I haven't traveled for a few months so I'm out of practice. I realized when I unpacked at the hotel that I was needing a tube of toothpaste. Oops. Since I also wanted some snacks and some bottled water, I headed here to the nearest Walmart. The store is tidy and I found it well stocked. I had no problems finding the "travel" area in the personal care area and selected one thing, then clear across the store to the other side for snacks and water. This is a Supercenter so it's definitely a good walk! Nearly all of the checkouts have been converted to self-checkout which is good and bad. last wednesday i had an appointment to have my 2022 tacoma fitted with tires at the supercenter on gunn hwy. when i arrived i was told that my appointment had been cancelled because the tires i had ordered (on walmart.com) had not arrived at the store. i want to thank jorge for his excellent customer service!! he not only found the tires for me, he honored my appointment. rolando was the mechanic that installed the tires. he went out of his way to make sure that the sensors were transferred from my old wheeles to the new ones. he was very professional and did an excellent job. they both did. i was very satisfied with the way they turned a negative into a tremendous prositive. i will reccomend them in the future!! read more

Came here for curbside pickup since the location nearest my house didn't have the Grinch pj pants I wanted. Placed the order abs within a few hours it was ready for pickup. This location has an area within the parking lot that is dedicated to pickup orders. Big signage on the building and signage when you enter the parking lot tells you where to go. Choose a designated parking spot and check in with the link in your email. They then bring out to your car. Easy peasy walla weasy! read more

Ok. Walmart is Walmart. You know what you are going to get whenever you are there. But what is with all the pallets of merchandise all over the store during busy times? It is so hard to focus and shop when you are dodging other shoppers and pallets all over the place. Then the employees act like you are in the way. Smh. We go to the Gunn Hwy location because it is closer. But I would definitely prefer driving the extra distance to the Bearrs and Nebraska location. It's a more organized store. And less hectic. This review is strictly for the automotive department. If I can give it 0 stars then I would. I had a 7:00 appointment to get a headlight restoration and was told it would be about an hour. After waiting 1.5 hour's and asked how much longer, I was told another 30 minutes. After waiting more then 2.5 hour's it was finally done. Another person was told it would only take 45 minutes to change a tire. He was leaving when I did. The people that work there really need to tell the customer's how long the job will really take so we can make other arrangements instead of waiting there. read more

I used to get my groceries from this Walmart Super Center. But, they were bad real bad. I would order my groceries and pick it up at at the curbside and most of the time their employees were rude and had my eggs broken every time. They had a real bad attitude and their auto center would try to charge higher than other Walmart's. I have to go Brandon Auto Center just to get a good oil change and good price plus the employees are a lot nicer. It's truly a shame that the world has to come to this. But, anyway do not go to this Walmart Super Center you will not get good service. I don't recommend it. read more

Walmart Supercenter #2740 19910 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33647 I am writing to let you know that I had such a BAD experience at this Walmart Vision Center @ the Walmart Super Center #2740, 19910 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33647. I have been a long time customer of this Vision Center. The current Manger of the Vision Center, Dimple P. does not have any qualities of good customer service. I went in to purchase 2 new pairs of prescription glasses which I have been doing for many years to have a spare pair at this location. They've always been affordable and offered great customer service. When Dimple P. was writing calculating cost of the glasses, and figuring out the discount she made a huge error in her calculations, which had been easy math! When I pointed that out to her - she denied it . It was in writing! No denying! The error she made was one of $100 in her mathematical calculations, which would have cost me and extra $100 !! She ended up up charging me to a disgustingly high amount without informing me and without my consent. I was able to get good customer service and information from another Vision Center. It was then that I found out why my over all charge was insanely high. She added on charges that were not approved. I went in and cancelled my order for my glasses. I will go elsewhere where customers are appreciated and treated with the proper customer service. This Vision Center is no longer the excellent one it once was. I don't even remember coming here once before. I am never ever coming back to this location. Apparently I gave it one star in a review a long time ago oh, and if I could give it minus Stars I would. I felt like I was in the ghetto. It was worse than the New York location in Greenacres Long Island. No one was able to answer a simple question in the pharmacy. I asked for a manager and they look like they didn't even understand what it meant. For a Walmart, this Supercenter is remarkably clean. And even though it's not the closest Walmart to my home, this store is a much more pleasant shopping experience. Plus, we can get groceries here, too. However, this store is LARGE. And checkout is not usually swift. I've recently discovered Walmart grocery pickup service & I may be obsessed now. Pickup is so easy & very quick. And pricing is exactly the same as if I went inside. So far, I've only found a few things that I have to order separately for delivery, like bleach & yoga pants. But by ordering online for pickup, I can get toilet paper, eggs, hair gel, bananas, cat food & Ibuprofen, without turning off my van. My wait today, for two separate orders, was about ten minutes. I'm still shaking from the horrible way the auto center people spoke to me. This began from the pit crew guy when I pulled in, to the guy who ignored the long line while he shuffled paper around while allowing the girl to help everyone. To the girl who was short and rude with replies. I've returned to pick up my tires and the older guy whose energy suggests he is just miserable in life finally acknowledged, oddly knew or guessed my name and told the initial rude girl to "just give her her tires". She either didn't understand or wasn't moving fast enough so he got them, rolled them to me (2 tires) and without words walked away. I am shaking again. There is no acceptable reason to treat people like this. I will copy and paste this everywhere I can. This is unacceptable! read more

I went to this Walmart and for the most part happy with most of my purchases, what I'm not happy with is I bought a "Better Homes and Gardens" Bed-set that was of course the last one of the design I wanted. I finally open it up and the sheet set that was supposed to be in there is not there . I don't want to take it back since it was the last in the color I wanted. The rest of the pieces that was promised is there hence the 2 star rating. So I have 10 out of the 12 piece set. Not really happy. Generally speaking, I like this Walmart. It's clean, huge, and has plenty of self-checkout registers. Historically, I haven't shopped at Walmart much for anything except their chicken breasts, which are only $1.99/lb. I'm convinced they're mutated, because they're so large. But I haven't turned into a Ninja Turtle yet, so I think I'm okay. I went in today and figured I'd grab some chicken, but the breasts were either packaged poorly, had emitted too much gas for my liking (when the plastic is bubbled up too high), or were freezer burned. I had never seen them in such a state before! And the shelves themselves did not smell good -- like chicken juice had leaked everywhere. Needless to say, I passed on the poultry this time. I guess you can't take the Walmart out of Walmart. Otherwise, this store is convenient to where I live, is typically clean, and parking is a snap. If you play Pokémon Go, there are lots of little creatures around for you to catch. I also vouch for the deli meats. I usually get them at Publix, but I decided to give Wally a try for once. They give you a slice as a sample, just like Publix, and the quality was good for both meat and cheese. While I try to give the bakery a wide berth, I admit to indulging once or thrice. It's a great size, smells good, and I haven't had any problems finding the bread or sweet treats I'm craving. I've also taken to buying my avocados here, as they go on sale for .90¢. Don't be afraid of on sale, brown avocados! Flick off the stem at the top. If there's green beneath it, it's good. If it's brown or another disgusting color, pass it up. read more

I had a great experience here last week. I stopped at this place to drop off my car to get tires put on. I found that Walmart had the best tire prices for my car. So I chose to walk around the store and look for good deals while my car was getting done. This is a great place to find a variety of TVs at a good price. Walmart is nicknamed by the members of my family as Wally World (which is not to be confused with the legendary theme park featuring Marty the Moose in Clark Griswold's "Vacation" movie series). No... in fact I have never mistaken Walmart for a fun park, though I have seen a few people roaming the aisles who could have been mistaken for moose. (Quick, call the Alaskan Wildlife Rangers!) This is a Super Walmart meaning that it is open 24 hours, and features a full grocery store along with all of the other housewares, electronics, health & beauty, sporting goods, clothing, hardware, automotive, pet supplies, and furniture items inside of this megalithic retail establishment. You'll find this store at the intersection of Gunn Highway and Henderson Road in the middle of Carrollwood. I personally prefer shopping at Target over Walmart, but since I was only planning to buy a few items I figured that I could zip in and out of Walmart without a lot of hassle. I found the trash bags, paper towels, laundry detergent, razor blades, and bar soap on my shopping list, and then pushed my shopping cart towards the front of the store to start the check-out process. This would be where the sea of humanity raced through the front doors of the store, still dressed in their pajamas and spandex. They were clearly planning to make a day out of roaming the aisleways while stopping to talk to everyone else, and letting their little heathen children run screaming through the store. Let's just say that I encountered some fascinating individuals while attempting to check out, and that quickly reminded me why I don't make a habit out of shopping here. Sure the prices are low, but there's a certain level of human dignity which is lacking at this "fun park". No thanks, I'll go back to Target next time. read more

This is based on my pharmacy wait. It was all so simple... Or so I thought. My doc sent over the prescription and I got here about an hour and a half after he sent it. It wasn't finished yet she said about 30 more minutes so I got sucked in to shopping mode and now here I am waiting for my prescription. Now the time was all right and the meds were there but I have to pay throw the lady that is sitting in the drop off window coz she has some special clearance or something. Who the heck knows. Anyways moral of the story is I'm going to move my scripts to publix because everyone and there mom does there pharmacy here for the sheer fact that it's a one stop shop. If it was possible to give Zero stars I would!!!!!!! I came to this Walmart to get my tire fixed the one tire I bought 3 months ago front this exact location!!! I brought my phone with the conformation code the address to this Walmart and the date and they told me they couldn't find it so I had to pay for the tire I got 3 months ago, which I shouldn't have had to pay for. Also all I needed was my tire fixed and they told me I needed a completely new tire which is not true! The last 3 people said that they said the same thing they came to get their tire fixed but ended up "needing" a new tire! And if that wasn't bad enough, all of the workers there were not friendly and giving me attitude about the situation that they caused!This was the worst visit I have ever had! The ladie's name was Deanna in automotive section. I asked her to open the cage so I could view the car stereos and she rolled her eyes and came and opened it. Word for word "could you please open this for me" with a SMILE on my face. Then I asked her again because I wanted to look at another one and in the rudest attitude she raised her voice at us and said for what. Incredible how people can be so rude. This is my home store since it is the closest to me. I shop here very frequently but today I thought I'd express how I really feel about this place. After giving this company 8 years of my life it's a shame to see not much has changed at all. Walmart is usually known for its long lines, lack of cashiers and bad customer service. Well my experience today was no different. I want to give much appreciation and thanks to the customer service employees and cashiers working hard doing their best. My complaint is the lack of leadership in this store. Today at the customer service desk this morning during a slow time, there was one associate there and the line grew to about 15 people. I seen a few customer service managers (csm) walk by and not one stopped to assist or call for help. After speaking with the associate she said a few people called out but that was no excuse for the lack of management presence and response in that situation. Please do better Walmart. Publix , Target and every other retail store sounds the alarm when lines get backed up and you see a management presence trying to resolve the issue. But I think we're all used to this culture of Walmart by now. Just wanted to share my two cents about this store. read more

They've remodeled since the last time I was here. The store is easier to navigate. Today, I just had to run in to get a bow tie. Yes, a bow tie! Anyway, I knew where they'd be in general since I'd been at a large format super walmart last week. I'm happy to report that it was in the -exact- same place at this location. At 10:00pm however, checking out is a challenge. THey had quite a few registers open, but all the lines were moving slow, even when there were only 2 or three people in them, with very few items. One thing I didn't like, the guy pushing the carts inside. I tried to pass him, and he just didn't give 2 whits. I'd speed up, he would too, I tried to get around him and he didn't even look at me, nearly running me over, when he did "See" me, he gave me a look filled with attitude. Oy. I had to have someone come pick up my kids after an hour so they didn't miss practice. This is hands down the worst situation of disrespect for customers I've experienced. I have to update my review after my last experience here. Who would have thought that Wal-mart would not have ANY of the items I was specifically looking for recently? I thought they had *everything* but alas, no. Upon asking an employee for help, he casually pointed to his left, said "over there" and continued his conversation with a friend. And the item wasn't even there. What items, you ask? 1) CR2 photo batteries - they sell the camera but not the batteries. I hunted down every battery stand in the building and couldn't find them. 2) Camera case that fit a certain camera size. Nope. 3) A filter for my air purifier, the small one-room model that is pretty common! No filters this size. No Holmes brand. Huh? 4) A cow bell. (My dog was a cow for Halloween and I needed to get her a bell.) Meh. Why do I even bother with this place. I need to stop even trying. read more

I give 5 stars based on the idea that I am comparing this place with other coupon driven supermarket stores! This is not your small local grocery store. Expect a lot of people (and waiting lines) certain times of the day. A month or so ago I'd have complaint about the lack of cashiers available on a busy hour. Now I give 5 stars because they finally added the self checked out areas. Location: One of the cleanest Walmart's I encountered. The parking lot is huge and there easy access to the garden area. The products: The price of cleaning products are the best. I won't find specific brand for granite, but toilet paper, paper towels have the best deals. My coffee brand is here (usually I can only find on Office Depot and Staples). The customer service: They have the most amazing returning policies ever! I bought this shark cleaner that after using one time I realized it was missing a small part, I did not have the receipt any longer but they accepted to exchange with no problem. And yes, again, it doesn't matter how big is my grocery list, I will go direct to the self checked out area I hope other places start adopting this idea! (like the rest of the world has) read more

You'd think a Walmart is a Walmart is a Walmart, but you'd be wrong. Aside from the Supercenter distinction, some Walmarts are nicer than others. If I frequented many different Walmarts I'd probably start a couple of lists, like " Good Walmarts" and "Bad Walmarts". This Walmart would fall in the "Good Walmarts" category. Maybe it's just me, but some Walmarts seem cleaner, better organized, and maybe it's my imagination but some even seem better lit. There's a regular Walmart on Waters and Hanley I'll be giving 2 stars shortly. The one in Oldsmar will get 3. This one I am a fan of. So four stars it is. The grocery pick up service here is too slow. At other locations they come out with my groceries as soon as I pull up. This store is the closest when I'm Picking up for my office otherwise I would not come here! I have waited as long as 30 minutes! As I type this I'm 14 minutes into waiting and still no groceries hope this is not another 30 min wait!! I could do the shopping myself in 30 min!! Finally!! This is one of those reviews that I really need that extra half star. Not much new you can say about Walmart that hasn't been said. But location is walking distance and they have self check out. Besides that, it's like every other super Walmart. If you time it early enough, you can avoid most of the wal creatures who seem to awake later in the day. read more
