After today's drive up pickup order experience, I will actively be avoiding giving this location my business. I am a target circle 360 member and routinely place pickup and delivery orders as I have two young children which are difficult to shop with in store. I have only ever picked up an order ONE time from here as I do not live in this area, but find myself here temporarily as my family and I have been displaced following an emergency at our home. Due to being on an important call the entire way to the store to pickup my order, I wasn't able to hit 'I'm on my way' in app, which has happened before at other locations never with ANY issue. I get to this location and park in spot #1, and hit 'I'm here'. I expected it would take some time because I didn't let the store know I was on the way, but being the only car there I didn't think it would take 20 minutes. Regardless, when the team member arrived at my car I was courteous and didn't complain. I open my trunk and give her my pickup number as she begins throwing my order in the trunk and without as much as a hello begins to LECTURE me about the inconvenience I've caused through not hitting 'I'm on my way', how they have to meet certain metrics and I need to do that in the future (there won't be a future because I don't live in the area, and even if I did I would never return here). I apologize and tell her it's been a very difficult morning and I forgot to do that while distracted by my situation and my small children crying in the car. Instead of stopping, she continued to express her frustration with how I should have hit 'I'm on my way' and how NEXT time I need to do that. She left my trunk open when done, no thank you, nothing but complete disgust and attitude. Please note that this is a representation of your store. It is completely unacceptable to behave that way, especially not knowing what people may be experiencing in their personal lives already. I've called the manager and talked to them about this situation, and although I appreciate her apologizing, she also defended the fact that this store strictly reinforces notifying the store when you're on your way, even going so far as saying they give people NOTES and printouts about how it's important to let the store know you're on the way...lol. You shouldn't have anyone on the way to your store period with the lack of professionalism and appreciation for your customers. Yuck. read more

My experience is honestly awful. I feel robbed and disgusted. I bought 2k 25 for ps5, a brand new game in the wrapper a $75 game. Drove home, opened it up it literally has the wrong game, top spin 25, whatever that is. I call the electronics section right away, tell them what happened. They told me there was one 2k left and they were putting it aside for me and I could come in and get that fixed. I drove all the way back went straight to electronics they told me I had to repurchase the new copy, I asked why I couldn't do an even exchange they said since I opened the first copy I had to take it to customer service to get my money back. So that's what I did. Now this part is a nightmare I have no words due to this unprofessionalism. At customer service they called over a manager because it's an opened game, and instantly the manager is telling me no because the game is opened it's their policy. If you open the game you CANNOT get your money back. I'm like listen I opened this brand new game and this is what was inside, she insinuated that I could have put a different game. Lol that's when I got upset, and so frustrated. I can't get my money back, acting like I'm a thief, and I just purchased a second copy. She was so rude to me and unapologetic. At this point I feel like I'm being treated like a villan and liar. I ask if there's someone above her she says I'm the highest one here, I'm like what do I do. She gives me a target hotline to call, thanks for nothing lady. I go straight to electronics to try and resolve this situation. They were honestly great over there, they were so nice and apologetic but unfortunately nothing they could do. At this point I have 2k 25 with the wrong game, and a brand new copy. I go up to the manager, I say I want to return the new 2k I just purchased a second time because I don't want to business with your establishment. I said but they did open it at electronics because they wanted to make sure the right copy was inside. She says I could get my money back because I didn't leave the store and opened it. lol so before I leave to store l should open all my items in front of their face so Im not scammed out of my money??? I'm far from confrontational and I'm very upset and I leave. I'm sick to my stomach because I'm painted to be liar, and I'm out $75. I call the hotline they tell me they should have even exchanged the game for me, I said it's against their policy. He tells me no, that wasn't right and he's issuing a complaint about that location. He told me unfortunately I have to call a that location to try and get money back. So I call unfortunately, I called for over 2 hours to finally get ahold of another manager. I explain the situation again and what the hotline said. They could care less talking to me absolutely rude no care or sympathy. The managers there are so rude unprofessional, I'm sorry management if an establishment stole your money you would try to get it back. I asked what do I do? You guys are not helping you stole my money! You're stealing! She says you can try the hotline lol, I called the lady out for being rude ... she said she wasn't trying be.. but clearly you are, you're annoyed I'm calling and asking for a solution. She hangs up on me, again unprofessional. so essentially I feel robbed, I feel so dirty about this situation. I will not step foot in this establishment ever again. I recommend not supporting people who steal your money, I don't care about policy, I literally received the wrong game. If you do purchase anything from there i recommend maybe holding up the line and opening everything, making sure your product is correct so that way you are not being stolen from. Never purchase a game from target if you do, open it in front of their faces before walking out. The way I was treated and this was handled is wrong and this establishments management should be ashamed of their professionalism and how they talk to be people. I will no longer shop at Target or Kohl's because of their co-ed dressing rooms. This is unsafe for women and girls. I thought these woke companies claim to support women? I LOVE the Valpo Target. It is always very clean, well stocked, and I've never had a bad experience with any of their employees. The man who was working the customer service booth the other day too was super nice and friendly, and I think I had the most easiest return of my life there. Whenever I'm in the region I always make sure to stop by and pick up my essentials there. You can also get 10% off if you buy 6 bottles of wine or more plus 5% off if you have the Target RedCard. Needless to say, I know where to stock up in the future! read more

If I could give it a zero, I would, I have been a customer for years as well as several members in my family, but recently I have seen some disturbing things in the store, so I will no longer be shopping there or getting my glasses there or my families glasses. I believe everyone has a choice and I respect that, that being said, I also have a choice and an opinion. I don't believe in all this pride and transgender that is happening and I can't bring myself to even understand the mind set of someone that believes that a male can transgender to female; I am against stores/organizations forcing young impressable children that this is ok. They are way too young at 4/5 to even know they have that choice. Someone is giving these young impressable children these ideas. Also, the teaching of annal sex and putting them in stores to teach about transgender, totally wrong, so I hereby declare my protest against these types of stores, that I and my family will no longer support, it goes against everything I believe in and is my right. read more

Why would you put your pick up area literally 2 blocks from the main door? Then when no one is watching employees hang out people's cars in the parking lot instead of getting items for customers. This obviously a huge lack of oversight by management. Seems as though the drive up portion of the business is ran by the kids that bring the items out. The only redeeming quality is items can be picked up same day. read more

The prices aren't bad, but the looooong lines to buy merchandise, even on a routine day, are ridiculous. When the store opened, employees would open another register if there were more than a few people in line. That doesn't seem to be the case now. read more

The lines to the back of there store are to be expected this time of year, but target was doing nothing to control this line. Over the years that I've lived in Valpo, I've always had issues with this store. From unfriendly employees, to dirty and unorganized shelves, this store has it all. I've only been in a few times since the pandemic and thank God they have delivery and curbside pickup because it's not clean inside. But the reason I'm coming here to write a review is because of the employees smoking section directly outside the store. If you are a mom with little kids, you know you can only get up onto the curb with the kids in the cart at specific parts where there is a ramp to get on the sidewalk. Everyone who comes here knows how busy the parking lot is. So most moms park way far away from the door and get their kids in the cart in the parking lot. That leaves only one spot to roll up onto the sidewalk to get inside. That is off to the left of the entrance. Well, that's where you can find all the employees on their smoke break at any given time. There is always someone out there smoking. Can't they move you guys to the back of the store where you aren't blowing smoke into the faces of all the children who have to roll by in the carts? I know you can't change the layout of the parking lot or the congestion in this area of Valpo. But you can make sure your employees are smoking elsewhere. A good rule of thumb is that your customers should never see your employees on their breaks. Especially not if they're smoking. I am sure this isn't what corporate has in mind. read more

This Target location is great! The employees are usually friendly. The location is usually clean and organized. The back right area of the store has a lot of clothing clearance. Target often runs gift card specials, and I appreciate that! The back left part of the store is where seasonal (or clearance after a season) is kept. There is a Starbucks in this location. read more

This location's management has a long way to go when dealing with people. Leading people along and then turning them away just to avoid any need to demonstrate their managerial skills is absolutely unacceptable behavior. the store is perfect, clean and organized. i had a problem with my phone and devin great employee for target to have., helped me get it fixed and now it works perfectly. the store employees are very nice and helpful. this store is an a+ to shop, instead of the walmart down the street that is dirty and digusting and the employees would not help you if you fell down in front of them. read more

Most of the time I would choose Target over Walmart or even Kohls. I like the quality and price of everything I but because it does not feel cheap.
