My experience today was horrible. I couldn't get the size face wash I wanted because the man that got it for me grabbed the bigger size. The people at customer service would rather sit on their phones than help me buy what I wanted. The employees in the back were yelling loud enough for the whole store to hear. I'm honestly disappointed in my experience today. Not one but TWO food items were expired by 2-3 months. (pepperoni & beef sticks). This is unacceptable in my opinion. This Walmart Supercenter is worth the 10 mile drive. They had everything I wanted and more. It's one of the best Walmart in the bayou.

I had just arrived in La. from Florida. My sinuses was acting up, so I went to the pharmacy and asked the Cashier for advice. She then went and asked the Pharmacist and he kindly recommended some sinus meds to buy. I hate the fact that Louisiana has about three taxes added to every sale. Medicine is also taxable. I walked throughout the store and loved the King Cakes they had for sale and as I walked further down, I noticed an entire aisle with nothing but Cajun and Mardi Gras items for sale. I have never seen anything like it! I did manage to purchase an LSU crockpot. I love my crockpot! It was on sale. I believe I purchased it for about $30.00. Great job Walmart. read more

Extremely rude, lazy and unbothered workers. They just stand around talking to one another, stare at you with resting faces and don't even speak to u when there's a problem. Had one woman come up to me at self-checkout, stare at me, grab my receipt from the machine and look at it, then give it to me. The whole time she didn't say one word to me! Why the all the hate? It's a Walmart, and it gets crowded and difficult to navigate as they all do. However, they have good stock and the folks are friendly. I'm new to the area and was pleasantly surprised at the level of courtesy of both the clientele and the staff. I was looking for batteries and a pleasant young employee directed me to the right spot. I was in and out with relative ease, and they had every single item in stock that I was there for. I picked up tools, batteries, food and various other supplies, all at great low prices. I've been to many Walmart's in my lifetime, all up and down the east coast, and this particular location is head and shoulders above the rest. This Walmart easily earned 5 stars with me. After a year of shopping at this Walmart, I can say it's as far as I've had, the best run Walmart I've ever been to, by a mile. A lot nicer, cleaner, and tidier than other ones, and I'll give props to them for that, very surprised by this location. It's still no Target, but not a bad Department store for Thibodaux. read more

I do not enjoy coming here at all. The entire experience from start to finish could be much nicer. People driving in this parking lot do not know how to yield to pedestrians or follow the painted lines throughout the lot. Once you get into the superstore the employees are less than inviting and the other customers are not considerate. The prices might be right but nothing else is to me. I don't need to speak of the check out lines because we all know only a handful of those are ever open. read more

This is the worst walmart ever. Very poor management. Never enough registers open and his EXCUSE is short staff. Well I hate to tell you buddy but that's your problem and your customers don't want to hear excuses. You fix the problem! That's YOUR JOB as a manager. It's sad that with Walmart being a big nation wide store where so many people shop there customer service is horrible! I applied and was excited to start I called 3 times a week to check on my background finally a month later I got a letter saying I needed to send them a copy of my social when I called there to tell personal a lady name Sandra answered she was so rude laughed at me saying they never send copy's for what ?! Yet when I was there for my interview they made a copy of the girl who was next to me .. they hire so many people who are lazy , rude and don't want to work and the ones that do they don't even give them the time of day.. just sad!!! read more

Shopping at this Walmart is a nightmare. There are never enough manned registers. The improvements in self checkout are fine if you don't have things in your basket that need approval. Getting alcohol is something I will never do again. I waited 20 minutes in a checkout line for one bottle of wine just to have a cashier open the register behind me and took the person behind me who had just walked up. I frequently find items on the refrigerator shelves expired. They often have items out of stock. And when I find an item I like that's not their brand, it doesn't take long until they randomly stop carrying it. The staff don't seem to care about the customer. Usually if I ask for help the response is " I don't know, I don't usually work in this department." Sadly this is the only place that carries some of the items I do like otherwise I wouldn't come at all. read more

This Walmart has bad placement for their staff. They are more worried about the conversations they are having between each other than help a customer. Layaway is not open until 10am which I feel is unrealistic for some people that work and cannot make it. If your establishment is opened then that area should be opened also. Especially when it's the holidays. read more

I give this hell hole a one star only because it would not let me give zero stars. Do yourself a favor and travel down to the Mathews location. They should just convert this store to a mini storage. I would not even give this store a one star! Management is very poor, workers are rude and there are never any registers open unless you stand in line for 25min at a minimum. Now they want to add an app for matching prices. Really? They can't even keep up now. Tired of hearing excuses of not enough people wanting to work!!!!! That is managements problem!
