My daughter in law went to Walmart and was 9 months pregnant so she was using one of the powered carts. The greeter approached her and told her she should not be using one of the carts. The employee had no right to say anything to her! They CAN NOT legally ask about someone's disability! And just because he couldn't see an outward disability does not mean she doesn't have one or that she shouldn't use the cart. Then 2 days ago after abdominal surgery to deliver the baby she returned to pick up her medication. This time she was told she shouldn't be using a cart " you look fine. These are for old people and people with disabilities!" She doesn't have outward sighs of disabilities and your employees CAN NOT ASK!! My son stated that she just had surgery and he got defensive and said " Well you look fine to me! And you shouldn't use it!" This store needs some serious retraining!! It TOOK them 3 hours for one tire.. got told I was wrong when it turns out they are not trained properly..I had to pay for a rotation even though I bought them there.. I Came in because one of my tires was bulging out. They did not had a copy of my receipt and claim I was given them a bad number but in reality the Walmart associate did jot properly put the information right over the years and I got blamed. Okay, first off.....it's Wal Mart. Enter at your own risk and enter if you dare. I don't imagine one's expectations can be too high when it comes to shopping at Wal Mart, because we've all been in one and can attest that many of the Wal Mart memes you see on the internet are indeed accurate. You never know what craziness lurks behind the doors. With that being said, I have been to countless different Wal Mart stores in my life, and this one scores pretty close to the top of my list when it comes to cleanliness and availability of products on the shelves. This location is one of two in Missoula and is also the largest. The parking lot is of adequate size, so much so that it is not uncommon to see an abundance of RV's camped out in it. Inside, you will find everything your average Wal Mart carries, including groceries. In addition, there is a Subway, an arcade area, an online order pickup area, a money center for those who utilize cashing checks here or find the need to wire money/purchase a money order, a nail salon(ish), customer service desk, optical center, and a hair salon(ish). All those are located at the front of the store. As with most Wal Mart stores, they also have a garden section that is both indoors and outdoors, and an automotive department. Restrooms are located at the front and back of the store, however the ones in the back are much larger and include a separate family restroom which the front doesn't have. Fitting rooms are located in the center of the clothing area between men and women's apparel. What I love about this store is it is clean! Yes, CLEAN! You will not find things tossed around the shelves or on the floor. The staff do an excellent job at keeping the store looking its best. Even at busy times like the holidays, the store still looks neat, and I can definitely appreciate that. I have been to many Wal Mart's where that was not the case. As for the quality of their meat, well let's just say I do not purchase meat here anymore. After two separate occasions of opening up rancid beef and chicken, I learned my lesson. Both times, the meat wasn't expired, but immediately after bringing it home and opening the package, I was hit with the smell of rotting meat. I assume it was not kept at the appropriate temperature as it should have been, so it spoiled. Both times I returned the meat (yes, you read that correctly) along with my receipt and was given a fill refund with no hassle whatsoever. When it comes to Wal Mart's prices, they really can't be beat. I work hard for my money and want to get the most out of it, and Wal Mart is just the place to do that. read more

Never, in my wildest dreams, did I ever think that I would be reviewing a Walmart. But here it is. I want to start off by saying that this city girl has her groceries delivered (Yup, devered to my house. I order them online and the delivery person puts them on my kitchen counter. But, that's a different review.). I HATE to shop. So, I haven't spent a great amount of time in a Walmart or any other store for that matter (the Internet is my friend). I have, however, been to the Walmart near my home on occassion (out of necessity) and it's a truly horrific experience. The place is a madhouse, the staff is not helpful (customers are so inconvenient), and it's very dirty. We happened to have to get some bear spray (repellant, not a cologne) for our recent hiking trip to Glacier National Park. So, out of necessity, we stopped at the Walmart in Missoula, expecting the worst. We were pleasantly surprised--amazed, actually. The first indication that this was going to be different was that the greeter made eye-contact and spoke intelligibly, asking if he could be of service. We paused, amazed. Really, you want to help us? I know this is Montana, but is this an alternate universe? We told him what we needed and he clearly told us to go to Sporting Goods and the exact location. This is where I pause because I've had an epiphany. It's not so much the shopping that I don't like. It's the usual experience that I detest. We go to Sporting Goods, where we meet Shawn. This guy was awesome and should possibly do standup. Shawn not only got us exactly what we needed, but cheerfully demonstrated (in detail) how to use it and offered safety precautions. After this nice experience, we decided to tempt fate and purchase a few other items for our hiking trip. While we were there, we asked other staff members about certain items. They not only answered us (in the same cheerful manner as the greeter and Shawn in Sporting Goods), they walked us directly to the items. The atmosphere was big box bland, but the entire place was spotless and organized. After we returned from Montana, I needed to get something and thought, "I'll go to Walmart!" Unfortunately, I'm not in Montana anymore...it was ghastly. Well, hey Walmart, we'll always have Missoula. read more

WAHOO!!! Walmart is the bomb. It's a mans shopping paradise - everything anyone may need (and want) . In our case, it was restocking water, milk, cereal, bread, t-shirts, treats, "good behavior" gifts, and since we live in Hawaii, souvenirs are the MOST important items on our "go home" list. Mainland Walmarts are absolutely MONSTROUS. It's like a freaking acre under the roof, crazy. This location is right off of Hwy #93 (Reserve Road) and although a little difficult to navigate with a 30' RV, it was relatively easy to get in and out. Staff were pleasant and helpful when asked. There isn't a huge Montana souvenir section (guess they only have this in Hawaii). But, if you looked around, there were Montana Grizzly items (shirts, caps, etc.) and some other made-in-Montana/Montana-related items. I'm not sure where some of these other reviewers are from but back home in the big city Walmarts really suck. Compared to them and in fact any other Big Box store I've been in this place is heaven. It was spotless. The greeter was pleasant and knew the answers to our questions. Our big "want" was to pick up bear spray before heading into the Parks. In the camping department Shawn took his time, was EXTREMELY helpful and even entertaining as he explained Bear Spray etiquette to us city slickers. Questions we put to other employees as we wandered through this large and well stocked store were always met with cheerful, prompt, and correct answers. I went into Walmart for an oil change on June 18, 2023. I've taken it in several times. The auto tech verified my phone number and took my keys. He said they'd be done in about 45 mins. I walked back at 45 mins to find my car sitting in a bay. No hood up or techs around it. I waited another 15 and went back to see the same thing. Then another 15 minutes to find it was gone. I was happy thinking it was finished. I went up to the counter to ask about it since I had not received their usual text..nor a phone call. I was told they didn't have an oil filter for my model. Which is understandable. I asked the lady at the counter why didn't they page, text or call me. She put her hands in the air and shook her head. Super rude, very unprofessional. The worst Walmart! Always out of things, empty shelf space. Super long lines, never enough checkers. Even the self checkouts are always full, because they never have enough checkers. How about you pull that guy from the door, that's looking at people as they go out, and put him on the checkstand. And two or three others. I went to Walmart on Mullen yesterday. I wanted to get a phone adapter for my cellphone. So, I can listen to music as my phone doesn't have the built-in phone jack. The guy in the Electronics saw me coming up to him and he took off as if he didn't want to help me. The customer behind me, "He ditched you." A min later he came back I asked him very nicely and he said, "We don't sell any android here. Go to Best Buy." I thought it was rude on the way he said that to me. I swear I thought they sell android items at Walmart as they sell Samsung phones. I did look on their website after that and they do have it and even had the aisle number at it's: Aisle K3! very disappointed. He didn't even look or check on his phone either to be sure. They will be out of everything you need. I don't know why this store can't get it together but it's been this way for 12 years. You would think I would have learned by now. The loss prevention officers grabbed ahold of me and threatened me because they mistook me for someone else. They ripped my purse that I was carrying and shouted at me like I'd killed their child or something. Then after searching my bags and realizing I wasn't stealing anything, THEY DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE!! I can't believe this! I went here to do some grocery shopping and left with a ruined purse. The loss prevention officers were a fat, 40-something brunette woman named Callie/Cali and a tall blond 40-something man who refused to give his name (who was the one who grabbed me hard by the arm, jerked me around violently, and ripped my purse trying to tug it off my arm). I'm absolutely furious, and will be contacting this Walmart's legal team. Just because they have crappy jobs and not enough to do during the day does NOT mean they can treat random customers like this! It's unacceptable! read more

Extremely disappointed with their pickup service and their customer service abilities. My mom and I live near Darby and used their pickup service to order our groceries since we are both trying to limit our exposure and social distance ourselves. Our pickup was scheduled for 4pm-5pm. We get there at 4:05pm and contact them that we are here to pickup our groceries (which appear on our app as paid for). They cannot seem to find our order even though we provide the receipt and order number confirming it's the correct location. We wait for 30 more minutes to be told "your order got lost in the system we can't give you your groceries today" Once again we had drove from further beyond Hamilton to come and get our groceries and we expressed our dissatisfaction to both the gentleman helping us then to his supervisor. After driving a total of 2.5 hours and waiting for almost an hour at this Walmart we were not given any solutions or any priority and we were told because there system failed we could not have our groceries. I worked as a manger at Whole Foods for several years and this was situation was mind blowing to me. If you are providing a service that customers are paying for, spending time and money for and your service has failed - you need to make this right and you need to make it number 1 priority. If I was the supervisor/manager at this Walmart I would have dropped what I was doing and personally saw to it that we got our groceries. Extremely disappointed with how this was handled and we will be spending our money elsewhere from now on and encouraging others to shop elsewhere as well. read more

Went here a few days ago, cart full of food, went to check out and the cashier wouldn't sell me my Redd's wicked cherry because I had my two underage kids with me. I was pissed but finished paying for my stuff instead of leaving like I should have. I took my beer to the service center and paid there. Nothing is stocked! Nothing is priced! The "roll back" prices are a joke, they raise them first and then "roll them back", so they aren't cheaper. I could deal with that, but they were out of 75% of the items on my shopping list. None of the employees can even tell you where something might be in the store! And walk you there? Not gonna happen. Imagine my surprise when I weighed the bucket when checking out to see it was only 2.37 pounds. Cost of $13.88. Thank goodness for the Albertsons across the street.
