A True Transformation: My Home Renovation Experience with Creations by Caty…read more Recently, I moved into a home that had so much potential -- a fantastic location, a spacious backyard perfect for entertaining, and a beautifully finished basement. On paper, it sounded like a dream. But once I settled in, the reality began to surface. The previous homeowners had clearly neglected many aspects of the property. It seemed like a rushed attempt to make things "presentable" for selling, but the cosmetic upgrades were outdated at best -- and in some areas, just plain questionable. Tacky finishes, poor craftsmanship, and design choices that left me scratching my head. Enter Creations by Caty -- the team that completely changed everything for me. From the moment I met with Caty and her incredible team, I felt confident that I was in good hands. We had one planning meeting before I left on a pre-planned out-of-state trip. That's right -- I handed over my keys and put the entire renovation into their hands. I knew I wouldn't be there to oversee the progress, but I also knew I didn't need to be. Their professionalism, vision, and attention to detail were obvious from day one. What impressed me most was Caty's ability to see the full potential of the space immediately. For instance, she quickly pointed out that a wall dividing the kitchen wasn't load-bearing -- and suggested we remove it to open the entire area. That alone transformed the energy and flow of the house. But she didn't stop there. She designed a custom kitchen island that doubled my storage space, complete with roll-out drawers on both sides -- practical and beautiful! She also chose sleek black accents that tied together the new hardware and lighting, giving everything a modern yet timeless feel that fits perfectly with my lifestyle. While I was away, the team worked tirelessly to bring our shared vision to life. Caty kept me updated with photos and check-ins, but truthfully, I had full trust in her. She helped guide the selection of paint colors, flooring, countertops, and more. Every decision was intentional and cohesive, and the result was even more stunning than I could have ever imagined. As if that wasn't enough, Caty went the extra mile to make sure I came home to a truly finished space. She styled the front porch and back deck to feel welcoming and warm, and even organized areas inside the home to make my transition back as smooth as possible. Walking through the door that first time felt like stepping into a dream -- one I didn't think could be real until that moment. There truly are no words to express the gratitude I feel for the team at Creations by Caty. Their passion, creativity, and hard work not only transformed a neglected house -- they gave me a home. I will forever be thankful for the love and care they poured into every detail. If you're looking for someone to help bring your vision to life -- or maybe even help you see a vision you didn't know was possible -- look no further. Creations by Caty is the real deal.

Caty helped me with additional updates like light and bathroom fixtures, wall art and furniture. She is budget conscious and very responsive to questions and schedules. Caty kept each task moving and the updating was completed much faster than I projected. Once the lake home was complete we needed to sell our home in Brainerd. The house had good bones but after 20 years it needed updating as well. With Caty's guidance we spent about $4000 on paint and carpet. Caty's staging beautifully transformed each neutrally painted room into a welcoming space. My adult daughters didn't recognize their former bedrooms. We had multiple offers from prospective buyers in days and sold it for 20K over asking in one week. I am certain that Caty's staging contributed to our successful sale. I highly recommend Caty's staging services. She has a vast inventory of furnishings and will not be satisfied until every last detail is perfect. Karen & Jon
