I was having the worst day ever with cars and the final step to finish was wiper blades. I realized I had bought the wrong wiper blades and drove back into town 20 minutes flustered. Team leader Nick in the auto department helped me out with a smile and even helped install them. Simple task but after the day I was having it was like he rebuilt my engine. I prefer this Walmart than Walmart south. They always have the fruits and veggies I need. There's always people shopping but you can go early in the morning to avoid the crowd. I try to avoid this place during the weekend because of parking, it's just too busy. It's Walmart, more than likely they have what you need. I've attempted curb-side pickup several times now, and there's almost always something that goes wrong. An item is missing, they forget to give me half my order, they substituted without my consent, etc. but the last few times, I've actually ended up cancelling my order and driving away due to the wait time. This last go-around was the worst! My pickup was scheduled 3-4pm. I drove there as soon as I received the text saying my order was ready. The pickup line was completely full, but I parked where a spot was open, checked in and waited...I waited over an hour, attempted to call and the phone line had been disconnected. None of the cars around me were leaving or receiving service, but I continued to wait. Finally, I had somewhere to be and couldn't wait any longer. It was now well after 5pm, and I ended up cancelling my order. As I was driving away, the two workers that were fulfilling the pickup orders were taking their sweet time. Zero efficiency, zero motivation, zero concern for the number of customers waiting...This was my final straw with Walmart. So frustrating! read more

I hate that they don't keep both doors open. They tend to lock the doors on the pharmacy way early. Which makes no sense if self checkout seems to stay open on that side. It's very annoying. read more

Why is the North WM allowing non-shoppers to use the facility for walking/exercise. I have seen the same older gentleman, tall, walking with a cane, glasses and a mask in the past few months on a Saturday or Sunday shortly after they open. Only walking around, not shopping. I was helped at the jewelry counter by a shift lead named Ashley. Not only did she go ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me select the perfect watch but, she held onto the watch for me while I continued shopping. After I was ready to purchase the watch, she helped me take out a few links to make sure it fit me. She spent extra time with me helping me with sizing, doing everything in her power to help me with the perfect fit. Do not order anything and expect it within a decent amount of time. I ordered 5 items on Nov 16th. I got three after a week. I am still waiting on the other two. One has not even been picked up by the USPS yet and it says it was ready on Nov 17th. It says it is to be delivered tomorrow Nov 25th and I am in Minnesota. Apparently walmart is magical. This store is dark and depressing when you enter. Bathrooms were clean and most products were stocked.

This Walmart has a lot to offer, and I like wandering the aisles to see all they have. I always buy more than intended, but my haul lasts long. I also get groceries delivered from here, and the shoppers do an excellent job since they made some tweaks to their system. The only thing I don't like about this store is the flip side of it having so much selection. It's huge, and so the lines and the checkout process can be tiring. I deal with that by bringing my young son with me to take care of the checkout process and putting things in the car. Best of both worlds! read more

I've given them numerous chances but it just doesn't get any better. I am stunned by the level of incompetency here. Today was the final straw. I ordered more than $200 worth of groceries that was supposed to be delivered between 1-2pm, a suggested time because it was a "less busy time" according to their website. No big deal to me since I work from home. At 1:36pm I receive a call from Alex who tells me they can't find a driver to deliver my groceries and asks if it's ok to deliver them between 1:36-2:36pm. I said that was no problem. I thought it was kind of strange because the weather was normal that day with no forecast of snow. At 2:40 pm my phone rings and its Walmart again, same guy. He says they still can't find a driver to deliver my groceries and wonders if they can deliver them between 3-4pm. I say "Sure". After a few minutes I start thinking about all the issues I've had with Walmart; not just the delivery aspect but also when I used to use the drive up service which was horrible and led to the delivery service. Ten minutes later I called Walmart and canceled my grocery order. I am done with Walmart. I have now switched to Instacart which gives you way more options of stores to order from (grocery, pet stores). Walmart may be the cheapest but you get what you pay for. read more

I don't usually post negative reviews, if any... But we waited 40 minutes for our pick-up order. The app for pick-up includes the parking space you enter as well as your vehicle description, yet we had employees bring other people's orders 4 separate occasions asking if it was ours. Not exactly sure how their system works, but seems to be very inefficient. We could have driven, shopped on our own, and arrived home in the time that we waited for our order. The idea for "pick-up" is great, but execution very poor. -------------- Update: we ended up waiting about an hour, and after multiple conversations with various employees, we learned that there were missing items from our order. We ended up just taking those off our order. I don't mind if someone might be struggling if they still show that they're trying their best. We've all been there. I normally do not care for Walmarts. The ones in my experience have always been in the suburbs of Chicago, and they are likely where 98% of the pictures on "Peopleofwalmart.com" come from. I kid you not. I remain loyal to Target when around these parts. However, I was not around my area, and my mom and I just needed to run in for some water...or so we thought. Came in here for 5 things left with a cart load. It happens more often than not. Cheap prices and they have everything. You sacrifice service for it though. Sometimes the fresh produce can be iffy but the garden center is good. I get oil changes in the auto department their rates are low and I can do it while I'm shopping. They match competitors adds which would be great if I could remember to bring them in. You can find even more bargains in their clearance section. I find they have the lowest prices on town for light bulbs and batteries. read more

I go to this walmart because it's close to my home. The sales people do not go out of their way to help. They chat with their coworkers when they're checking you out. But walmart has a lot of products and good prices so I go there. I just usually leave there feeling crabby. read more

On November 17th I purchased a ring and two necklaces at the Walmart at 3400 55th St Nw, Rochester, MN 55901. It took 40 minutes to find an associate to help me, check me out and send the ring in for sizing. I was told it would take around 2 weeks to get the ring back. I was surprised to get a call on Nov. 25 that my ring was in. I told them I would be in on Monday Nov. 30. When I arrived, it took 30 minutes to be helped and I was told that the ring had not arrived and no one had called me. I was told to wait another week. I was unhappy, but agreed to wait. I called towards the end of that week and talked with an associate after being routed to the wrong department about 5 different times. The associate checked into the ring and said that the place that sizes the rings reported that it had been sent to the store, but the records said it had not arrived. It was missing and he would need to talk with his manager. He called back a day later and said they would need to send in another ring for me. I received the call that it had arrived yesterday. I went in today (December 17) at 4pm. It took over an hour for the Walmart staff to find my ring. One customer service staff member was very helpful. She stayed with me during the entire process and was very personable. I appreciated her help during a very frustrating process. First we tried to open the safe to get my ring. The helpful staff member could not open it so we had to wait around 20 minutes before an Assistant Manager, to arrive. He messed with the safe for a few minutes and then left and did not return for 30 minutes. When he finally did return, he had a sheet of paper and both he and the associate tried to open the safe unsuccessfully. He called for help and we waited 10 more minutes before another Assistant Manager arrived. He opened the safe and left within 3 minutes of arriving. By now it was over an hour. The first assistant manager started to leave without saying much and I told him that the associate was very helpful and I appreciated her work, but that I would be complaining to corporate. He apologized and left. He and Randall did appear before I left and gave me a $20 gift card for my trouble. This does not make up for the length of time wasted. This process was ridiculous. I spent almost 3 hours between purchasing the ring, talking on the phone with one of the associates and picking up the ring the two times. I will definitely be reluctant to ever buy jewelry from Walmart again if this is the type of service I can expect. Something needs to be done about the lack of jewelry department staff in afternoons and evenings to assist customers. I was told that the jewelry staff had been working at the store for years and don't want to work after 5 pm. This is a issue. At least 4 people were unable to receive the help they were asking for at the jewelry department while I was there. There was also huge difficulty in opening the safe even when they had to combination due to how old it was. I am severely unhappy with my experience at Walmart. read more
