This is, quite possibly, the scummiest, scuzziest, most disorganized, unprofessionally staffed Wal-Mart I have ever encountered. I drove out of my way to this location because I was told touristy postcards were sold here. They are not. They are, however, sold at the Lawrenceville location. The first thing I saw when I entered the store was a hand sanitizer dispenser that appeared to have been struck several times with a baseball bat. The other side of the "stay healthy" display had a wipe dispenser for carts. Naturally, it was out. The produce was wilted and brown. The deli salads had brown lettuce in them. That's when I noticed something...the prices. The prices at this location are sky high. The cereal, the cheese, the yogurt, the milk...everything was priced like the ultra organic section of Whole Foods. I grabbed a gallon of Wal-Mart brand milk and moved on. I arrived at the cleaning supplies, hoping to find some germ killing Windex. They didn't have that, but they did have a tiny bottle of blue Windex for almost $4.00. Are you kidding me? Again, I selected the Wal-Mart brand. Now, as I'm looking at the cleaning products, I see two, young black men working on stocking a nearby shelf. No problem at all...until they start having a loud conversation. Every other word was "nigga". Nigga this, nigga that, I told that nigga, nigga was like, these niggas said...and so on. I don't want to hear that. Customers have the right to expect a minimum level of decorum from the employees, am I correct? By this time, I'd had all I could take. I checked out and left. This Walmart was okay. I went here recently when I was in the area, and I feel like it was pretty well-stocked. I was able to get everything on my list. We didn't have any issues with the workers. Everyone was friendly and helpful. One of the workers even went out of their way to show me where something was without me asking, which was refreshing. To me it's just one of those locations that is just not laid out well. It seemed like I couldn't find things as easily or naturally as when I'm at other Walmarts. I have a preference for the Walmarts I've been to in Gwinnett County so far that just appear to be more organized. When I entered customer service area the cashier just stares at me as she was talking to a co worker and then saunters slowly over to the register, no greeting, no how may I help you. Instead, she waves her hand at me gesturing me to come over to the register. I followed what walmart+ told me to do for a return on an item that came in with a manufacture defect and the customer service desk acted like I was a theif. I had the barcode for the return even. Very RUDE staff and management! The manager , as you could clearly tell, was friends with the customer service agent and had no empathy or care about the way I was treated. If you enjoy feeling like you're a theif and someone to be looked down upon, than this store may be for you! I for one will never shop here again. I would rate negatively if I could. There is a total lack of customer service in the back of the store...people at check out were nice enough. in the back the employees are too busy talking/flirting to/with each other to assist customers. There is also a woeful lack to product on the shelves. They may have it in the back but there was no one to ask to find out. I have to report this Walmart as a 1/5 stars due to the fact of having "pickup option" and not honoring it once arrived and items are paid for. I arrived today around 5pm to pickup my order I placed through the Walmart app for pickup, I arrived, parked in the designated parking spots, and checked in. Upon checking in, I was informed that they were busy and they'll be out shortly. About 5 minutes pass, I call the number listed, which was 470-955-7921 and it rang 3-4 times and went to voicemail. I then attempted to call Walmart customer service, but my bf insisted on going in to pick up the order to save the hassle of waiting a long period of time, etc. The order was then fulfilled, but what's the purpose of having the pick up option if it's not honored. I dislike Walmart, in general. However, I happened to come here to buy hand weights cause earlier we headed out to Dick's Sporting and it cost a lot. We just needed 20 lbs arm weights and didn't want to spend that much. This particular Walmart had a major makeover. I haven't gone to it in many years. It is much bigger than the other Walmart's. Plus it's not overcrowded. I was soooo shocked to see a fish area. All the other Walmart's have moved them. In the past, my family used to have fish pets and we used to often go to Walmart to purchase since it is cheaper than Petsmart and Petco. The checkout lines were quick too. When doing self checkout today (only had two items today), I came around on the right to double bag a glass item. A window pops up and the older man who assists on self checkout came over to me, but he was very rude and talking loud saying that I put the bag on the glass, but I did not. (that probably happens sometimes with a new checkout system that it reads things that gets close to the scanner). He did not play the video back. I asked if he would just clear screen and he said " that is what I am doing", yet again in a loud upset voice. I referred him to Front End Manager Diwan and she said she would handle it. I also pointed to the rude man so that she would know exactly which man. I have spent thousands at Walmart local store and online (like so many people) since I moved from a different state 4 years ago, and this is how the store and employees thank you. Walmart will always be Walmart. This is one of the not so good ones, but it's the only one in the area closes to me so I am force to go here. Always a 10-15min+ wait to check out. Always 2-3 cashiers open. The self check-out is always down or not open or has only 1-2 machine that actually works. It's not that organize, but I guess there's no one to blame, but the shoppers. This store always has barren shelves throughout the store. The produce looks dead and suspect. I spoke to the manager about the bare shelves and why don't they have them stocked. We'll be blamed it on Trump and immigrants coming in, buying up everything and sending these items to their countries. Quite frankly, my recommendation is for you to not even bother with this Walmart. I mean seriously! First of all I've never had to wait in line for less than twenty minutes. No, really. They have something like 20 registers but only keep about four or five open. Even during the holidays more than half were closed. While they do offer self-checkouts, most are either closed or out of order. Then don't even think about returning an item! The line for that is so long that it's just not worth it unless you've spent a lot of money. The aisles are narrow and you end up either bumping into other customers, or swiping clothes off the rack as you fight to push your cart through. For awhile it was open 24 hours. I'm a working night nurse, so this was a plus for me on my days off. One day I went there and it was closed, although the banner still hung saying it was open 24 hours. This strikes me as something along the lines of false advertising. Don't EVEN ask me about their selection of merchandise! I still haven't figured out what customer base they're aiming at. Evidently the only thing that comes to mind is idiots because they've chosen the ugliest clothes and they are always out of whatever it is that I'm looking for. I can't believe that I am so dense because I keep going back only to get more and more aggravated! Now don't get me wrong. I'm a HUGE Walmart fan and it is Walmart that I usually go to first, just not this one. It is obviously badly managed and it is unfortunate that whomever is manager there is still in the sales workforce. All that aside, if you're still willing to chance it, on the plus side they have recently remodeled. That's really the only positive I can offer for this particular store. I would suggest skipping this one and traveling over to the Dunwoody store on Ashford-Dunwoody Road; up the street from Perimeter Mall. one of the worst Wal-mart's and I have been going here for years! Yes, this has been remodeled to include groceries, but I wish they could remodel their staff's attitude. I understand that bagging other people's merchandise may not be your dream job, but why must you slam my produce into bags? I don't want to buy a defective or damaged product!! They have gotten better at keeping their shelves stocked. I remember tons of times when row after row of shelves would be empty when i would stop by after work. There are also many times when items would not be priced correctly as well. I was recently over there looking at the small selection of betta fishes when I walked in on a staff member incorrectly telling a customer information about a few fishes she wanted. I couldn't stand it and jumped in, telling her that betta's would be better of in a tank by themselves as they are extremely territorial. I don't understand why that staff member wanted to make it look like he was a marine biologist when he couldn't even recommend how many fishes you could safely put into a tank! Not only did that sour my trip, but there was a man claiming to be the next up and coming R&B artist trying to sell his cd at the doors. I don't mind that, but when I politely said "No thank you" to him, he stood in my way and mocked me. Not one to back down, I retorted, "I hope you fail as an R&B artist because of your attitude!" Not only did he physically block my entrance, he did that to a few other customers as well. I went inside and found a manager at the returns/customer service station and told him what happened, but the manager shrugged his shoulders and said that he would get to him and make him stop. Keep in mind that the customer service station is a few steps away from this guy! So the manager's nonchalant attitude towards someone stopping potential customers and harassing them is evident in about 90% of the employees here. read more

It's a Walmart, and it's been renovated inside and the grocery, deli, bakery, and Subway are all an added plus. The garden section is still paltry, with a very limited selection of shrubbery, but there is a great selection of vegetable plants. Customer service is still lacking as it's virtually impossible to track down an associate that's knowledgeable about the store inventory, pricing, and even what they carry. That aside, the cashiers are much more personable than prior to the renovation. The auto place is also fairly decent for a basic oil change. Good place for plastic containers, garbage cans, and your basic home needs (and seasonal items as well). If you expect much more, then you shouldn't be shopping at WalMart read more

This place sucks, even for a Walmart. Even after the remodeling and expansion, this location has less selection than other Walmarts, and constantly runs out of inventory. The Chamblee-Tucker location is pretty bad and notorious for having only a few cash registers open, but this location manages to up the ante. On a Saturday night around 8 PM, there were only 4 lanes open, none of the Self-checkout lanes were open and the express lines were closed. There were two cashiers at the express line standing around looking at the crowds with a confused look on their face. Also, their auto center is ran by inept people with nasty attitudes as well. Avoid this Walmart and go to the one off 78 and West Park Place if you have to. Yeah, it's Walmart and it's still a headache in many ways, but its much easier to get to and less of a headache. read more

Yes they have a huge selection of products and yes some of their prices are better than the competition but those two small positives can't even come close to making up for all the negatives about this store. I have no idea who trained the staff at this location (probably no one) but "customer service" is completely nonexistent. Its evident that the employees don't care and they seem to go out of their way to be rude and unhelpful. The wait time to check out is absolutely insane. The store is messy, not very clean and not very well organized. The parking lot is a disaster - parking here is like going into a war zone and there are ALWAYS questionable people hanging around the lot and approaching you to buy something (last time I was here I was approached by two different sketchy guys in the lot - one wanted to sell me baby food and the other wanted to sell me his food stamps). Came here today to get my tires done and I was honestly dreading it but they had me in an out within an hour! The previous time I got my tires done at NTB, it took almost 4 hours and it was twice as expensive. They even had the same amount of cars and people waiting so I was pretty impressed. At this walmart I got 4 tires, an oil change, AS WELL AS warranty for half the price. The auto manager Tracy was juggling a lot but still took great care of me. This is the Tucker location. I was there to find some rain panchos, but I think that when they added the grocery aisles, they had to drastically cut inventory in other areas. I looked all through the camping and outdoor areas and couldn't find any. They did have a couple of things I needed, but the self-checkout was closed even though it was only around 8pm. The remaining cashiers were slow and would disappear for periods of time. The fast check out lines were closed and not taking additional people in line. Each time I go to walmart, it ends up being a miserable experience, almost like being trapped in prison when I'm ready to check out. I'm done with them. read more

"No. I'm here for a refund." "Well, it's here waiting for you. " Point-a big lack of professionalism and attitude from what appears to be lazy employees. Why give a customer attitude? Instead. Why not take a second and maybe say "Let me check on that to make sure we didn't overlook sending you the email. " Customer service. My review is mainly for the pharmacy, which provided a better experience than I've gotten at other Walmarts. I'm visiting ATL, so when my asthma flared up, I had two choices (well, three if you consider dying an option): I could go to the ER or try to get my Walmart Pharmacy and doctor in my hometown to call something in. The associates here explained that first the orders had to be accepted from my hometown pharmacy, meaning my doctor had to approve one of my regular drugs for a refill and call in a completely new drug. So that's completed and I call the Walmart here to see about getting my medicine. The associate said I had no refills on those two drugs. I became upset and was transferred to the pharmacist, who quickly realized that my hometown had filled my order, and as far as the world was concerned, I was picking them up there -- 350 miles away. He personally called my hometown pharmacy to explain the situation, and within 30 minutes, everything was resolved. Experience at the store was good, too. It's a small Walmart but that just means less Walmartians. I saw one store here that has a multi-level parking deck. That's scary. Anyway, Friday night I got a parking space up front and the pharmacy was completely empty when I arrived, so no waiting in line. Apparently people here have better options than the local Walmart or Sonic for a first date. The pharmacist got my order correct, something my hometown messes up every single month, and he and the clerk were very nice, asking about my health, my trip, how I liked Atlanta so far, etc. I had just a few groceries, so I checked out at the pharmacy, too. All in all, it was a great experience, which is exactly what you want when you're tired, wheezing, sucking air like a goldfish, and trying not to die. read more

Every single time I go to this Walmart to buy some ammunition I have to ask for someone to call an associate for help and not just once or twice but multiple times. I have to be persistent and keep asking or they will forget. The least I have waited was probably around 30-40 before someone came with the ammo key.the longest wait I've had was up to 2hrs. The only reason I go here is because it's close and convenient. I never have this problem at the Decatur location. read more

This Walmart is the worst of any Walmarts I have been to. The customer service is exceptionally poor. I am not sure who trained the staff here but they are very unprofessional and non customer focused. It seemed to me that they were at work to socialize and have a good time vs. assist the customer with their needs. I made a verbal complaint to the management staff about the poor behavior of staff but was not too convinced that anything is going to come out of it. To add fuel to the fire, there were large craters and other equipment laying all around the store and I almost tripped over one and injured myself. When I brought this to the attention of customer service, they gave me an attitude and asked me where I expected for the equipment to be moved. It did not even occur to them that someone could trip and fall and result in a liability issue. Whatever you do....STAY AWAY FROM WALMART TUCKER!!! It is a disaster. read more
