I am wondering if computers are replacing humanity.On my third to last visit to this establishment after being in a massive car accident and needing prescribed pain meds , the pharmacist who was 8 minutes from her lunch break happily quipped " can't help you ! I'm going to lunch !" and bounced away not even taking my prescription. Today I though I scheduled my mom and aunt to be vaccinated. The pharmacist said " sorry can't help you , your appointment is not in the system " I took my mom and aunt home , went back into my phone , made the appointments, got confirmation numbers and went back . " sorry can't help you , we don't have any availability!!!!" Now since I don't work for CVS and don't know their lingo I left pretty pissed off . The service there is piss poor . They seem to be forgetting their humanity . Tomorrow will be my last visit . read more

Honestly, I only find the need to visit yelp for my personal benefit from other people's experiences. This time however, I'd like to be of helpful service to anybody that finds the need to visit this location. Suggestion: DONT. Truly bad service. A few great folks that work there but all together, poorly operated. I've been visiting this location because of their proximity to my home but I'm more than willing to drive 10, 15 or 20 more minutes just to maintain my sanity. This place is horrible. I am senior citizen and I have been a CVS customer for 15 yrs or more, but as soon as I can find another location near me, I am going to change where I shop, and most definitely, where I obtain my prescriptions. I moved to this area in October 2013, and out of convenience, I started using store #5725. I am not exaggerating when I say I used the Pharmacy (3) times, and all three experiences have been less than pleasant. The Store (#2087 -3930 Shallowford Road in Marietta), is the one I had used prior to me moving here to Union City. I must say, they were absolutely excellent in every way possible. They were friendly, helpful and most of all, always very professional. I never had to hassle with them about a prescription on things like, calling my doctor, or just to get clarification of something. The people in this store are not the least bit cordial, friendly or even professional in my opinion. When the pharmacy people wait on you, they just do not greet you warmly, or cordially. Oftentimes, you have to wait for them to come to the window and they show any sense of urgency. My most recent visit on Tuesday, I dropped off a prescription from my doctor for my Migraine headache. To start, the young woman said they did not have the medication, and it had to be ordered, and gave the prescription back to me and suggested I go somewhere else. Further, my doctor uses a printed prescription on cut paper, and I have never had a problem with the CVS store on Shallowford Road reading it, or indicating all of the required information was not printed on it. I asked her if the prescription had everything on it to properly fill the order, she said the paper was cut off, but everything needed was there. Therefore, I asked her, well than what is the problem. Mind you, I am in excruciating pain and I do not have time, nor do I want to drive around searching for another Pharmacist (that would have to history on me or my medications). Again, in my 15 years of dealing with CVS, I never had the pharmacy tell me to go somewhere to get a prescription filled. After I asked her if the normal procedure was for them to contact my doctor and clear up any problems, and to try and fill it for me, she then checked with one of her co-workers, and said they would call my doctor. Of course, I left with the uncertain feeling that they would not follow through and I would have to follow up - which I did, even after me asking, if I needed to call them or would they call me with an update. Finally, after calling back twice the following day, and after contacting my doctor (and asking them to call the store); it was finally ready around 3:00 on Wednesday. Even then, they could not give me an exact time it would be ready, and told me to just come by in about 30 minutes. Frankly, my observation is that, the level of service and quality of the staff you have in your stores in "blue collar" neighborhoods are less than desired. In the Northern suburbs in general, and at the Shallowford Road store in particular, the people there were far more professional, courteous and friendly. This not the fault of CVS, as much as it is the problem (overall) when you try to employ black people from the locations where your stores located. I see the same problem at other stores, like Wal-Mart, Kroger, the fast food stores, etc. It just seems that the expectation of these people is not very high when it comes to representing your brand. I do not knowing it's a case of training, or a lack of, or if it's just that the people who work at stores like yours in black neighborhoods are incapable of being professional. The poor service does not just end at the pharmacy. I do not shop in the store anymore, because the lines are "always" long and the clerks are generally just like the ones at the pharmacy window. I am going to do some research, and hopefully I can find a Walgreens store near me that I can do business with. One that will make me feel like a valued customer and not like I am inconveniencing them. Please note that the references I made earlier to black folk, can be made in a frank and honest way, since I am an African American. This is the worst CVS location anywhere. The pharmacy staff is rude and unhelpful. Try to call them, Be prepared to be listening to music for 30 minutes. Be assured if you get a person, they won't be friendly or knowledgeable. Been waiting a week for them to order a drug. Even called corporate but can't get a response there either. read more

I strongly dislike this dang on CVS. I wouldn't go as far as saying ratchet but after my experience today, I think this term best fits as well as unprofessional. I have given this CVS three attempts prior to writing this review. I only chose to stop at this CVS because it's the most convenient CVS that is open on the drive home from work. My first stop here, they had everything except the face wash I normally buy at the CVS by my house. I sucked it up, not their fault... I figured same as in retail, different stores offer different selections; however, it was the reaction of the cashier checking out that made me feel I didn't want to return. I couldn't get my keys out my bag fast enough so I used the CVS app from my phone. For some reason it wouldn't scan so he gave attitude and said he can't scan so I can't use my card (mind you I had $$$ reward bucks I wanted to use) I eventually got my keys which had fallen to the bottom of my bag so either way I needed to get them. Used the card and still I had more attitude when I asked to apply the $$$ to my purchase. Second stop, I came in to pick up some cards for friends and family and eye wash for contacts, picked up something drink too since I was feeling sleepy still and had a ways to go before I got home. I saw the cashier up front then I didn't see her. I searched the entire store, just to find her coming out of the back area moving at such a glacial pace. I advised I was ready to check out. I stood out the way of the current customer who'd placed all 'umpteenth items on the counter to wait in line. After ringing up her items, I attempted to step up but another customer stepped up before I did (mind you she saw me waiting with everything in hand and she knew I was waiting because I had to find her to advise I'm ready to checkout). When my turn came, there was no apology no friendly gesture no greeting just simply jumped to "you got your card" and "your total on the screen" ... At this point I wish I had cash bc I did not want to swipe my card. Lastly, my final visit. I came in for a card for my grandma and Chapstick. I remember the cashier from my second visit. Thought she would be friendly this visit, sadly mistaken I was. Before I approached the registrar she was on the phone with a personal call advising whomever about her cousin and whomever who having a cookout and if they will be there and so forth. I was hoping the elderly woman who was working was going to check me out but she'd closed her line to finish other tasks. I approached Cashier Ratchet line, gave my card, and I advised no bag is needed since it's just a card and Chapstick. Attitude body language! She still put the items in the bag and left it on the counter as I swiped my card. I really didn't need it so I gave it back and said thank you. Again, attitude body language! Three times, I've experienced bad customer service. I refer so many friends, family, coworkers, and others to seek care and shopping at CVS. I understand the location I frequent might have great customer service in my eyes, but what about the other locations? Am I letting them down? I feel they need to send their employees at this location back to training or maybe I should seek shopping experience elsewhere? Walgreens is a heck of a closer to home and work, and they are open 24-hours. read more

This location is always busy and some times a lttle cluttered (Mainly due to stocking) when I come in. I have come here so many times recently that I seem to notice that this store is not always as clean as some stores around the area. But it's busy so that I probaby why it's a little messy. They always have what I am in need of so I would continue to shop here from time to times. read more

This is a horrible cvs. The associates are so unprofessional. Whether its the cashier or the pharmacist you will have a problem. No one does their job. Its truly ridiculous. I will definitely not be shopping here ever again. read more
