    Clean!

Typical Walmart but atypically clean. Super clean really. Very nice customer service in the areas we strolled through. As travelers Walmart is always a go-to for things we forget to take with us.

One of the closest Walmart in my Tita's area. I've noticed a lot of 1 or 2 stars in this location mostly saying customer service sucks. Only here once so I cannot really tell the difference. We just came here for some movie snacks and for my body wash and so far it went well. Customer service base on my experience is just okay. They're not rude but not the friendliest either. Also, it's a pretty big Walmart compare to the ones we got in Oahu Hawaii and I appreciate the selection on their beauty supplies. They got Hawaiian goodies here too which I think really sweet knowing that lots of Hawaiians moved here. That's all really, nothing much to say about this store. Mahalo for reading and happy juandering fellow yeeps!

If you wish to lose your patience alongside a large quantity of valuable brain cells and possibly liquid life aka blood cells all while traveling within a 12,451 mile radius from your current location all in the name to shop at the worlds worst Walmart that generates the dense personal connection of purchasing goods in the back alley of a dark 711 after the streets cleared an hour after the surrounding lights ignited, that would have signaled you to go home as a child,.., then this is absolutely the Walmart for you. The managers have less "patients" than the quack doctors posted up against the building shooting up and dealing in front of the security guards and police. Half of the items didn't have price tags, the security system is malfunctioning causing individuals to be stop for a requested search while it randomly goes off from the electromagnetic fields generated by your body with varying frequencies based upon your clothes, Personal Electronic Devices and magnets which some people carry on person for their child's entertainment. I would bet an entire paycheck that management at this Walmart hands down are the true Scrooge's all year round. I base this fact upon first hand knowledge that EVERY employee IN UNIFORM whom I asked for assistance to, which would include pointing me to someone "On-The-Clock" snapped back faster than a switch pulled from the busch in the most southern east parts of America just to be delivered to an angrily disappointed parent that never left the small town you grew up in. Every employee... cough cough,... all 6 snapped back with "I'm on my break" with one employee closing an entire line full of customers at the customer service counter the moment time struck a nano second past 16:30 and no replacement or direction to the customers kicking rocks and playing with pocket lint after waiting in line for 30+ minutes. What I'm more upset at is the bigger issue that upper management will miss and that is the obvious poor personnel management, horrendous facility management, and their laughable inventory management. It all snowballs downhill and effects the employees whom taint the customer experience which just happens to match well with the physical environment located immediately around this Walmart. If you dare to travel to this location keep your cash at home, have a conceal carry, hide your kids and hide your "spouse", bring a few boots for your vehicle, siphon the gas and wear nothing over $10 and sit back and enjoy the new season of "Where's Waldo?" The only thing this Walmart really has going for it is being THE prime example of what not to be for success.

$2 for caprisun and $5 for a big bag of apple slices, stocked my fridge for this trip with a lot of savings. I also got 6 waters for $5. Absolutely worth the drive down. Slightly sketch outside at night but most of Tacoma is like that now. I would just say to park towards the front of the store.

Do not try and order cakes here. They canceled the day of pick up! Very unprofessional when I ordered it over a week an advance.

Went at 10:30am on a Monday and it was surprisingly busy. Everyone is coming to check it out. Store employees were super nice. Moderate size store with good selection, but some racks were empty or needed to be refreshed. I don't know if that's because they are short-handed (which they are), or because they haven't had a chance to get to things with the crazy crowds they've had. Either way, I found some items to buy, and will definitely come back.

I had to purchase a pair of dress shoes, and I specifically asked the salesperson when I told her that they were a little tight, but was assured that they would loosen up upon wear and if they didn't, that I could return them. I thought, "that's why I love Nordstrom's." Fast forward two hours, and I had a huge blister on the inside of my big toe. I had to remove the shoes and switch into tennis shoes, which did not match my suit at all. But, I knew I could return the shoes, so I was OK with that. I took the shoes back and was told by a sales clerk and by the manager, "Finn," that I could not return the shoes because they had been worn outside. I explained to her that I specifically asked that when I purchased them earlier and was assured that I could. She said that didn't matter because there were scuffs on the sole of the shoe. I said I would take store credit and she said "aren't you listening, I said we could not take them back." I would avoid this Nordstrom's rack, find another or better yet, just skip them altogether - they are not what they used to be, they do not stand behind their products, and they do not stand behind their word.

I like to try different health and beauty products from time to time. Primarily soaps, colognes and deodorants for men. I haven't ever really delved into a Sephora until recently and I have been pleased with the item I got from here. What I got was the Salt & Stone natural deodorant. The fragrance of this product was Black Rose and Vetiver. It has a unique fragrance and the great thing about this deodorant is that it's all natural and has impressive, long lasting strength that lasts all day long. There were some other impressive looking colognes here but my stock for that particular item is good for now. There is another Sephora inside the Tacoma Mall and while I haven't specifically browsed through there yet with a lot of examination my impression is that the merchandise is slightly different even though Kohls/Sephora is just outside the mall. It makes sense however from a marketing and product standpoint.

Well, I'll be honest... Nordstrom and their clothing for men doesn't exactly hit the mark for me. I…read moremean it almost does but not quite as far as men's clothes go. I am most certainly a clothes horse and have a variety of styles from punk, goth, retro kitsch, rock star look, brewery shirts to even a skater types of clothes. I even have stuff that doesn't fit into any of that and I just had a weakness for it at the time. One would think I'd succumb to many shopping sprees for clothes frequently with not much of a stringent process on what to buy but having a large wardrobe has actually made me very picky about what I buy... depending on the store of course. Being a mall walker especially during the winter months sends me through Nordstrom's at the Tacoma Mall quite often and my eye often wonders as I pass through the men's section but so far I'm still a tough sale. I have purchased items from here in the past but it is infrequent and what I purchased was from their underwear section for men. I have bought a few briefs here that are very well made and have fun patterns to them that I have been pleased with. A lot more interesting than the Hanes tightie whities. This is a part of my particular and stringent process with clothing as to have good underwear. But the selection here changes as one would expect and while finding a couple magnificent briefs here my last walk through in this section had mainly boxers and boxer briefs which isn't exactly my preference. And that was about all they had was this type so I didn't pursue browsing any further. Another Yelper wrote a review that item selection at this Nordstrom's isn't as good as some of their other locations and while I cannot confirm this it wouldn't be surprising as many of the retail stores in the general area I live in are considered smaller model stores which also means less of a selection. One thing I love with this location and maybe each location has a different look but around Christmas time they put up beautiful decoration displays and I always got to take some pictures to enjoy and post to Instagram. This past holiday season they had a great big and impressive menorah as well. There is a coffee shop near the mall entrance that is I believe a part of Nordstrom's. They have their own Yelp entry but unfortunately I am not too impressed with their pastries or coffee but that is a whole other layer of pickiness aside from the clothing shopper in me.

Guess I was chump change. Either way it's not the Nordstrom I remember from the 80s, 90s or even 2000s. Sad, their training must have really fallen off. Nordstrom used to be the gold standard of retail. Those days are gone. What happened to "The Customer is number 1 " ?

When coming here caution must be exercised carefully. I do not go without my husband. This Ross has saved us a great deal of money when we needed to put rugs down on our wood floors. We also needed clothes for my youngest son that is almost bigger than me. I can shop in children/teen section now that I lost considerable amount of weight. So I save a lot of money doing this. If you wear 0-2 in women then there is the trick. Shoes are difficult to find here but not impossible. It just requires patience and sometimes you have go a few times. Fragrances for men and women are hit and miss. But if you are patient you will find very popular ones like Polo, Burberry , Elizabeth Taylor, Cool Water and other brand names. You will save money compared to Mall prices. This is my place to get fragrances. The place has this portable talking security in the parking lot. It is a constant pre-recorded (in English and Spanish) message deterring delinquent activity in shopping plaza. And in store, we are greeted by security who must keep track of who is coming and leaving. They are very polite and professional. I actually feel safe with them there. My husband and I have made 15-20 time in there. Usually we do not linger in there too long. We know the "no public bathroom "drill and sorry it is the way it is now. Unfortunately customers have to suffer this especially children, elderly and those with disabilities. But safety is better. When shopping here, it is a good idea to bring strong reusable bags. Otherwise there is an $.08 charge for each bag. Again bring a few cute and strong bags. As I look at the situation and my shopping experience, it very good when we exercise common sense and be safe out there. Ross is a good place to shop and I will come back as I need certain items.
