I wish I could leave zero stars this store is trash.. no cashiers 2 self checkout lines the manger should be on a damn register .. this line is down to the middle of the store but employees walking by the long line saying I'm going on break this store doesn't have any organization and lacks a better management team .. I will never come back and I live close by Fayetteville Walmart is nicer and cleaner save yourself time and a better experience

Check out lines so long they spill into the aisles

If I could give this walmart zero stars I would. This store is the absolute worst. I have to pack my patience every time I come in here. It doesn't matter when you come in, there are never enough check out lanes open & the lines are sometimes so long that they spill into the clothing racks. Depending on what time of day/night you shop there are often times no lanes open at all, only self check out...also with a ridiculously long line spilling into the aisles. I don't feel like I should have to shop for my items AND be forced to check myself out too like I'm all of a sudden a walmart employee. Don't dare need help with something or need to ask a question, good luck finding an employee knowledgeable enough to help. There are piles & piles of boxes & palettes blocking the aisles at night, frozen items like ice cream that have been thawed & refrozen, the bathrooms are disgusting, the parking lot is trashed & poorly lit. I've given this store several chances & every time it's the same thing. It's really a shame that I have to drive out of my way to a different location when I need to shop at Wal-Mart. This Union City store is pure garbage!

The next day, I realized I made a mistake in the wording on the cake so I called and spoke to a bakery associate. She took down the new information stating she would make the changes and take care of it. At pick up, the cake was already boxed. Being Publix, I didn't feel the need to look at it. I was sure it was perfect. Well, the employee encouraged me to at least open the top to make sure it's the right cake. So glad I did! That's when I realized a key component of the cake was missing. Thankfully, there was someone in the bakery who could fix the issue. However, that evening when I completely unboxed the cake for the party, I realized the other issues. 1. The error I made and called in to correct, wasn't. 2. The bottom part of the cake was not all as it was supposed to be. The cake I ordered was multi colored with different piping and details. Mine was just all the same frosting and color. 3. The cake itself had flaws throughout the 2 tiers and 4. The board the cake was sitting on was smeared with chocolate frosting that looked like someone tried to wipe off but then gave up. The cake I ordered was $89.99. I gladly paid that price because of the cute details which made the cake. All of which were left off or poorly executed. I did return to Publix the next day with pictures. The Bakery Manager quickly acknowledged the poor execution of what I ordered and offered a full refund. I didn't feel right about a full refund because we still ate and enjoyed the cake. We agreed to half. So moral of the story....PLEASE take the cake completely out of the box before leaving the bakery. No matter how big of a pain it seems to be. And, I would probably pick up a day sooner than needed to have time to fix any issues.

I knew I should have went to the one in Peachtree City, but Tyrone was near my house. I went to the Bakery to look for a cake and found what I needed. There was no one in the department, however, a gentleman was walking by and we locked eyes, hence why he didn't have any other choice to help. I asked if he could write a name on the cake. The gentleman proceed to say the Bakery was closed (this was at 2:30 PM on 10/12/25). He said he would put the name, but he wasn't an artist. I said that was fine, nothing special needed. After I wrote the correct spelling down, he went to the rear of the area, where his manager I. believe was putting away boxes or product. I heard her say something because he must have went over and told her I needed a name on a cake. After he walked back, he proceeded to mop an area. He then came over to me asking something and I IMMEDIATELY told him, I will go to another Publix. I then put back everything in my car and headed out the door. I could not believe he DID NOT wash his hands or change his gloves. Before I left to go OUT OF MY WAY to yet another Publix, I went to customer service and spoke with the assistant store manager. I was visibly upset. I told him what happened using expletives because I could not believe what TF happened. He then asked if the staff was able to resolve it for me. I looked at him with pure disdain. OF COURSE NOT!! Your store is disgusting! To even think I would have you touch my cake with hands that was just mopping the floor, No way!! Supposedly, he went to address the situation and I left the store. I ended up driving to the Publix in Peachtree City to get what I needed. The young woman , who was packing bred, immediately stopped and asked me what I needed. I told her a name on the cake and she went right to work. Stick with your first instinct!! I cannot believe the Publix in Tyrone did that. I go to the Tyrone Publix LITERALLY every other day. I spend too much money for (1) bad customer service (2) people that value basic common sense and hand hygiene.

The only thing that stood out to me was that the two managers (two white gentlemen) near the entrance didn't acknowledge or greet customers as I walked in, which is unusual for Publix. However, the rest of my experience more than made up for it. I want to give a special shout-out to Precious in the deli. She was handling a very busy rush by herself, helping multiple customers, answering questions, and keeping everything moving with a smile. When it was my turn, she took the time to help me decide between different sides, gave her honest recommendations, and never made me feel rushed. Her positive attitude and outstanding customer service really stood out. The cashier who checked me out and the gentleman who bagged my groceries were also friendly and professional. Overall, this was a great shopping experience, thanks to employees like Precious. I'll definitely be back.

You used to be able to count on Publix being the only store where prices were correct but I guess times have changed. The one saving grace is that if you do catch an incorrect price, they are usually willing to fix it. So I'd say overall the service is ok. The atmosphere is definitely better than Kroger and Walmart in our area but generally just acceptable. The quality of the products is ok but that quality is outweighed by the high prices and by incorrect prices at checkout. I wish I could say I loved this store but unfortunately I only come here because it's the closest bearable option in my neighborhood. If you come here, you'll most likely find what you need and the quality will be pretty ok, but I really wish they would check their prices more carefully and stop raising them so sky high.

I decided to pay this store a visit because I haven't been in it since it was renovated and changed names. The looks are pleasing. Interesting color scheme. Black and Red. The store has everything you need for the most part. The only problem is the expense. Everything in here is a dollar or two more than other stores. I feel like this store is strictly for the neighborhood people and the convenience. Years ago you could find a lot of cheap items in this store when it was Way field but I get it. They now have specialty items and a better selection of some foods. They have a salad bar, hot food bar and a sandwich making station. I purchased and 8 piece smoke chicken and some bread pudding. The chicken was seasoned, tender and juicy. I paired it with a nice salad. The bread pudding was like home. Not overly sweet and the perfect consistency. I wished I had bought another one. When the oxtails and other meat go on sale the meat is not quality. It seems as if they are trying to get rid of poor quality meat, There is so much fat on the meat that it is not worth the money they are asking. I can say that the fresh squeezed orange juice is very good. The service from that racist manager Ann is ridiculous. Not sure if she is still employed there but she ensured that the most professional and kindest person Lamott was transferred to another store. Everyone loved Lamott because he ensured that as a customer you were satisfied and well taken care of as a customer. If an item on the shelf was mispriced , Ann would not honor the price because it was an error. When an item is mis-priced on the shelf, then it is not the customers fault and should be given to the customer at the price that is marked. There is an alternative school that is up the street from the store which brought in younger black males in the morning hours. Ann would always make distasteful comments about them and asked you to watch them closely when they shopped. She made snide comments saying, why do they wear their pants like that? When the white kids from the academy shopped their, she was all smiles and never one negative comment. Customers would wait in my line for check out because I was a real peoples person and always made them laugh, when the other lines were much shorter. Ann stated to me that I talked too much. WTF. I gave the customers an experience when they shopped, and if they did not mind waiting then why was it a concern. She hired none black high school kids with no experience at a rate higher than she did experienced older black women. I do and did understand her train of thought. Ann definitely gave people of color less respect, especially if they were using food stamps as their payment source. She would make unprofessional comments about what they were purchasing and the amount of food stamps they had in their possession. Was this not monthly revenue for the business ? I wonder if she has made a positive change ? Probably not. I will not shop there as long as she remains employed there.
