Walmart, oh Walmart.  You are my favorite place in all the universe to people watch.  If your converstion gets interrupted by an intercom saying theirs a brawl in the toy section and you need to decide whether to go watch or leave the store, you are probably at a Walmart. My favorite thing to do at Walmart is take $20 movies, put them in the $5 bin and wait for someone to get excited.  Just kidding, I never did that.......as an adult.  Usually you can find me in the electronics section or in the toy section marvelling at the biggest nerf gun they have. So long story short, you know what Walmart is and this is an ok one.  Come if you want. read more

Walmart Supercenter - a walmart store - Department Stores Near Me - Niles, Michigan

I attempted to return a couple of poor quality produce items that I bought through Walmart home delivery. Once I did the online return, I was advised to take the items to the store to complete the return process. When I attempted the return, the employee at the service desk (name tag Leah) was horribly rude, stating they shouldn't have to put up with spoiled produced coming back to them, because it was messy. She told me to dispose of it myself, and they also didn't process a refund. read more

I put in an online order and had to cancel it because they then found out the item wasn't in stock. They never credited me the money back into my account. They said they credited my account back but not even the total of the purchase price. I went into the store and customer service told me I had to call to resolve it because it was an online pick up order. I called and they said I needed to call and also get my bank on the line. I had called my bank (Chase Bank) originally and they said it was a vendor issue and they couldn't do anything about it. Walmart customer service is absolute trash. Avoid the niles location at all costs. read more

This Walmart is the best out of all of them...I know where every single item is at...I'm not a fan of prices going up on just about everything but what are you going to do...I probably shop there maybe 3 times a week. read more

This store was dirty, a lot of items out of stock such as creamer, milk, dairy, water, eggs, etc. We got to the checkout and the girl's name was Janaya. She didn't say hi or greet us at all. She was about as friendly as a rattle snake. She wouldn't look at us. We even did her a favor by taking her scanning gun and scanned our water and cat food. Needless to say, I will be glad when our Aldi's is built because I will shop there instead of our Walmart!! read more

Will encourage any and everyone to shop elsewhere. Kindness and common curtesy go a long way. Leah at the customer service counter is the saddest excuse of customer service. read more

Received the trashiest most hillbilly level customer service from Leah in "customer service." I remember in the 90s Walmart exclusively hired friendly people who were usher to work and were friendly to their customers. This employee blurted out some type of illiterate noise posed as a question. Throw a explicit policy and service out of the window. I don't know how anyone could be so disgusting read more

Cindy, Kacey, young lady from register 12 and her crew from yesterday between 10/11am were all excellent... I found 2 associates over by the clearance aisle that were both very kind, helpful and accommodating... I asked them while stocking if the could assist on obtaining a price on a clearance item! These associates without hesitation smiled and immediately answered my questions quickly, efficiently. They were back to stocking in no time... I have been told sooooo many times by a Wal-Mart associate (at other locations) "If you need to check a price, we have price checkers at 2 spots in the store." I was in a hurry yesterday came in shopped for exactly what I needed and only was through the store so quickly due to all the proficient abilities of the multiply staff I encountered yesterday... If those ladies had read me the "Price Checker Line" on me, I truthfully would have said ok thank u, put the items back and walked away from something I needed with in my weekly budget. Honestly, if the 1st people that I speak to in the store and ask for guidance on a store item isn't helpful and wont attempt to locate that information I need I just leave. Those businesses clearly does not need my money. I wont shop at any establishment that is ok with allowing its employees to not be properly informed of proper customer service. I come to a store to shop not learn how to work there. Yesterday I had so many complications with my Wal-Mart pay on my app, but it wasn't as serious to me. Due to the fact that my over all experience was very helpful from the moment I walk out of the car and was offered a cart by Kasey and the gentlemen that was pushing the carts me to the door. This staff never gave up on trying any suggestion I had to use the money I has accumulated through my Savings Catcher . It took about 35 min, 3 registers and many minds to finally make my app register to the scan code. But they NEVER gave up. Honestly this is the Only Wal-Mart that has more often exceeded my expectations than any other one I have ever been to... Thank you guys for making my day easier and my life get more organized. BEWARE!... Especially if you're female and have a gentle demeanor, ie they think you won't put up a fuss and don't know much about cars: If you're buying less than 4 tires they might put a nail or screw in a tire that you're NOT planning on replacing and tell you it's not repairable to get you to pay for yet another tire. When I was growing up my dad had told me to always keep auto mechanics in your eyesight while they're working on your car to keep them honest. I was too trusting of the current tire techs at this Walmart and got burned. Never again!! read more

Walmart is mostly unremarkable - especially when it comes to customer service. Only twice have I been impressed. Multiple times I've asked employees about specific items only to have to track the things down and then educate THEM as to the location. Lax and uncaring attitudes. Are these the people who are gonna be getting $15.00 an hour minimum wages? Pathetic. read more

Sure the prices are great but the employees tend to be rude and don't understand basic customer service. I went there to buy some school supplies. After a few "I don't know" responses and the employee walking away, I wondered if people went to school in this area. Eventually, I found the school supplies and asked the employee stocking that section if they carried the 4 color ink pens and she quickly said "we have what we have and that's it." And went on as if I hadn't said a thing. Winners. If you want low prices and snarky attitudes, then this is the wal mart for you. If not, drive a little further and visit the one in Mishawaka off of Cleveland rd. read more

Pick up service is excellent. Most items in stock. No charge for the service. And no tipping allowed. More reliable than other grocery stores. read more

Okay, it's a walmart. I don't expect great service, but I got good service. I went to self check out and had trouble with a coupon and the clerk helped me and was very friendly. The two employees seemed to be happy and helpful. This store is a bit backwards in terms of their departments and organization, but it's walmart. I don't go to walmart for a pleasure trip. read more

My fiancé made a pickup order for 6pm. She left at 530 and got a email for order being delayed at 6 when she was supposed to pick up. It's now 805 pm she has been told the order is still being processed or the order didn't go through. We have kids and our day was planned to have groceries tonight for us to eat and Our kids are usually in bed by 830 shes still waiting on our order and is 30 minutes away from home. when I talked to the manager she said that we should've waited for a email saying it's ready. Well that doesn't help when your order says pickup time is 6 pm and you get a delayed email at the time you're supposed to pickup. This place is trash for customer service. It doesn't take 2 hours to get a grocery list together and you should never give your customers a go around for 2 hours because you can't keep up, atleast give a heads up when you're behind on workers not a go around. As a manager she should've stepped up and got the grocery list around herself after realizing a customer has waited over two hours for it or just offered a refund. read more

So I was here earlier in the Niles Walmart Supercenter with my boyfriend and we were just getting some things like any other person, everything was all good like usual until we went to the exit doors. There was 2 female Walmart employees standing there and one of them said "Have a good day" in like a mocking/childish manner, it was on purpose because they started laughing after she said that to us? They were not taking their job seriously, and I didn't even know these employees. One of the most childish things I have seen in a while from people in their working environment. I don't recommend hiring the the younger Walmart greeters, they should do other roles in Walmart. The older/elder Walmart greeters do that job so much better, they're are always nice and respectful even if they sometimes ask to see your receipt at the exit door. I hope next time that I do go there that there is an older Walmart greeter and not someone that's immature and rude. If this happens again, I will not be going back to this exact Walmart, thanks for reading : ) read more

Absolutely no such thing as customer service here... been waiting for more than an hour to simply buy a PlayStation. All you have to do is open the window I'll grab it, pay, and leave... like how hard can it be for someone to open a window read more

I don't mind that Walmart relies on low prices and not customer service to get customers. But is it too much to ask that the check-out person ensure you collect all your bags from the carousel? I had two bags in my hands and asked if that was all of them--because I thought there should be one more. She dismissively said it was just two. Nope--drove 20 minutes home and found that several items were missing. Drove right back, stood in line at customer service, and was told I would have to re-shop everything. No apology was given--even when I explained how unhelpful the clerk was. You know who you are #5--and my bag of groceries had to be right under your nose! The guy in "customer service" said it happens all the time and also confirmed that there are no consequences for the clerks who don't take any responsibility to ensure there are no bags left on their side of the carousel. All I can say is clerks like #5 are lucky Walmart has low employee standards. read more

I have shopped at quite a number of Wal-Marts in the U.S. but this is the worst! I have to admit that often the employees are nice, but I have had two incidents that really made me unhappy. First Incident: I was shopping with a friend, and we were double-charged for an item from the fabric section. The person who cut it had made some mistake with the machine that prints out the cost of a piece of cloth, and two were printed out. So I showed the cashier that we had been charged for three pieces of cloth, but only two were in the bag. The cashier saw the extra sticker, but did not know how to rectify the situation. We waited while a manager was called. The manager did not know how to fix the mistake at the register. I was not going to go away with a bogus charge on my credit card. Fortunately for me, the lady behind us in line worked at Wal-Mart and had just been doing some shopping before going home, SHE knew how to fix the problem and helped the other two, (remember, one was the acting manager in the store) who didn't know how to correct an overcharge or cancel a purchase. Next incident: one day I decided, since I was going to Niles, to return the family's backlog of bottles and cans for store credit. The machines appeared to work, except that one of them stiffed me. It said I had put in 12 bottles and it owed me $1.20, but it did not spit out a slip of paper for store credit. I went to another machine and finished my bottles without further incident, and went inside to report the problem. I tried twice, sthe first time to the greeter. Both employees i told looked at me, laughed, and said nothing. Apparently laughing (stupidly, I thought) and saying nothing, is how they deal with bottle machines that stiff customers. I should have gone to the customer service desk, but was not in the mood to deal with any more stupid, and WAS in the mood to get ugly, so I went home. I have been in this store probably 10 to 12 times, and "only" had two visits where I wanted to scream. I don't think only one star is too low, but I will give two to be generous. No more using Niles Wal-Mart's cheating bottle return machines, though. Everyone, be sure to check your receipts for errors! read more

They aren't a friendly staff, lose your items you have shipped to them for pick up, don't keep items stocked that are good sellers, lots of moldy smells in the produce section, and they train their staff about products...you get tired of hearing "I don't know" when you ask about something! read more

Trashiest Walmart I've ever been to. Shopping carts piled up outside, taking up a ton of parking spaces. Carts always have old bags or trash in them. I would blame the customers for that, but it's the employees' job to take care of it, which they don't. There's hardly someone there to greet the customer, so you could just steal stuff it you wanted. Employees are never helpful at this location. Sure it's Walmart, but compared to other Walmart stores this one is complete garbage. read more

While I will agree that some few employees could use better customer service training, for the most part I find them pleasant and helpful. Come on, its Michigan, always a rotten apple or two. There are also outstanding employees.Tanya in the Pharmacy dept., in particular, and Tiffany in the Optical Dept. They are very helpful friendly. Tiffany put extra effort into something she certainly did not have to, and Tanya is always available and knows the stock. Thanks. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life short of checkout people manager had the lady open her counter for us took 36 minutes to check out with a cart full of clothes and a handful of food items she constantly complained that she should have been off of work. the checkout lady kept asking if I was buying clothes for school kept trying to talk kept stopping constantly. the grandbaby that I had was crying because he was hungry the other children were fussing cuz they were hungry and all she kept doing was asking them what was wrong do you need something instead of continuing on the checkout.I told her I had two boxes of diapers she scanned one and then when I was ready to pay she said I didn't tell her the other one and I told her twice I didn't notice if she had scanned it I assume that she did I tried to have person with me leave with one of the carts so they can get the kids outside and they said you can't leave the building until you're finished checking out. My bill was over $400 I would just expect a little bit more courtesy and speed would have been helpful.the person checking me out also kept reminding me constantly that she had been at work all day and because she had to check us out she had to stay later.I will never go in that Walmart again and I would recommend if you want nice people fast service find a different Walmart read more

Large store poor service. They have a lot of items but it seems like everything we want is discontinued as they change their product lineup. Poor service from employees and managers when we had questions. They tell you to watch for falling prices but it seems like the few items that we used to buy there kept going up in price. Watch out for the produce at this location as we have found it rotting in the store or often as soon as we take it home. Also, inspect their bakery items well as we have experienced mold and little bugs on their bread items. We have happily moved to Sheltons Market for our Produce and Meijers for eveything else. The extra drive is worth dealing with high customer service levels and quality products. read more

Auto Service center is AWFUL - worst customer service you have ever experienced. Showed up at 4:45 on a Tuesday to have oil change. They were not taking any more cars. 4 people in the garage and 1 car just finishing up. Have waited there forever for inept mechanics and staff that can't check you in or out many times in the past. Then they pull this -claiming they were down a tech. Went to Midas and SAVED $5 on the oil change a 1/2 hour later. This isn't an isolated situation - it's habit with the 'team' here. Avoid it AND SAVE money. read more

I cannot understand how these people can hold a job. They are slow, rude, and flat out LAZY. I have, on more then one occasion left my items on the check out belt, or left the cart sitting in line and walked out. The shelves are a mess. Walked in one day and there was not a cart in sight. You had to go into the parking lot to get a cart or wait for someone to go out and get them. I drive to South Bend now. read more

Seldom do I find an employee there that is helpful or has a good attitude. I went to customer service for a pick up that I ordered on line that was supposed to be ready. The gal that was at the customer service counter treated me like I was a moron. She pointed to the back of the store and said see the pick up sign, with a tone like I was a real idiot that I didn't notice that. That was the end of what she had to say. How about this response instead.........Our pick up counter is at the back of the store there by the electronics department. You'll see the pick up sign there on the wall, and the person at the counter will take care of you, and thanks for shopping at Walmart, is there anything else I can help you with. Then again it is Walmart and it is Niles..............so I guess I should understand. read more

Never enough registers open and I will generally have to wait in the check out line a long time. Although I save money by shopping there, I pay through frustration. I have learned to go as early in the day as possible -that helps. I have also noticed that by Sunday, they are poorly stocked. read more
