Stock photos used by owner are a gross misrepresentation, this place doesn't have clean floors, clean walls or decent shelving holding organised merchandise! The building has not been properly maintained or updated. Atrocious restrooms look like a truck stop murder scene in a horror movie. It's a true dishonor to the brand. The ones getting groceries for pickup orders are constantly in the way and the reason the store is so packed, no one can get anything. And when getting curbside, it feels like they never bag anything. I still need to carry these items into my home. Why do they avoid using bags? Half of my order wasn't bagged once. Milk, chips, grapes, why are we not bagging these items? Did your parent not make you bring groceries in from the car?

Jay was working the fish department & he was awesome! The frozen Gulf shrimp was in 2 different places. He came from behind the counter to assist me. Now that's the HEB customer service that I love. Thanks Jay for improving a disappointing experience. We only bought a few items. There was no HEB chocolate syrup & the hamburger buns were almost out. Big city HEBs don't do this. My store is Buffalo Heights. I'm spoiled.

When we entered, there was a marked difference in the temperature of the mall and the temperature in the store. Okay, perhaps their AC is on the fritz. We kept shopping, and saw an ad for BOGOHO Levi's. Okay. We found what we were looking for, but wanted to pay. Every register closed. The one middle eastern lady we found was too busy talking to her friend, she wouldn't take our payment. She told us to go to cosmetics, where we had to wait ~7 minutes for some random dude to pull off his "high finance" at the register. When it was our turn, we talked to the very nice cashier who told us the AC has been out every Summer since she started working there....FIVE years ago. Seriously? After payment, we left cosmetics and found the chatty Cathy employee still talking to, and helping another employee pay. Get it together, JCP. Who the heck wants to try on clothes when they're sweating? Fix your AC and get some employees who want to help.

Located inside the mall, this JC Penny has the tendency to get packed. This was definitely the case…read moreon my last trip a week or so before Christmas. The store is laid out in the traditional big box, JC Penny design. They have a very large clothing section for Men, boys, girls and women. Prices are reasonable, and they always claim to have a sale going on. I think the sale is purely a marketing ploy, but either way, the prices seem fair. The staff was friendly even with the onslaught of holiday shoppers. I did like this store, but prefer the more modern stand alone stores not attached to a mall. It seemed that those types are easier to navigate.

Besides, there's no room for them to expand. Surprisingly, there have been a few times when I went to get something at the WM close by my house, and they didn't have it! If I didn't feel like doing the somewhat stressful drive to North Beaumont, I'd speed through the countryside to the Bridge City WM. Most of the time, the Bridge City WM had what I was looking for. Claustrophobics, beware: The aisles are too narrow to turn your buggy around. That's how crammed in things are here. Staff are their normal unhelpful selves. No grocery section, but they do have nearly everything else. So if you want to pick up some food along with your household goods, then walk a short way across the parking lot to Popeye's. They reopened near the end of 2025. Have fun . . .

H-E-B has some big stores, and it also has smaller stores, and this is one of them…read more Yeah yeah yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I rarely go into this part of the Coonie Triangle. But I have found myself around Port Arthur a few times, and on occasion I get some of the family's food while in the area. Mostly at this H-E-B. It's a little drive from Freeway 73, in an older but safe neighborhood. It's smaller, so that answers your question. Not only is the building smaller, the selection is too, and it feels cramped. So far, I've been able to snag what I needed. The prices are low, too. But I saw no pre-made deli sandwiches, no meat market, few household goods like TP or kitchen supplies. For these, go to Beaumont. Part of the small H-E-B has to do with population. BMT has as many people as the whole area from Nederland to Bridge City, and Port Arthur has a larger and worse ghetto. So this little store is fitting for this area. Bottom line, this H-E-B may be one-stop shopping, but seek out other stores too if you can't find what you need here
