Not up for debate. *Quality selection of local goods including food, snacks and crafts. *Fried chicken-fresh, delicious and much recommend if you like fried chicken. *A name you will ask how to pronounce, say it once, then promptly forget how to pronounce. There is also an attached Subway, but I haven't tried it yet. The convenience store is small and loaded with items. It is so full that it is a little difficulty to maneuver at times. They do have the typical convenience store items and prices seem fair. Each time I have come here, the cashiers have been very friendly. In fact, everyone I have encountered in Houma has been that way.

They have a large bit of everything, from snacks and beverages, tobacco products, a nice wine and spirit offering, and gift items. Shop rite always has great gasoline prices, which makes this my first choice in fueling up my ride. This location additionally is next to Mommie's ( i know, the name threw me for a loop too) and though I haven't actually been there yet, I've heard some nice things about it. It is sausage and rice in a sausage type casing. You can buy it hot and fresh cooked to order here. You can dine in or have it to go. Nothing fancy, but they serve their purpose. Eww. Inside wasn't much better. Everything was really dusty and it reeked of onions. I'm pretty sure the cashier lady (who was about 50) was high and she was smoking a cigarette.
