Store has always been great, with a couple of exceptions. One issue is trying to find things. Staff doesn't know their own inventory or the location of things. They always have to go to the store app on their phone. Why did I even ask? I could have done that! Worse still is the Walmart app often has bad information. Sometimes the aisle listed doesn't even exist! This is of course a corporate issue. But staff has always been friendly and competent at checkout. Off-duty LE presence is a big plus. The parking lot is a bit of a zoo as people have said. The area right in front of the store just isn't big enough for the number of customers. There are of course acres and acres of parking farther out, but you're going to have to walk some distance. It's just the layout of the property. read more

With the sheriff's department presence and police cameras set up in the parking lot, this location has become much safer to shop at, which is definitely appreciated. Unfortunately, the parking lot is almost always trashed, and parking itself is limited due to the high number of people coming through. That said, the selection inside is vast, and the prices are decent, making it a worthwhile stop despite the parking challenges. read more

Walmart is my place for weekly grocery shopping because of its location and affordability. In addition to the groceries some of my favorite shirts are from here too! The layout of the store is effective and I have never had a problem shopping here. The return line is usually a long wait time, though this is usually dependent upon the customers and not the workers. This is my favorite Walmart in Tucson, and is a one-stop shop for weekly shopping. read more

This person ELISE refuses to do their job. Feels entitled to just stand around and look at that device in hand. You see her run,she's lazy . She can also get you banned from the store , so run. The manager TARA is that much better. I think Walmart really needs to think about the people that they hire because they're not very friendly or helpful or have good customer skills and none of them are on the same page ,as to what their job duties are. Stopped by the bakery to place a cupcake order and spoke to Paul. I told him I needed to place an order for cupcakes for Saturday and his response " Oh I have too many orders for Saturday "....... I asked how much in advance do you all require to place an order and his response " 24 hours"... I will take my money elsewhere and won't recommend place cake orders at this location !!!! Not the customers fault that you have a bunch of orders. TODAY IS THURSDAY PAUL !!! SMH.. Update: Spoke to Manager Jackie and she confirm that 24 hours is required, but depending on what orders they have to fill, they don't take orders. Maybe require a week notice instead of 24 hours if you're not going to honor it. read more

Well , guess I'm here to raise the bar. I came in to put new batteries in my watches. I have a small collection from travel. But I only get a year or so on a Battery. The technician that does watches every day did mine and each battery was the same price. Under 7.00. So I was comfortable with her expertise and demeanor. A super Walmart is the least expensive way to have a new battery put in. I usually go in after a half dozen or so that stop and I have to wear the same watch every day. I collect when I travel. It's really unfortunate that this is my local Walmart, because I will never be coming back there again. I was looking for a specific item and had trouble finding it, and right next to me was a woman typing on her little tablet wearing a Walmart vest so I went up and asked for her help. She was immediately visibly annoyed and blurts out "WHAT" when I asked for her help. She was a woman probably in her 50s with longer black hair. she got mad at me and told me that I shouldn't be asking her for help because she "isn't clocked in ". How am I supposed to know that? If you're walking around Walmart with a vest on and you're not clocked in that isn't a customer's fault. i've worked in the retail and hospitality industry for years, and I get that it can be annoying to help customers, but if she hates her job then maybe she shouldn't have chosen to work there. I have never been talked to the way that that woman spoke to me. read more

They don't stay open the posted hours for pharmacy and I've been waiting here for 25 minutes for my credit card I left an ATM machine that gives you the money before you take your card out which is a problem but I've been waiting here 20 minutes for the lady to go get my card that is locked up that's ridiculous read more

In the deli department- they do wear gloves but then proceed to touch other non food items like personal cell phones, then go back to touching the food. I don't think any of them have an actual food handlers card. That's disgusting and won't be ordering deli foods anymore! The health department needs to investigate and shut down fast! read more

I've been trying to stream for almost 2 weeks now. I visited Walmart electronics around noon yesterday. I spoke with Jason, who was wearing a Premier shirt so I thought he would know what he was talking about. I told him my troubles with streaming, gave my address and he assured me there was plenty of coverage. I came home, after 3 attempts I couldn't get streaming without buffering. I texted Jason, who when he sold me phone, offered his number for assistance if I needed. No help. I finally got through T Mobile and was advised there is no coverage for just streaming! Now I'm told I have to drive 2 hours to return phone to same location! What!! Your employee deliberately lied to me to make a sale and now I'm supposed to spend 60.00 in gas returning to same Walmart! That is not right! I'm still making calls to correct that. T Mobile couldn't send me return because purchased at Walmart. Not right. I get deceived purposely and I have to cover the cost is not good customer service. I tried calling, finally after being transferred 15 times to electronics, store where I bought phone and manager slipped Jason has done that before???? And I should pay?? Once again, they use the excuse "the health department says " - this is not true; I've been to two training where this specific topic iss brought up. This place is so bad. I still go because I need something. However, there's no one on the floor to help shoppers. They also leave pallets all over the floor blocking lanes. Not too.shabby of a store. We stopped in too kill some time and went in to see what's been added since the last time we were in. Aha! Look what Christmas goodies I saw! Some slippers that look like some cave person looking toes, lol. Oh and a wierd crazy sweater but the winner of Ugly Christmas sweater/clothing contests goes to those UGLY sport coat/jacket! They even come with a tie! I know these babies will win a prize at some party. You never know what you'll find here. Yup, I found a few stocking stuffers for sure. I also found those cute Harry Potter Hallmark ornaments. You bet I bought those for my tree. We did some grocery shopping and even though the produce and fruit area seems a bit small for a store this size we found what we needed for dinner. The rest of the grocery area is pretty much like other stores but this Walmart Super Center has loads of food products. I do enjoy the camping / outdoor area. We've been looking for some "reclining " camp chairs and we finally found them here. Score! This store also has a very large selection of Wildcat clothing. The only thing I have negative about this store is parking. You have to drive around to find a spot and have patience. Sure, we'll stop by again. read more

This is unfortunately the Walmart closest to me. I put up with this store for far too long. The employees are rude from management on down. Half of my things were always out of stock and the substitutions horrible, as they never went by my preferences. For some reason, more than half the time, they delivered my order to the wrong address and tried to argue with me when I had the pictures of where the orders were delivered! I was actually told to walk around my neighborhood and try to find the locations! Apparently, you not only have to pay for any price adjustment in the substitutions now, but if you complain about anything, they want it brought back in order to issue a refund. (This is, I'm assuming, Walmart's new policy.) There's a reason why I get delivery, I don't drive. Luckily, I switched to the Speedway/Kolb store and have had no problems at all. read more

This Walmart puts D in dirty. It is disorganized, filthy, never stocked and it rarely if ever has carts. In fact I took 2 pictures 45 minutes apart and still no carts. When I talked to the managers one claimed they have no carts, thought the parking lot will tell you a different story, and the other manager said they are just too busy to get carts, hardly anyone in line! Talking to walmart managers is like talking to a child. They get anxious, uptight, and start lying. They are never stalked and I have never seen a manager that was kind in any way. I like this Walmart, but I wish the parking were better. I have never come here during a day and time when it wasn't a burden to park. Maybe that's my luck, or maybe it's because this is in a great central location. The store is really big. It can be very difficult to navigate around, which makes it kind of a burden to shop at if you are looking for just one or two items. The one thing this location has in comparison to others is that it has a photo development department. As far as I know, this is the only one in town that does it. read more

This is a new Walmart and therefore very clean, bright, well-stocked, and pleasant to shop in. It's a Supercenter, so it has the built-in grocery store, as large as any major grocer. You know, a place where can you buy bananas, motor oil, and underwear all on one transaction. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to get to coming off of Broadway. I'm really wondering what all the fuss was about with the adjoining neighborhood. Really. What were their complaints all about? They brought up various concerns and scenarios, most of which I think were imagined. The clientele I saw in this Walmart was typical for the mall. Definitely more upscale than the clientele at the Walmart near me. There is a 10 foot wall delineating the mall and the neighborhood with mature trees and other vegetation. I observed nothing that if I were living in a house next to the parking lot on the other side of the tall wall with tall trees and mature vegetation covering would concern me the least bit. And it is really strange and hypocritical that since they were politically denied a liquor license, you can buy your groceries there, but you can go to the other side of the mall and get your liquor at the Target. ??? Go figure. (And I do not consume liquor.) I recommend shopping here. Walmart inventory, Walmart pricing, and the service I received was friendly. read more

I have been to this Walmart twice now, each time to pick up a single item and be on my way. Each time I left empty handed, as keeping the shelves stocked is apparently about as difficult for these people as splitting the atom. It's probably just as well, because by the time I made my way from the pharmacy to the cashiers on my way out the door, I saw that the lines were so long that it would have taken me another half hour just to pay for the item Walmart did not want me to have. Walmart came to El Con Mall.close to home and Reid park. The food there is good lots to choice from and seems not everything is there like fry's has. That okay for me. Only thing is middle of aisle pellets that makes walkway with shopping carts People coming left to right honk horn crash. The rest of store is good and there is back of the store cashier another exit instead of enter front of building. The back is little distance walk to parking lots. If you are up for walking and avoid the crowd then exit the rear,there are four cashiers. Good deli there and meats. Want party trays they have then, I order that before and find it really good. Inventory incorrect online. Inefficient store set up, as you HAVE to go through a line or through the self check-out area to exit. The customer service in this store is terrible while talking the associates they give you a short answer and walk away as if you weren't just talking to them. Fresh, clean, new. This store is a bit smaller than the mega versions, but I think that makes it better because you don't have to walk an entire football field if you forgot the butter. Employees are actually nice at this location too, asking me if I needed help, and the checkout clerks are super nice too. I've been trying to shop at this location, it won't take Chase cards, they give you stupid excuses like, it must be chip, your card must be locked, and it's all lies. Just chalk it up to the incompetent Management, who don't get the POS repaired, and don't no how to run a store. The price on the shelf was not what I was charged. When I asked the clerk, he said the price on the shelf was wrong, and sent me to customer service. After a 20-minute wait in line, I find out it will take a week for the refund to be processed. I spoke to the manager, who said there was nothing she could do because the clerk was supposed to contact her about it in the first place, but now it was too late. Very, very poor. I'm typically a Target shopper. One trip to Walmart reminds me why. I needed motor oil and to know where it was. When I walked in, there were two "greeters" who couldn't be bothered with my presence -- their conversation was far too important. So I wandered around, missing most of the box obstacles lazily dumped in the aisles. I got into the automotive section, but couldn't find the exact oil (Mobil 1 0/40). I found someone to ask and he was helpful and knew right where it was. One win for Walmart! And the price... couldn't beat it. So two wins. All of that boils down to when I feel exceptionally cheap and frugal again, I'll be back to dodge more random boxes! read more

I'd give this Walmart Supercenter more than three stars if their selection of some staples like yogurt was better. I think Walmart corporate limits selection of some food items as a way to make customers go to their Neighborhood Markets scattered through the city. At night, my biggest complaint is the lighting outside. It's so dark in the parking lot! Even their sign is backlit and hard to see. Target at the other end of El Con is better lit than that... so is the Neighborhood Market on Grant and Alvernon! read more

Went yesterday. This seems to not be a real Superstore. There seems to be no flow or rhyme or reason to the layout of this store...or maybe it's just me. Employees were busy stocking shelves and racks, so boxes and dollys were everywhere making it difficult to navigate. Isn't stocking supposed to be done on late shift? Finally my pet peeve, no electric carts. I have a disorder that makes balance difficult and I use oxygen. All carts being used by morbidly obese women. read more

They can never seem to get my prescriptions right, or are always out of stock (and because I take a rare dose or medication, I have to wait a week or two for them to order more!) They also are always losing my insurance information and have constant issues with my phone. Not sure if this is common among Walmarts, or if it's just this store in particular but they clearly need a new system. The staff is lovely, though. read more
