks to correct and now I cannot use checks at stores that use the same check processing company. We thought it would be better to go late at night and avoid the noisy and rude crowds. It was a bad choice, the creepiest people shop late. read more

I pay completely out of pocket for my medicine so I heard Wal Mart was going to be the Cheapest and checked availability and price and they came at about 40.00 cheaper that the Pharmacy I usually go to so the Portage Wal Mart sent me to this one in Valpo, about 15 miles out of my way, but to save 40 bucks it still seemed ok. I went in on 7/15/2016 and signed up as a new customer, they took my prescription and set me up for pick up on the 18th...sounded easy enough. HOWEVER I get a call from the Pharmacist at Wal Mart this morning telling me to come pick up my prescription, shes not filling it, it aint happening.....THESE ARE HER WORDS!! THIS IS WHAT SHE TOLD ME!!!!! I was stunned to say the least, I was so mad I was speeding to get there to get my script back and get more of an explaination and when I got there she thought she was going to just drop the script in front of me and that was it, no I wanted an explaination, so she told me it was too high of a doseage.....wait a minute....The DOCTOR Prescribes and the Pharmacist fills right??? Apparantly MS Terry Lewis thinks shes god. Never had a problem at Walgreens, never had a problem at CVS getting the SAME MEDS and doseage. Just the attitude of this particular Pharmist is repulsive to me.
