Miserable experience each time I have to go there. Every employee seems to absolutely hate being there. Most of them mumble and act as if I'm bothering them. Not one smile. The deli is the absolute worst. They walk up to help and just look at you. No hello, just a sour face. I tell them what I want and they just grab it, walk away, toss my order on the counter and walk away. Only one guy (missing a front tooth) at the deli that was on top of it. Nice, quick and accommodating. Everyone else seems to hate their lives. One employee with a cart swiped the back of my ankle and didn't say anything like I was the one in her way. There was a woman named Rosaro working at the service desk who was absolutely horrible to me when I tried to return an online order. She couldn't figure out how to do it and told me I couldn't return the item. A manager was called who finally figured it out, after much back and forth with me, the customer. It was ridiculous. Please , do not shop this store unless you don't mind being stopped at the door and have your receipt checked . We have been spot checked the last few times in this place. I sit on the bench and wait for my wife to finish shopping . I'm watching the first spot checker ..., she's on her phone .. and customers are walking by . The guy who relieves her let's a few people come by him ... then stops my wife .... asks for a receipt ... then looks at the receipt . note: he doesn't look in the bags ... just looks at the receipt... and let's her go . I stand up, walk over and tell him if he's gonna spot check ... then he should check everything in the bags . no response from him at all . Come on Walmart, those spot checks make a person look like a thief . I sent them ( Walmart) a report about the incident . They made light of it .. and sent me a message from a lady named Dallas .. stating they always check baskets that have large items ... or loose items . I sent them a note back .. telling them it was only 4 bags .We just ran in for bread and desert . And come out feeling like a thief. personally I'm through with these guys . Had a friend who took a job at this location due to him losing his primary job as a server because of COVID19. I was told how insensitive the manager was to all the new hires who recently just started and was quick to tell them that if they didn't pick up the pace for them to leave b/c she didn't need them and how she has other people lined up already to take their spot. I'm sorry but we're in the middle of a PANDEMIC and I'm sure everyone who took that job are financially struggling. Purchased an iPhone on Dec 6 as a Christmas gift. Brought it in to exchange/return on Dec 28 and was told they have a 14 day return on phones... It is a Christmas gift- even Verizon has an extended return policy on phones for the holidays. The store told me I would have to go to the online customer care and online said the store . I went back and checked info from purchase and finally found this in the fine print once I clicked on 2 links to get to it. I checked out with an over $500 air conditioning unit. I asked if someone could help me load it and waited up at the front of the store for over 30 minutes. The manager acted like she called someone and then she did her best to avoid eye contact with me and just hoped that I would leave. I had three children with me so she made a good bet. Such a horrible place. I ended up trying to load it myself being a barely 5 foot woman. I had a nice gentleman inside the store load it in my cart. And then I had a very old man offer to help unload it. So the customers are great but the store is awful. The manager is the worst. read more

Whether you need apples or worms Walmart has the goods. It's a super store alright, (guns/ammo, paint, produce, clothes, jewelry, decor, bedding, furniture, optometrist, kitchen goods, electronics, food, plants, gardening equipment and a pharmacy). It's usually very clean and orderly (during renovations are the exception) and the staff are super friendly, some even very helpful despite lacking actual knowledge of products. It's not your typical Walmart crowd here, mostly well-to-do lake residents or weekenders up for a visit. Oh sure the occasional snaggle toothed obese back boobed tattooed methadone trailer queen wearing a torn tank top & spandex pants will limp in to score some beer & beef jerky, but overall it's a very respectable crowd of middle age to elderly shoppers. Reckon my only gripe would be the snail's pace at the pharmacy. Those nice staffers must have been trained by the California DMV and are self medicated with SlowMo syrup while watching the clock for their next break. Folks be waiting there so long they end up buying deodorant & pillows to wait out the long stay on the bench. Lots of reasons it's so slow, but dang... if you're in pain this wait is excruciatingly longer than necessary. Bring a hard cover book cause no electric device will last long enough. Seriously! Love this Walmart, but for really fresh produce I'll drive to Kroger or HEB. Overall this Walmart is perfectly convenient and prices are good. Yeah, it's a lot of China quality stuff, but realistically it's Walmart... not Macy's or Tiffany's. Y'all gets what youse pay fer! read more

If I have to shop at Walmart, this is the best one. This location has many access points from 105 and on Walden Rd., two main entrances and plenty of parking. The average shopper here doesn't subscribe to your typical "People of Walmart" look. Rather, it seems that the majority of shoppers here, myself included, pop into this location in order to stock up for weekend visits to their nearby lake houses. So, if Walmart people-watching is your thing, you're going to be disappointed. But, if you like to ogle at DILFs or check out housewives in their swimsuits, cover-ups and flip flops, then this is the place for you. Walmart's produce and grocery selection rivals that of nearby Kroger and Brookshire Brothers, and prices are competitive if not lower, too, which is the main reason I shop here, especially since I can scoop up other household items here during the same trip (You should check out their clothing section, too. Seriously, you can score some decent finds here for cheap). As satisfactory as the produce selection is here, it obviously doesn't compare with that of HEB down the road. This Walmart also has not one but TWO Red Box kiosks and while the selection does overlap some, each kiosk offers plenty that the other does not. You are able to check their inventory online and reserve your selection so your movie(s) is/are not sold out by the time you get to the kiosk. In general, this location is very clean and well-stocked, and employees are nice and small-town friendly. A-OK, indeed. read more

The 4 stars are for the condition, cleanliness, ease of this Wal-Mart. Anytime I go there is hardly a crowd which is a plus in my book. I can always park close and check out in a timely manner which is saying A LOT for Wal-Mart. I feel like it's our own private location for those of us that live out here. It's not even packed during Christmas! Of course the produce and meat are always lacking so I definitely don't grocery shop here. This place is strictly for Wal-Marty type stuff. They are dumping sewage into Cape Conroe! They have not even told residents. They are leaving much of this on Stanley Lake and Mud and it is not Stanley Lake and Muds fault. It's Walmarts! The Automotive Department is the worst run part of Walmart I have ever seen. Half hour just to talk with someone to see if they had the tires I needed. First they said they didn't. I have them check for another tire. Then they find they do have the tires I needed. So an hour after walking through the door we are ready to do business. Then they say it's going to take Two hours to change 2 tires. And I already have them off the vehicle. This place needs new management Asap. I want to pay now and they say they don't take payment till after they are done. I am 100% certain that will be another fiasco. read more

I have been shopping at the Walmart in Montgomery, Texas for over eight years, since I moved to the area. It has been consistently getting worse over the years, especially since the new Kroger opened a few years ago right down 105. The apathy among the employees is getting so pathetic it is ridiculous. I do not know if it is the low IQ of management, the majority of the employees, or most probably both! I was there this morning looking for a health supplement, and after spending ten minutes not being able to find it, as stocking in alphabetical order seems to be above the stockers mental ability, I asked an employee in that department if he could find it. He looked for about five minutes, and seemed perplexed as a deer in the headlights. I then asked him if he could find out if they even carried the supplement. After he played on his phone for another five minutes, he still did not know. I then asked the pharmacy employees, and their response was " it should be over there if we carry it". I then went up front to speak with the manager, and when I asked a lady watching the check out lines, she informed me she was a front manager, whatever that is. She did not know either, and tried to find it on her phone, to no avail! Disgusted with this store and it's employees I walked out. Magically, HEB had it in stock, exactly where it should have been, in alphabetical order.... I have been puzzled for awhile why so many people these days are going with curbside pickup versus doing their own shopping. It is becoming more clear now! read more

Usually a speedy checkout, and pretty easy to find everything I need. Unfortunately, if you need something in the electronics section, good luck finding someone. And if there is a price discrepancy at the register, I've never had a cashier offer to fix it for me. They usually just look at me all wide-eyed until I say never mind. Lol. But all in all, a great walmart. MUCH better than the Conroe store. We live in Conroe, almost right across the street from that walmart, and we still drive to Montgomery because it is SO much better! read more

This Walmart is in need of a renovation. First it will take you 10 minutes to find a cart that has 4 rolling wheels and a low amount of noise. The fruits and vegtables have little to no moisture. They often run out of exotic items like lemons. If you do find some with moisture you will notice they often run out of produce bags. Once your shirt is full of vegtables , you will notice chickens draining in the meat cooler. Rainbow beef and so forth. The bright side is you will save a lot of money. read more

To those of you who are so critical of this Walmart, you should shop at some in CA. This place will then seem like Paradise! It's clean; the staff is helpful and friendly; there is little worry about being mugged in the parking lot. The times I've been there, the shelves have been well stocked, and if an item isn't there, one of the employees will search for it in the back. What more do you want? Yes, some of the produce is a bit "iffy" here and there, but in general, it seems fresh and the price is right. (Bulk produce is usually cheaper and fresher at Costco, I must admit.) Have shopped at this location many times after Midnight since I can't leave my dog in the car during the day due to the heat. Even then, the staff is helpful and smiling, regardless of being pulled away from their stocking duties. I'm thankful there is such a convenient store so close to my new home on Lake Conroe. Wow! I hate Walmart and that's not a huge shocker. I'm sure most people have terrible Walmart stories. But last night it activated my "personal offense" rule. Went to check out at 11pm. 2 register lights were on; 1 at self-checkout and 1 20 items or less register. We walked up to self checkout and we were told it was closed, forcing us to join the other 8 parties in line for the only open register. The line continued to grow, when all of a sudden CJ opened a new register and took the last 4 customers in line.... wait, say what???? So I called CJ our on it. "CJ, did you seriously just open a register and take the people at the end of the line, ignoring the people who had already been waiting longer?" "Yes," he said, as he lowered his head and kept ushering them into yet a second newly opened register. RUDE!!! I waited to check out. My cashier broke the nervous tension by complimenting my outfit... thanks Jill, but I notice that you forgot to ask me if I found everything ok. I would have said that I didn't find customer curtesy during my visit. I hate Walmart. I think I've already mentioned that. And yeah, I live in small town Texas, so begrudgingly I will return. But what I can promise is that I will ALWAYS choose better shopping options every chance I get. read more

I got my child a "Frozen" cake. The cake looked liked a 3 year working on a pintrest idea gone wrong. It looked like total crap! I am very disappointed, my 15 year old almost cried when she saw it. The pharmacy is awful, I've had a migraine med refill on order now for 3.5 weeks, never comes in, there say "I don't know what happened to your previous order"! It will be here tomorrow or on Monday! Omg what if they give someone the wrong meds, they cannot even get a simple non narcotic order straight in weeks. I've asked what's going on, the apathy is just horrible. They simply don't care, I wouldn't even attempt to do business with these "people" if meds weren't so expensive. This pharmacy is the prototype for bad Walmart service and the typical reaction from employees who just don't give a damn. Do not shop here, go to the Walmart in Conroe or Huntsville, if you have to use this mega giant companies pharmacy! My next step will be a complaint with the Texas board of pharmacies. Kroger and cvs are great on getting this med, just extremely expensive, in case your wondering why I just don't go elsewhere. read more
