A quick stop for snacks now that the sun is shining and I might have a few days of electricity generated from the solar in the van. I found this store easy to negotiate, decently well stocked on a weekday at 10am and the self-checkout worked fine. In the vegetable section I had a question and asked an employee. He told me about a dozen times he didn't speak English and he never attempted to understand what I needed. Non English speaking persons should be working in the back not on the floor where a customer may ask for help. That is very poor customer service. read more

well, it's Walmart folks and there's no bells and whistles here although I think that their new system of checkout is pretty pathetic. It's even hard to determine if you're paying with anything let alone in cash or card that being said the store is clean. They care about the customers I think for the most part and you got more cops here than there is at a donut shop. This place has saved me from having to go into a grocery store during Covid (most of the time). I've not actually been into this store, but I've picked up groceries dozens of times since Covid hit the area. First, their app was sophisticated to start with and there wasn't any ramping up. The store already had grocery pickup prior to the pandemic, so they were positioned to do well. We drive in from the rear of the building to get to the parking spots designated for pickup, I tell the app that I'm leaving my house and the groceries are out super fast as soon as I tell the app what parking spot I'm in once I've arrived. The employees always wear their masks and loaded the groceries into the back. Everything works so smoothly! read more

Constant with the racial profiling here at Walmart. Plenty of white folk walk through the exit no problem but once it's a person without milky skin they get stopped to review their receipt. I see it every single time i'm in this walmart and I only see it happen at this one. If this was a policy that every person needs their receipt reviewed then fine but that is definitely not the case. i know walmart does not care about their customers but it's hurtful as a person of color to feel discriminated against when shopping. Took my mother shopping today. She was using her Walmart card and it was declined. My mother is 79 years young and has NEVER had a card decline in her life so she was is shock. The checker was not nice or helpful about it at all. I called the company and they told me it wasn't the card, the problem was on the store end. At the checkout up front the card was declined again, and I let the checker know what the cc company said to me. He didn't seem very interested in what I had to say, just ran the card until it FINALLY went through. Diana in the cosmetic area was particularly "cranky". There was only one nice older gentleman that escorted me to the crackers after observing my confusion. read more

Over the years we have found the employees at this Airway Heights store very friendly and helpful. Additionally, the only time I, or anyone, gets stopped prior to leaving so the receipt gets checked, is if there are non-bagged items in the cart. The reason for our bad review of the store is: As a disabled senior citizen that does not live in Airway Heights (but AHeights Walmart is the closest Walmart to me) it is hard for me to get to, and then around, the store. If I call to try to find out anything prior to traveling to, and then painfully walking into/around the store, the phone just rings and rings, eventually hanging up, or, in the case of selecting the keypad number for Electronics, the call just instantly goes dead. I am not trying to find if something is in stock, but have questions that are important to me that it would be nice to have answered prior to my traveling there and then possibly finding out the timing is wrong for me to talk to someone and that I need to return: a wasted trip. There is absolutely NO way to talk to a manager or ask any question over the phone. read more

On Friday the Dec 4th @ 8pm I was married for 29yrs , in Nov. 2019 my husband was diagnosed with late stage 4 lung to bone cancer he passed 4mos later March 29,2020 My daughters bought a crimson and brass long stem rose that holds his tiny amount of his ashes in the bud of the rose. My daughters ordered it for me thru the funeral home. so I would hv something to feel close to him, to love to touch and hold, and to lay upon his pillow..I would have a way for him to be me.. So not to be alone.. .....I'm broken... I would like to get him back !! I need him !!.. its terrible to think that a part of him is out there floating around in his rose. I can't bear to think of him getting passed around being sold, traded, gifted or even stolen. when the solder fails that keeps the ashes in and if the person finds his ashes they may not know what they are or throw them out Please, I'm begging for whom ever found it .. Walmart is... walmart... you shop at walmart because it truly is one stop shopping, and it's tough to beat their prices! You can get an oil change, tires rotated, dog food, dinner, an ugly sweater, jeggings AND a fish.... all in one stop! There are certain things I won't buy here... like meats... lunch meat they are good... their raw meats I refuse to buy here. I have had too many bad experiences wth their meat department. Not good. This location is always busy but pretty clean and tidy. My real complaint is we always see employees walking around in groups like they all just left a meeting or are all walking to a meeting yet when it's busy and time to check out there are zero lanes open. The only lanes open when it's hectic are the self check out lanes. So now I get to do all the work of checking and bagging and don't get an employee discount for doing so. What's up with that Walmart? If I have a couple of items I don't mind checking myself out to save time, money etc but when I have an entire cart full of groceries it's extremely frustrating and difficult to do self check out alone. read more

This is regarding the deli at the Airway Heights location. Walmarts have a great secret with their incredibly affordable and tasty lunch plate with tons of chicken wings and 2 sides. I work inside the store for a separate business on weekends and usually grab this on Saturdays. Today their sides looked disgustingly stale, there were only a few nasty old chicken wings, and the counter person was no where to be seen. After nearly 5 minutes, I finally spotted someone making a hot dog in the back but they wouldn't look up and I finally walked away. I do recommend Walmart's deli, but not this location. This is not the first time by any means that this deli has failed to deliver. read more

I went to pay for my stuff I was buying at self checkout. My card got declined so I give the bag of my items to the employee running that station. Went back to talk to my family I was with to let them know I had to run to back to sort out of account. The manger of the cashiers line pretty much case me down to let me know my card was declined. I kindly let him know I gave it to his employee and I will be coming back for those items I was trying to buy. Called my bank got my card good to use. Came back in to purchase my items and the employee was watching me like a hawk made me nervous and stress out I started Stumbling over my words felt like there were judging me the whole world time. I didn't think it was there business to know I previously took speech classes and been trying to work on my conversations better I feel I lost everything I worked towards. Do not trust the Pharmacy at this Wal-mart. This is the second time my husband had a prescription filled there and they only half filled it but put the full amount on the bottle and said to come back in 10 days for the rest. When you go back they wont finish the order because they said it was complete. Hey Pharmacy, stop doing that. Either put the number of pills you put in the bottle at that moment or stop half-way filling peoples prescription. I don't know, maybe something shady is going on this in Pharmacy. We Will Never, NEVER use you again and will let everyone I know to not trust you. Get it together Pharmacy Manager! Ya you...you know who you are! I repeat, do not trust them, they do not give you all your pills at once. Now my husband has to wait another month before he can get this prescription filled. It's honestly not even worth telling the whole story. This rude Walmart employee yelled at me for going down the wrong isle by accident (Covid measures). Talked to a manager and nothing was done. He basically wanted me to feel sorry for the guy after he yelled in my face in public. Worst customer service I have ever experienced at a grocery store. This is not the first time I have been mistreated at this Walmart or Walmart's in general. However, that was the last time I will ever shop at a Walmart again. I have been in here almost daily since I have moved here and bottom line some days are better than others. Typical Wal-Mart but what I hate the most is that their is not a huge selection of Hispanic items, meats ( rarely have pig feet or tripe for menudo), or they seem to always be out of vegetables. Of course my ass is Mexican and I am complaining about the choices in their Hispanic section but, I really do rely on it since I haven't been able to find anywhere else that sells what I am always needing. The staff could be a bit nicer and helpful in acknowledging you when you have no idea where to find an item. CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK DEFINITELY NEEDS MORE STAFFING and of course more lanes opened up during the holiday season would be nice. But I am just saying. read more

This is towards the vision center part of Walmart. My husband and I went in to get his eyes checked. He decided he wanted to try contacts. So they talked about it and the eye doctor gave him some to try for free. Since it was the first time he'd ever worn them, they said he needed a tutorial on how to put them in. After the girl gave him a 5 minute speech, he put them in. They then tell us we have to pay $50 for said tutorial. He needed to pay that for a 5 minute speech?! And they said nothing about the charge until AFTER. I've worn them. I could have given him the speech. It's a scam and a rip off. We will not be going back. read more

Always go here for basically everything. But recently I was very impressed with the customer service in the bakery department. It was the bakery manager who even assisted me. I wanted a picture on the cake, I was able to just text it to him and he uploaded it on their computer and printed it on the spot for the cake decorators to work on the next day. These managers are not exactly Rhodes scholars. lol This store has some of the worst customer service out of all the department stores in the spokane areas. Especially the managers in the children strollers department. This woman is a piece of work. I was in there to ask her some questions about strollers and ther items and she had no clue about her merchandise. She did not understand any word larger that a couple of syllables. She did not know where some items were made, so i checked and it said Fabrique in USA or Hecho in USA. She had no clue what that meant. The items were a mess, no order to items...electronics was just as bad. they had to huddle to answer a easy phone question and did not know what trhe difference in laptops were. This has got to be one of the worst Walmart's I've ever been to. They are frequently out of stock on many items, and the staff is cynical at best. None of them I talk to when I'm there has anything good to say about their job. They don't turn up the air conditioning enough in the summer (perhaps on purpose to get you to spend longer in the store). The poor customer service team in the garden center must work without air conditioning. I could barely stand it out there as a customer let alone having to work in that all day. They also recently changed the location of several items making it more confusing than it already was to find what you need. They need to take a lesson from the State Line, ID store. That store is always clean, friendly, has the proper temp, and is by far the best laid out store I've ever been to. If you have the option to find another Walmart in the Spokane area, avoid this one like the plague! read more
