I had one of the worst customer experiences I've ever dealt with from Walmart, and I will not be staying quiet about it. I was charged for items that I NEVER received. The order was marked as "delivered," but nothing ever showed up at my door. At this point, the only logical conclusion is that the delivery driver either misdelivered it or outright stole the package. Either way, Walmart failed completely to ensure I actually received what I paid for. What's even worse is how they handled the situation. Instead of taking responsibility and immediately reshipping the items, Walmart refused to send replacements. They left me stuck dealing with their broken system while holding onto my money. Customer service was an absolute nightmare. I couldn't get a single representative based in the United States. After being bounced around, I ended up speaking to a supervisor named Angela in the Philippines, who showed zero urgency or real concern. Her solution? I have to wait up to 10 days just to get an answer about a refund--for items I never received in the first place. So let me get this straight: Walmart takes my money, fails to deliver my order, refuses to fix the problem quickly, and then expects me to wait even longer just to MAYBE get my money back? This isn't just poor service--it feels like outright theft. I've been completely mistreated, ignored, and left without both my items and my money. I truly hate to write a one star review..... I'm currently sitting over an hour to pick up a grocery order.....many cars have come after me and have waited less than 10 minutes. We called and were told people that didn't pick up their orders the previous day have priority because they are ahead of us in the queue. So, we follow the rules, call and tell Walmart we are on the way, check in and give them the number of the stall we are at when arriving that means nothing? Hopefully corporate reads this.... There has to be a better way/system. FYI..... It has now been 1.5 hours....and still no groceries....... Did I perhaps enter an episode of the Twilight Zone.....? I checked with the gentlemen that bring the orders out and was told there are only two people working, my order hasn't been checked yet.....No idea when it will be ready.... To top if off, the bathrooms are closed!! Just Ducky!!! Total time 1 hour and 55 minutes..... we were shorted a bag of water softener salt....tried to call...hit zero for operator and never got one. Im not usually one for negative reviews at all but this is pretty upsetting. I went to Walmart February 21st, Saturday at around 1:45 pm. I went to customer service because at self checkout the machine wouldn't take my $10 bill since it was a little beat up, no problem, I leave my mom at the register while I try to exchange the $10. There are 3 workers there. 2 of them are snacking on treats while I'm waiting to exchange my 10 dollars with a line I'm sure behind my mom at the self check out register, and the only woman willing to help after helping somebody else said "they don't do that here". And I'm confused because all I'm asking for is to exchange the $10, but after checking for a minute that it was real she asked her workers to open another register to grab a 10 since she didn't have one, and they just sat there continued snacking and giggling.. so she takes extra time to do it herself and I eventually get it, and my poor mom was waiting at that self checkout for awhile. What is it with the customer service here? Please do better. read more

Whatever you do, don't take your vehicle in for an oil change at this location! I made an appointment for 3 in the afternoon & was right on time. Waited 10 minutes for someone to come to the counter. She looked up my appointment & took my keys. She said it would be about an hour & a half. I was fine with that because I'm a retail manager & I understand being short staffed. I waited an hour & a half for them to tell me they couldn't service my Hummer because they had no information on the vehicle. I asked him what that even meant, when you can open the hood & see that it takes 5W-30 oil. He stated that the girl who checked me in didn't get all the information they needed. HUH? I said I can give him the information now & wait...again. He said that they were not taking any more customers even though the lady who walked in after I was waiting an hour got checked in for an oil change! I actually held my tongue pretty well for as furious as I was! I said ok fine, I guess I'll just take it to Jiffy Lube & this guy had the audacity to say that Jiffy Lube was the worst place to take it. I said I disagree.. Walmart pick up is a big no no. You will wait a very long time for your groceries, even past the hour you are supposed to get it. Also, they will claim to not have things in stock that are in stock! They also will give you rotten food. Today I got chicken breast that smelled rotten through the bad. Sure enough they expired today. My bananas are very very green and in the past they always give you strawberries that are moldy. This Walmart just does not care what they give you. read more

I used the delivery service since I am handicap & broke my foot in 2 places. Let me tell you, Adrian is a fantastic person. I went out to get my things while he was getting things from his car. I picked up the school supplies that I was taking to school intending to take them to my car. He told me he would take care of them & proceeded to do so. He had already put half a dozen bags on my porch but he picked them back up & put them in my car! Way to go Oswego Walmart, great job trading your employees to be helpful! read more

I do not live in the area, but my daughter has had school related activities at the local high schools the last four years. The store is clean and fairly well stocked. However this is the only Walmart that I have ever been stopped and detained. I do not use the self check out. At the end of 2022 I had a person at the door go through the receipt and literally transfer my bags from one cart to another. This lead to a missing bag, luckily was just a few items. When I called to ask about the bag, it went no where. Today I went in and on my way out was stopped. Once again I went through a cashier. The employee that stopped me at the exit looked through the receipt that totaled $332 stating she could not locate the viva paper towel purchase and the toilet paper. She then very loudly stated "Did you not scan these? Admit you did not scan. It will be easier to just tell me you were stealing. You are stealing." I looked at her and said, "No I did not scan the items, the cashier did." Then I proceeded to show her the items on the receipt. She very unprofessionally said "well it is a long receipt." I said "Yes, but we both know that you just accused me of trying to steal less than $20 of paper goods after spending over $300." The customers that were allowed to leave without being stopped included individuals with electronics and nonwere not of color as I am. I understand that certain items may trigger a receipt check, but it is not an excuse for basically profiling. Unacceptable and honestly sad. I'm very annoyed that I get up at the crack of dawn at 7am when the auto department opens for an oil change I only had 2 people in front of me, but it took 30 minutes t get to me and then I'm told it will be an 1 1/2 hour wait because the guy in front of me was getting tires and there's only 1 tech. Clean, newer Wal-Mart store. My parents do a lot of shopping here instead of the equal in distance store on Route 59 in Naperville. Good for a few grocery items or the few retail items you need. But pick one side - grocery or retail. The store is massive, it feels bigger than any of their other stores. It is agonizing when you need to walk across the entire store because you need say, bananas and an oil filter. Because then you have to wait in line, and the lines here are longer. On the plus side, there's lots of other shopping in the area. Target, Old Navy, Michael's, Best Buy, Lane Bryant, and lots more I can't remember. Still better than the Naperville store. But Plainfield is much better. read more

This 5-star review is based on a single interaction I had with an employee named Leo, whom I briefly met while loading my groceries into my car. While I was inside the store it had snowed quite a bit and Leo was not only collecting all the carts strewn all over the lot, but also using a brush to wipe the snow and scrape the ice off cars as their respected owners came out. Now if that isn't great service I don't know what is! Nice job Leo - keep it up, you'll go far in this world! read more

I waited 20 minutes in the deli area , asked a cashier scouts they find the person who was suppose to be working there. Cashier paged the manger 3x when she finally came over she didn't acknowledge me or the other gentleman waiting. The manager looked at the station and then left. Another 10 minutes passed and no service. I tried calling the store manager while in the store someone picked up and hung up. I left as did the other customers waiting. I then called again a man answered the phone , I asked for a manager and they left me on hold for another 8 minutes. I hung up. Moral of the story this is why I use Target as much as possible and Amazon Fresh. Can't wait until Amazon and Target put Walmart out of business , it's time for them to go like Kmart. When you get so big you don't care about any resemblance of customer service, it's time for you to fail. read more

A Walmart is a Walmart so the variables from location to location are minimal but here are a few notes that might be useful: 1) This Walmart is the cleanest, most organized Walmart I have ever been into. Ever. 2) During the day, the store is lit by way of the sunlights in the ceiling. Yay for going green! 3) The place is huge. Almost too large. I know they have to house a lot of stuff but it takes like a full five minutes to walk from one end to the other. 4) Unlike their competitors, nobody is managing checkout. If the lines get too long, that just means you wait too long. There are about 30 checkout lines but nobody to run 25 of them on a busy Saturday afternoon. This seems odd to me. read more

I usually avoid doing business with Walmart and now I remember why. Long story short I was relieved to find a number of items on their online grocery pickup that I couldn't find elsewhere. So I put in and order and scheduled a pickup for the next evening. Sounded easy, order online pick up the next day. About an hour before pickup I get an email saying about 7 of the 15 items I had ordered are "not in stock". I think this is just some scam to get you to order your groceries from them. They say they have all these items but cancel half your order at the last second. Now you can pick up what is left or get in the car and go to the grocery stores like you probably should have in the first place. What a crappy crappy crappy company. This Walmart is always clean, well-stocked, and has a very fresh produce selection -- something the other Super Walmarts leave to hit or miss. It's uber convenient for us in Aurora, and we don't mind the drive. I've tried their optical services, to order contacts or glasses. Both instances, the staff has been great and very helpful. I happen to be over here because I was shopping at Carters so I went to exchange a shirt I purchased at the Shorewood Walmart. This store had the shirt priced at 80 cents more and wouldn't price match it when it was an even exchange. I understand 80 cents isn't much but it's the principal of an exchange. I should not have to pay more for the SAME item in a different size. The customer service manager who I spoke to was rude and obviously doesn't have any customer service skills. I (used to) shop here all the time. I've saved up over $100 using the "Savings Catcher" on my app. The last time I shopped at Walmart I had over $300 worth of items in my cart. When they got to my beer and liquor they refused to sell it to me because I had my 25 yo Son with me and he didn't have his wallet. I was making the entire purchase and I'm 55 YEARS OLD. Drove to the store to pick up a particular item that was supposed to be in stock when we arrived we're told that the item was not in stock asked if we could purchase the one that was on display and was told no we didn't ask to speak to Justin the manager who after 20 minutes did not show up to the department so we picked the three items that we had paid for them and as we were checking out it didn't seem like anybody was very happy with their job especially the front end manager who seemed to come up to check out somebody who is purchasing liquor in the cashier was not 21 thank this for shopping and that was it I don't think I'll be doing my business at this particular location going forward. They have permanently lost me as a customer! Their Automotive Care Center did not perform a service I brought my car in for. Once I realized the covered service was not done I reached out to corporate. What a joke. After 3 weeks and promises of calls from the Store Manager, Market Manager and Regional Manager I filed a BBB complaint. A person posing as with the Market Manager (but then claimed in the BBB response to be the store manager) called me. She reported inaccurate information back to the BBB to get the complaint closed. I am done. They do not care about their customers. I would much rather spend my money on a company with at least a little integrity. read more

They are definitely well stocked and it helps that they mostly open. Appreciate their inventory level; but it is a pain to shop. There are no benches or seats to sit anywhere and you do get tired owing to the size of the store. It would also help if they have more than a few people roaming the aisles; so that we could ask for help/more information when needed. There are more women at the trial/changing room than are needed watching you like a hawk and making you feel like you're a thief. It would also help if they had more ethnic sections and varieties of food items (such as Indian herbs and spices). It is helpful that they a Subway in store. They should also be more staffed/have more counters open during checkout, especially during weekends and holiday season. read more

Well over all my experience has been decent in general, but as of yesterday one of the surveillance staff Linda completely over stepped her boundaries and accused me of stealing. Here is the kicker,I was with my family that day buying some stuff for my sisters party and my mom payed. However she only stopped me and my sister.If she did her job right and actually looked over the footage she would have seen this. After proving her wrong and showing her the receipt, my mom had to walk back into the store and the lady blatantly refused to apologize. So to sum it up this experience in particular was just awful.
